Overview
Casa Pizote is situated 15 minutes above Uvita on a mountain ridge, offering refreshing natural breezes and spectacular views of the famous Whale Tail. This modern tropical contemporary home is nestled in the mountains, providing ocean sunsets throughout the year. The property is surrounded by tropical forest, where you can observe wildlife such as toucans and monkeys while relaxing by the pool.
The house is just a 5-minute drive from stunning beaches and 10 minutes from the Whale Tail Marine Park.
The Space
All rooms benefit from excellent ventilation, maintaining a constant and pleasant airflow throughout the house. Most guests find ceiling fans unnecessary as the temperature typically ranges between 77-80°F (25-27°C) during the day and around 68°F (20°C) at night.
Please note that for safety reasons—due to open stairs and an unfenced pool—the house is not suitable for children under 12 years old. Pets, including dogs, are not permitted.
Guest Access
Guests have exclusive access to the entire property, including the house, garden, and pool. Parking includes four spaces:
- One covered garage space with direct house access
- Three additional parking spots around the house
The road leading to the house is partially steep, so an all-wheel drive (AWD) or four-wheel drive (4x4) vehicle is required.
Additional Information
During the rainy season, especially from September to December, the road can become rough and bumpy. A 4WD or AWD vehicle is mandatory, and careful, slow driving is recommended.

A really great place to stay – you have the place completely to yourself. You can also spot the occasional gecko in the house 🦎🙈🥰 and hear animal sounds at any time. Totally calming house with a great pool We will be happy to come back, especially because of the simple and helpful communication :) Thank you very much !

This place is absolutely magical and the host was lovely and communicative. Mo and Nadine are very accommodating. While the place is absolutely gorgeous, I would be mindful if you are sensitive to the humidity. I decided I did need AC in June which is a very humid month and some days there was not as much airflow in the house. I’m sure it would be different in the dryer months. The mattresses were a little hard for my liking but that is personal preference. Overall a lovely stay and magical house with great communication from hosts.

TOP RANKING! Best Airbnb I've ever been to. complete privacy at the top of the mountain . this place is truly special . Amazing nature and mega friendly host . Perfect airflow through the house, wildlife abundance and jungle sounds creates a peaceful environment to unplug from modern life. Epic ocean view. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. What an amazing setting! Everything we needed was there. Mo was very nice and very helpful with lots of good local insights. Not too far to town and with incredible views of the ocean and surrounding forest. The howling monkeys were awesome! Looked forward to them each morning. We would totally recommend this place to anyone. We were there in late March during evidently the hottest part of the year, but the nights were very pleasant for sleeping even without AC.

We had a great stay at this bnb! It’s a pristine location for bird watching so be sure to pack binoculars. It also comes with immaculate sunsets which we made sure to never miss. I was a little skeptical about not having AC but with the little standing fan on, plus all the windows open I was fine the whole trip! Thanks Mo and Nadine!

Third stay at Caza Pizote, and everything is still just as great! Beautiful view, privacy and tranquility, pets allowed… Great communication with Moises as well! In short, recommend!
