Overall a good experience, however, the pictures are outdated and there is alot more wear and tear (as in cracks in all the walls and floors). The one tv in the family room is about 25 in., way too small for the whole room. Rene, the superhost, is only in comunication BEFORE the stay. Once there she is not available, there is a different property manager with a pretty thick accent., and to me, she was not all that welcoming. We really enjoyed the beachtown of Placencia (the Barefoot Bar and Tipsy Tuna) and had alot of fun riding the golf carts there. Nautical Adventures was beautiful sailboats, I would definitely recommend them.

The house was attractive as advertised. The beach and the shoreline was filled with seaweed so not appealing. The pool was great. The a/c in most of the house is on a timer and we felt for the cost of the rental we should have been able to keep the place as cool as was comfortable. We also felt for the price there should have been a cleaning service daily. There was a minor issue over a sliding door accessing the outdoors from the main room that looked like it had been a problem in the past. It jammed. The house manager was brusque and a bit condescending when the repairman seemed to blame us for the problem. The fellow who lives on the property and attended to our general needs and questions was terrific, very responsive and very friendly.

When we were leaving, Carmen asked us if there was anything they could improve upon. Honestly, there isn’t a thing we could complain about. La Rotonda was extremely well thought out and we had an amazingly relaxing stay. Highly recommend.

We had a blast at La Rotonda! Two families stayed on the property for one week and we loved the house with its well-appointed features, wonderful location and attentive caretakers. Can’t wait to come back and stay again.

We Really enjoyed our stay at the la Rotonda We celebrated Mother’s Day weekend there the place was spacious the beds were extremely comfortable had a nice kitchen enjoyed cooking Also a beautiful pool had a lot of fun in there as well , And very safe there was always a caretaker on the yard which made us feel so relaxed and safe , and a very friendly host. We have recommended this place to our friends already

We came to Belize for our first time with two other couples, to celebrate my husband and I’s 10 year wedding anniversary and my 30th birthday. What a treat it was to stay at La Rotonda. The setting was perfect, it was off the road a little ways back and and was gated, which made us feel so safe( not that we needed that, Placencia all around was a safe place to be)! There was plenty of room for all of us and the layout of the house great. We rented golf carts for the duration of our stay and it was only about a ten minute drive into Placencia. Two of our days we didn’t even leave the house, it was so great. The house was so much bigger in person than we thought it was going to be! The pool was perfect and having the beach right there was awesome, we went out there everyday to swim, kayak or paddle board. The bed and bedding was very comfortable for a great nights sleep at the end of our busy days. We were admittedly nervous to drink the water out of the fridge, but it was just fine. We picked fresh coconuts and mangoes off of the trees on the property and ate them and added them to our drinks, DELICIOUS!! If you’re a coffee drinker, don’t forget to grab some fresh cream and Sugar at the store, YUUUUMMM!! Noel, the caretaker of the property was one of the best parts of our trip, and one of the nicest people we met. He was so knowledgeable of his country and was full of information that he was happy to share with us. He worked hard at keeping the place pristine and we were very grateful to have him around everyday to visit with. We also loved having the house pup, Rex and friend Precious to hang with! We were asked if it was okay for them to hang around and our group, being the dog lovers we are, said absolutely!! We all became the best of friends and they even came for the ocean swims with us, making sure we were ok, which was pretty neat. The location was great for all of the things that we wanted to do, such as ziplining in the jungle and going to find some whale sharks and snorkel the reef! We can’t wait to come back! We fell in love with Belize.
