El espacio
CLUB DE PLAYA HACIENDA PINILLA
El Club de Playa Hacienda Pinilla se encuentra justo en las orillas de Playa Avellanas, con una piscina infinita que ofrece vista al famoso rompiente de olas Little Hawaii. El club tiene algo para todos:
- Cócteles y batidos de frutas en el bar tiki junto a la piscina
- Descansar en las tumbonas
- Surfear en las olas de clase mundial de Playa Avellanas
- Ejercitarse en el gimnasio con vista al océano
- Relajarse con un masaje en el centro de bienestar
¡Es el día de playa perfecto! El club cierra anualmente en octubre. Como huésped de esta propiedad, la entrada al club cuesta $5 (pago único por día para mayores de 10 años).
PLAYAS
Con 3 millas de costa dentro del rancho de 4500 acres, siempre hay un rincón, una piscina natural o una ola por descubrir.
- Playa Mansita y Bonita: hogar del hotel JW Marriott, ideal para caminar por la playa y explorar piscinas naturales en marea baja.
- Playa Langosta: surf de clase mundial, pesca en playa y río. Considerada la joya oculta de Hacienda Pinilla, sus palapas sombreadas son perfectas para un día de playa a la sombra, y está a solo un paseo y cruce de río de la acción en Playa Langosta y Tamarindo.
- Playa Avellanas: hogar del Club de Playa Hacienda Pinilla y seis rompientes de surf de clase mundial, incluyendo Little Hawaii, El Estero, Dead Tree y Lolas.
HOTEL JW MARRIOTT
Hacienda Pinilla es hogar del hotel JW Marriott, cuyos huéspedes tienen acceso a varios restaurantes. También es posible comprar un pase diario para usar la piscina del hotel, la más grande de Centroamérica. Este pase permite acceso a todas las instalaciones y áreas del hotel.

CAMPO DE GOLF
Campo de golf frente al mar de 18 hoyos par 72, con un hoyo frente a la playa que ofrece una vista espectacular del atardecer en una playa apartada.
CANCHAS DE TENIS
Tres canchas de tenis de superficie dura con instructor en el lugar. Se ofrecen clases privadas, semi-privadas y grupales. También hay campamentos para niños y eventos de pickleball regularmente.
ESTABLOS DE CABALLOS
La mejor forma de explorar el rancho de 4500 acres es a caballo. Hay tours disponibles en cualquier momento, personalizables según las necesidades del grupo, con paseos de 30 minutos a 2 horas que recorren el bosque y las playas apartadas dentro del rancho.
SENDEROS PARA BICICLETA DE MONTAÑA
Con más de 45 kilómetros de senderos a lo largo del rancho, bosque y costa, Hacienda Pinilla es un lugar ideal para ciclismo de montaña. Ofrece rutas naturales escénicas y senderos exigentes para todo tipo de ciclistas, brindando aventura, desafío y diversión para familias, principiantes y expertos.
SURF
Hacienda Pinilla es uno de los mejores lugares en Costa Rica para basar tu viaje de surf. Cuenta con seis olas en Playa Avellanas y acceso privado a los rompientes de Playa Langosta, por lo que no necesitas salir del rancho. Si deseas explorar, los famosos rompientes de arrecife de Playa Negra están a solo 10 minutos al sur, y la desembocadura del río y rompientes de Tamarindo a 10 minutos al norte.

El Club de Playa Hacienda Pinilla está en Playa Avellanas, con piscina infinita frente al rompiente Little Hawaii. Nota importante
Queremos que todos nuestros huéspedes disfruten su estancia en The Sanctuary. Esta casa está en una comunidad privada y cerrada con residentes principalmente permanentes y familias. Hay una política MUY ESTRICTA de silencio entre las 10 p.m. y las 6 a.m.
Esta propiedad no es adecuada para fiestas o eventos. Es ideal para grupos de adultos y familias que respeten a los vecinos y las normas comunitarias. The Sanctuary was absolutely perfect for our family vacation. the home is beautiful, the beds are comfortable, everything was pristine, and the outdoor living space was what made the house! We grilled out.multiole nights and watched the monkeys and birds play in the trees. We would definitely visit again.

We truly enjoyed our stay! The house is absolutely beautiful - thoughtfully designed, very comfortable, and perfect for a relaxing family getaway. Our kids especially loved the pool, which quickly became their favorite spot. The beds were very comfortable, and the bedding felt soft and high quality, making it easy to rest and recharge. One of the highlights was the nearby private beach, such a special place, especially at sunset. It felt peaceful, scenic, and not crowded at all. We also followed the host’s restaurant recommendations and ended up visiting almost all of them, each one was an amazing local gem with great food and atmosphere. Highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a beautiful, comfortable stay with thoughtful touches and great local experiences!

I was tasked with planning a vacation for my family, 3 generations vacationing together. We had never been to Costa Rica and I wanted it to be a vacation we wouldn't forget, and it was. I could not have done it without Joel, he was the perfect host. He helped us arrange transportation, order groceries and pick the perfect excursions. Prior to our stay and while we were at Hacienda Pinilla Joel was responsive, friendly and helpful. I can't say enough good things about Joel. We also had the pleasure of meeting Viviana who took care of us during our stay. She was friendly and went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves had everything we needed. Hacienda Pinilla and our Airbnb was perfect for our family. The house was beautiful and very clean. The kitchen had almost everything we needed. My only suggestion would be have more oven cookware. The design of the house was well thought out and gave our family a lot of privacy. Thank you Joel and Viviana for making our stay magical!

My family and I had the best experience staying at The Sanctuary. It’s located in a beautiful neighborhood—very private and safe. The villa has everything you need and we especially enjoyed being by the pool listening to our favorite playlists while being connected via Bluetooth to the outdoor speakers. The housekeeper did a wonderful job straightening up each morning which was awesome. We did rent a car which made it easy to get to JW Marriott and the beach club—two very nice places in Hacienda Pinilla that you have access to and are 5 minute drives from the villa. We found it to be an easy 20 minute drive into the city of Tamarindo and got to explore amazing restaurants, shops, and all the Pura Vida vibes. Highly recommend staying at The Sanctuary!!! Thanks Joel for being a fantastic host :)

Joel was an exceptional host- super responsive and helpful - which made our family trip extremely easy. The home is in a wonderful location- private but still close to amenities. The beach club was a great perk- especially if you are traveling with a family. Housekeeping was exceptional and the breakfast each morning was delicious and a great way to enjoy local cuisine. We highly recommend and would stay again- our family really enjoyed our time. Thank you!

Great house for our family! Enough rooms for our large party with 5 kids. Love the fact that the pool is visible from everywhere, the size and depth were perfect for our kids. Joel and his team were incredibly helpful and responsive to all of our questions.

We had an excellent stay at Joel’s house in Hacienda Pinilla. The house was great in every way — very comfortable, clean, well-equipped, and perfectly located. Everything worked flawlessly and made our stay easy and enjoyable. Joel was a great host, very responsive and helpful. A special shout-out to Doña Lulu, the housekeeper — she was absolutely amazing, incredibly kind, and did a fantastic job. She truly made our stay even better. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this place.

Joel's place was really nice. The neighborhood was nice as well and we felt very safe. We had 3 families stay in the house, 11 adults and 2 children. Plenty of room for all of us. Communication with the host was good overall and they always responded quickly. The housekeeper did a great job. She came every morning at 9 am to clean. We did have one complaint about the stay. You can schedule breakfast to be cooked for you for a fee of $50. The housekeeper is the one that cooks the breakfast. We scheduled breakfast for Dec 24th with Joel at 7am, but the housekeeper never showed up. She did show up at 9am that morning to clean the house and when we asked her, she said she was never told about the breakfast. Other than that, everything was really good and I would recommend this house. Good location and safe neighborhood.
