Katherine’s house was just perfect! A beautiful home with a great pool and lots of space. Walkable to restaurants and a comfortable area. We couldn’t have been more happy!

We really enjoyed the space and the unbeatable location of this home. The backyard and pool area are top-tier! The house is very large and comfortable for a big family. We did have some trouble with the plumbing (hot water and bathtub stoppers), and while the host was great at communicating and tried to assist, the house is showing a bit of wear and tear. If those few things were updated, it would be a 10/10 stay!

We enjoyed our stay immensely! The house is in a great location, quiet but close to the store, eating, and BEACH! and the yard and pool were wonderful! I will miss my morning coffee watching the hummingbirds and butterflies and listening to the howler monkeys! We hope for another visit!

Pool and backyard were phenomenal. Willie and Katherine are kind and responsive. Amenities and recommendations were great (check out Hemingways). We heard the monkeys and a cow strolled by the backyard to say hi.

We’ve had a wonderful one-week vacation at Katherine’s place. It’s a quiet, safe, well-supplied, rather big house with a nice pool — also close to the beach and a small commercial center in case you need anything (eg fresh croissants in the morning or pharmaceutical products) Very good value for $$.

This was our second time staying at Katherine’s house. We love it there so much! The location is AWESOME! Very close to lots of great restaurants and a great base for other areas of the Guanacaste province. The property manager, Willie…. Can’t say enough about how helpful and responsive he is! The home is comfortable and well equipped. The pool is sublime….perfect. We highly recommend this home.

The extensive black mould issue made for such a bad smell, we couldn’t use one of the bedrooms. The house was generally dirty (dusty, sticky remotes and cupboard doors, dirty toilet and showers). Gas range knobs were broken. The showers are not at all accessible. Something to note for kids and anyone with mobility issues. Indoor cameras were tapped over but still on. It felt like a total invasion or privacy. The AC unit in the kitchen area leaked (even if only running at 24). We had to keep a bowl under it or not run it at all. Katherine gave us 30% off for our stay when we complained about the black mould but the cleaning would never have been enough to remove the smell and negative health impacts. We have stayed in other Air BnBs in Costa Rica and contrary to Katherine’s explanation that this comes with tropical climates, it does not. We would not recommend this place. It’s a great location and the backyard is beautiful but we couldn’t wait to get out of there.

Katherine’s house is in a wonderful location with large trees where we saw monkeys almost daily, racoons, iguanas and many birds. The pool was nice and the shade of the rancho was welcome during the heat of the day. We rented a golf cart and that worked really well for getting to the beaches and to restaurants because, while they are close by, the main road is narrow and can be quite busy. The house itself needs some maintenance and repairs. The local property manager, Willie, was extremely helpful and answered any questions that we had very promptly.

Lovely home near one of the best beaches in the country! We were very comfortable during our 6 day stay, with 5 adults moving around, and felt very safe. Hosts were extremely kind and communicative, answering any questions we had about activities or eating recommendations. We loved sitting outside by the pool every morning and listening to the howler monkeys and watching the iguanas. Best trip we've taken and the memories we made we will cherish forever!
