Casa Calyx es un refugio rodeado de jardines con vistas al mar, a poca distancia a pie de una cafetería y de la playa.
La propiedad ofrece amplias vistas del oleaje hasta el horizonte sobre Playa Santa Teresa por un lado y una exuberante reserva natural por el otro. Aunque el océano está a solo 12 minutos a pie, la casa brinda un escape tranquilo del animado pueblo que se encuentra abajo. El servicio de limpieza está incluido.
El espacio
Santa Teresa es conocida por su excelente surf y su amplia variedad de opciones gastronómicas internacionales. Para los huéspedes que prefieren cocinar en casa, la cocina diseñada por un chef cuenta con vistas al mar.
La casa es ideal para parejas y familias.
El tercer dormitorio también puede funcionar como oficina e incluye:

Acceso de los huéspedes
Se recomienda un vehículo con tracción en las cuatro ruedas o un vehículo todoterreno para llegar a la propiedad, y con gusto podemos sugerir opciones de transporte.
No es indispensable contar con un vehículo para los huéspedes que se sientan cómodos caminando por el camino de montaña. Nosotros lo hacemos con regularidad.
Información importante
La plomería y los inodoros son sensibles, como es común en los entornos selváticos. No coloque nada en el inodoro. El papel higiénico usado debe depositarse en el basurero junto al inodoro, como es práctica habitual en Santa Teresa.
En Costa Rica, pueden ocurrir interrupciones ocasionales del servicio de agua y electricidad. Por lo general, son breves y forman parte normal de la vida en islas y zonas costeras. Aunque hacemos todo lo posible por minimizar las molestias, algunas interrupciones pueden estar fuera de nuestro control.
Es posible que la propiedad no sea adecuada para niños menores de 10 años debido a un desnivel pronunciado en el borde del patio trasero. Algunas familias con niños más pequeños se han hospedado cómodamente, pero queremos proporcionar esta información para que pueda determinar si la propiedad es adecuada para su familia.

I’d buy this home and live in it forever if I could! A massive tree fell the night before we checked in and caused a major power outage, but Mariel was the absolute most helpful the entire time! I definitely left a piece of my heart there in Santa Teresa and I will absolutely come back!

We had an amazing time. The location was so perfect. I would jog down to the beach every day. The house was gorgeous. We loved cooking in the kitchen and playing in the pool. The BBQ was great too! The bedrooms were so nice and cool with the excellent A/C and ocean views. The animals around the house were very cool! We loved seeing the iguana’s & butterflies around the pool. We also appreciated the house cleaner and the house maintenance man, they were great! We would love to stay here again!

As frequent Santa Teresa visitors with remote work needs, we asked the host about privacy and sunset views before booking a two-week+ stay. The featured sunset photo proved misleading with overgrown vegetation fully blocking the view, unaddressed by the host. She also claimed neighbors weren't visible, but a walkway neighbor looks directly into the home and backyard. We lost water a full day, had multiple power outages, construction noise, and parking interruptions from neighbors, disrupting our work and stay. The host declined our request for early cancellation, cited the policy, then stopped communicating within two days of check-in. Jairo, the caretaker, was the exception, professional and helpful. We worked with Airbnb who approved a partial refund and are they are assuring the host complies with their policies so future guests are not impacted. We encourage future guests to vet this host carefully.

The only thing I would recommend, which affected us, was the lack of blackout curtains in the rooms. When it gets light, it is very difficult to continue sleeping. The curtains they have don't block out the light.

Had a great stay here. The location is ideal, just up the street from the center of town. You can walk in about 10 minutes, but the climb is steep. If you do not walk, you will need a quad or a 4 x 4 SUV. The backyard views and sunsets are incredible. The beds are on the firm side if that matters to you. Overall, a great experience. I would definitely come back.

We had a wonderful week at Casa Calyx. From the ocean views below to the howler monkeys up above we truly had the best time relaxing and enjoying the sun. We had one small hiccup with an electricity outage, but Mariel and the house caretaker Jiro were very helpful in getting the issue resolved. Highly recommend this stay!

Great location! Just up the hill from the man drag of the city. Beautiful view and house over all. Mariel and Jairo were great with response times and any questions we had along with helping us book a driver.

Great location in the heart of Santa Teresa but off the beaten path so very private. Watch the surfers below from the plunge pool while the howler monkeys watch you from the trees! Wonderful stay. Will book again.
