Casa Tranquilidad is situated just over a mile from the main road, providing easy access to local dining, shopping, and transportation. Highlights include:

- Two restaurants and a small grocery store within half a mile
- Small gated community with only eight homes

Wildlife and Environment
Due to its proximity to Manuel Antonio National Park, guests can expect frequent encounters with local wildlife such as monkeys, toucans, and sloths from the comfort of the property.
Please note that the natural setting means occasional encounters with insects (ants, mosquitoes, spiders) and native animals (snakes, lizards). Precautions are taken to minimize these interactions, but they are part of the authentic Costa Rican experience.
Important Information and Policies
- A signed and fully completed rental agreement with names, ages, and photo ID is required within 24 hours of booking. The primary renter must be at least 25 years old. No unregistered guests are allowed at any time.
- A $500 security deposit hold is required. A one-time $37 administrative fee applies to all bookings. Quiet hours are strictly enforced from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
- Guests are responsible for locking all doors and windows when absent to protect the property and personal belongings.
- Power outages may occur during heavy rainstorms, which is typical in Costa Rica. Emergency flashlights are available, and the concierge can assist if needed. No refunds are issued for weather-related interruptions.
- Air conditioning is installed only in the bedrooms. Bedroom doors should remain closed when AC is running, and AC should not be left on when rooms are unoccupied.
- Third-party travel insurance is required to cover cancellations outside the rental policy.
- Pets, smoking, loud music, commercial photography, parties, and events are not permitted.
- Security cameras monitor the parking area, main entrance, and gardens for safety purposes.
Additional Notes
- The property offers open-air living spaces with air conditioning limited to bedrooms.
- The entertainment room with the queen sleeper sofa is not air-conditioned but has ceiling and floor fans.
- Laundry service is included.

Our family of 10 spend 3 nights over the Labor day weekend at Casa Tranquilidad. It was an outstanding experience. Our concierge Susan was extremely helpful to advice and arrange our whole trip. As a result our Costa Rica experience was one of the best we have had in recent memory. Our chefs Roberto and Renzo were outstanding in their care in preparing and serving all the meals, being mindful and professional about all our requests. All the the meals were equal if not better than restaurant quality. We were honored and grateful to receive such personal care and attention. I'd like to give them 10 stars.

Very nice accommodation. The outdoor areas, especially the patio and pool, are fantastic. The staff we met, especially Suzan and Andrea, are very friendly and helpful. However, there is still a problem with the showers, because if several of us take a shower at the same time, we no longer have hot water or flow, and this is still problematic given the standard of the house and its cost.

Brought my kids and my grand kids here. The house was amazing! Looks the same as the pictures. Lots of monkeys, birds and other wildlife coming through daily. Susan the concierge was top notch. She helped us out with an everything from local restaurants, to helping us open safes. Bedrooms were nice and chilly and the main rooms were very inviting. The maid was outstanding and the chefs that were scheduled for us were outstanding. I recommend this house 100%. Scott’s on top of his game with this one! Thanks for the incredible time and memories made!

Beautiful home! Felt very private, and we thoroughly enjoyed the jungle (monkeys, toucans, macaws, butterflies) as we relaxed in the large pool. Do yourself a favor and at least book one night with a meal provided by the private chef!

This place is beyond amazing! The house was immaculate. We were able to see all kinds of animals including monkeys and birds right from the balcony. Susan was so helpful and on top of everything. She helped us with all the excursions and her communication was great. Andrea was an amazing housekeeper and so friendly. Everything was so clean!

We stayed for a week with three couples. The home itself is large, beautiful, and backs directly to the national forest, which was absolutely amazing. During our stay we saw monkeys and iguanas right from the property. One of our favorite parts of the home was the large upstairs balcony table where we spent a lot of time eating meals, playing games, and relaxing together. The housekeeping service included laundry service, which was a huge bonus and appreciated. Our tours were arranged through the property (Susan) and she did an excellent job. That said, Manuel Antonio is extremely hot and humid, and while the bedrooms have AC, the main living spaces do not, so we needed to be outdoors for all eating and socializing which was very warm and with many bugs. The home is not walkable for most people with the narrow, steep and busy roads. We had some maintenance and communication issues, Overall, the wildlife, jungle setting, beautiful views and time spent with friends was great.

The place was exactly like the photos and had lots of great features. Family loved the pool, tv room downstairs, upstairs outdoor patio and the pool table! I will say the place does feel like a true nature experience! lol Only the bedrooms have ac which is something to note. The maid was really awesome and was definitely not expecting such great hospitality from her. She cleaned and reset the house every day of our stay which was really awesome after long days of tours/excursions! She even washed our clothes and really made us feel welcome. I would give her 1000 stars if I could!! Susan was great and very helpful with information, recommendations and she even helped us find last minute transportation for a tour! This place and town was great my family had a lovely time here
