The place was great!!! Especially the open walls (protected with mesh facing outward) and thus this proximity to nature, including the soundscape. Less than a 4-minute walk to the ocean. With a coffee cup in hand, a highlight every day. A dream. Cahuita is tranquil, sleepy, and lovable. Authentic Caribbean cuisine. National park with a beautiful beach for swimming.

FABULOUS! This is the PERFECT place to be. The home is tucked away on the property offering everything you need plus privacy. Our favorite spot was the covered front porch. The best spot for early morning coffee, and before bed chilling. We listening to Howling monkeys, birds, rain and all of nature. Jimmy and Annette have thought of everything, everything you need in the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. The visitors guide they have on their website, with recommendations of sites and restaurants is perfect for visitors. The Reggae Bar was a favorite restaurant and the Bri Bri waterfalls was our favorite hike. The location of Cahuita is so convenient, keeps you away from the overly touristy chaos, yet just a few minutes drive to everything. We would and will recommend this place to everyone. Dont hesitate to make this your vacation spot. Thank you to Jimmy and Annette for the incredible hospitality, this was just what we wanted and we enjoyed every minute if it. Pura Vida, ❤️

We absolutely LOVED the little casita! The beauty and elegance of its simple design offers warmth and functionality. Close to shops and the beach, but you’re tucked away amid gorgeous, lush greenery so privacy is never an issue. Quiet, peaceful yet local nightlife is yours should you choose to venture out. Everyone has been warm and welcoming. Muchas gracias, Jimmy, Annette, Shevonne and Rise Caribe Team! We so appreciate you all. Pura Vida!

We had a 3 night stay at Jimmy's place and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The unit is managed by Caribe management and they are very proactive and responsive. They met us on site for a tour to ensure we knew where everything was. Jimmy was also on site and quite helpful. We certainly felt well cared for. The home is extremely private. We were welcomed by Brillo, a beautiful and very friendly poodle. The grounds are beautifully landscaped. We woke up to the sounds of birds singing and the howler monkeys howling. Amazing!! The home has everything you need and close enough to Cahuita to get anything else you would like and a short walk to the beach. This was our 5th time to Costa Rica but our first time to the Carribean side. I am so glad we made the decision to visit. We will be back.

Without hesitation this sweet sanctuary nestled within lush greenery has been one of my favorites stays!!! Bird lovers, no need to leave the hammock! Counted 24 species joining the morning cacophony! Morning and late afternoon beach strolls where I may have seen 2-3 others. Brio the resident Standard Poodle worked his way into my heart within minutes. Had some wonderful conversations with Jimmy the host, welcoming, informative and respectful. Hesitant to leave, in my hopes to return.

We really enjoyed staying at Jimmy's place. The place was really gorgeous. There was a lot to discover on his property. Thanks to the open-plan design (screen doors instead of windows), you had a completely different connection to nature. Jimmy is a very good host and could be reached at any time of the day. We gladly accepted his recommendations for the area and, as a result, explored Cahuita quite extensively. Thank you very much and Pura Vida 🇨🇷

This is our second time staying At Pequeño Paráiso and we love it. It’s always hard to leave. The bungalow is perfect, with all the amenities we could ever want, including a blender! We also appreciated having a compost bin and the coffee and sugar available to guests. Having the option to rent bikes is handy too which made it easy to bike to town without having to drive. It’s a short distance into town on a dirt road and feels very safe. This place is a gem.

We had a great 7 night stay at Pequeno Paraiso and we highly recommend it to anyone considering the Cahuita area. The casita is exactly as pictured. The kitchen is well provisioned for meal prep. The purified water was a total bonus! The shower is fabulous with loads of hot water. We loved the open air concept with all the screens - it kept us very connected to the sights and sounds of the nature all around. The location is amazing. It is a two minute walk to Playa Grande, but you also have the option to walk or drive the road along the coast into town, passing beaches and restaurants on the way. There are many activities within a short drive - whether you want to lounge on a different beach everyday, head to one of the many national parks, or explore Puerto Viejo. Jimmy was an amazing host, quickly responsive and helpful for even mundane questions. We would definitely return here in the future.
