Comida y bebidas cercanas

Great for a surf trip! The screened in porch was fabulous. The place is big enough for 1-2. Minimal supplies but enough to make meals. Necessities like water (5gallons/week), tp, clean towels were promptly supplied. I had a wonderful time in El Gigante.

A very nice and cosy stay. Location is pretty good, not far from the town nor the beach. There is no internet or service but you dont really need that there ( you can go to the town, where there is some free wifi). All in all we were very happy, we had everything we needed and the people managing the place were very nice.

The casita is a lovely place to stay for a little while. Bed is comfortable, we slept with the fan on, which does make some noise, so if you get bothered by that, be aware. Everything is simple, but functional and has everything you need. We were positively surprised by the electric shower, as we had no hot water anywhere else in Nica in this price range accommodation. The kitchen has a basic equipment and the only thing we were really missing was cutting board. There was some drinking water available for us as well. The little terrace is a great place to relax and there are a lot of animals around, wild ones (Monkeys+birds) and farm ones (pigs+hens) alike. The walk into town and to the beach is not bad (5min). Only downsides: We didn't really have great communication with Dave, as never seemed to really read our messages and only half-answered questions, which was confusing. Also the wifi didn't work and was not fixed during our stay, so we had to use his other place for this.

The place was hard ti find even for an experienced taxi driver. Dale NEVER answered his phone. There was NO internet or WiFi. Places to buy food were limited. There were to ATM machines in the whole town. Lots of dangerous loose dogs

Dale ended up giving us an upgrade and we had a lovely view of the ocean. Perfect little place with your own kitchen on the balcony in the most idyllic spot. Everything that you need there with a shop a few steps away. Nice quite place with lots of friendly poochies to cuddle.

I booked this place that is also from Dale but I wanted to change to another one called "la casita" that had already been there before, it was not a problem to do it. I really like the place because it is very central and easy to find, the place is safe, it has security personnel at night, the beach is a few steps away, in the place there is a “sale”. There are several restaurants close by, the prices in Gigante are good compared to other close beaches. The house was clean, the kitchen had everything you need.

I stayed here for a week on my own. It is quietly located, 5 minutes walk to the beach( Playa amarillo is a very nice beach) and the restaurants. The porch is fully screened with mesh, so you can sit through it all day without being bothered by mosquitoes. There are pigs, cows and dogs walking by and there are monkeys in the trees. The accommodation is basic, but has everything you need. After 3 days it was asked if the place could be cleaned, and if I needed new towels. There is WiFi available, but it does not work super well. El gigante is worth visiting and the accommodation is recommended.
