The house sits at the mountain’s base, about 40 meters above the water and roughly 150 yards from the sandy shore. Through the palms and almond trees, there is a partial view of the ocean. The open-air design maximizes natural mountain and ocean breezes throughout the day, enhancing the outdoor living experience.

My wife grew up in Matapalo so we were looking for the full jungle experience but still be comfortable. Our place was up on the hill with a big grass yard but we were still surrounded by nature. The cleaners came in the middle of our stay & provided fresh bedding & towels. This place exceeded our expectations and we would love to come back!

Second time renting this beautiful home. Las Almendra, Gretchen and the staff never disappoint. Fishing with local Captain Jose was great. Landed an 80 lb. tuna and three sails. Did a road trip to Ave Azul de Osa to visit Patrick. Very informative guy! Wish we could have stayed longer, Gretchen. Will return, leave the light on for us, LOL

The house was everything I wanted for our Osa experience. I have spent a fair amount of time in the Osa but this was the first time I rented a home. It was perfect. Already eyeing it for next year.

Superbe maison fidèle aux photos dans un cadre exceptionnel. Très proche des spots de surf. On peut observer en autre des singes et des perroquets dans le jardin. Gretchen a été très disponible et de très bon conseil pour les cours de surf et les activités (dolphins and snorkelling). Seul léger bémol, nous n’avions pas compris que la maison faisait partie d’un ensemble de maisons. Peut-être utile d’en préciser le nombre. Cela rend l’expérience un peu moins Jungle. Cela étant la maison reste superbe et bien isolée des autres. Nous avons passé un superbe séjour. Merci Gretchen.
