We loved our stay in this peaceful and beautiful getaway. The view from the back terrace is spectacular. We also saw many birds and butterflies. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking. The drive up the hill is adventurous; we made it with our sedan but recommend an SUV. Hugo and Dinia were wonderful hosts who made us feel right at home. Excellent communication throughout our stay.

If you want a real tico experience, I highly recommend this Airbnb. Our first day the house was bombarded by a flock of Tucans for about twenty minutes. They flew around the house feeding on the birds of paradise flowers while we watched in awe. The location is private and peaceful with an amazing view. The property has a garden and fruit trees that we used everyday for our meals. Hugo was a very helpful host always avialable if we needed anything. Pura Vida!

We love staying at Bromelia House. Wake up to incredible views, birds, and beautifully maintained grounds in a peaceful community. This is a great location for access to La Fortuna or Ciudad Quesada. Access to the Children’s Eternal Rainforest is within walking distance and there is world class bird watching opportunity from the comfort of the back deck or easy walks around the mountain. Hugo and Dinia are the most considerate hosts we’ve ever stayed with and we look forward to returning again next year.

The gem of this stay is definitely the outdoor area. Absolutely gorgeous landscaping, water features, and views. The host was extremely responsive and accommodating. He added warm welcoming touches for our arrival. The kitchen was well-stocked. We had a bit of trouble cooking with a couple warped pans, but this kind of thing is common to many Airbnb's. Conversations in the main living areas can be heard from the master bedroom with the door closed (just a heads up). Overall, we were impressed with the host's flexibility and special attention to detail. This Airbnb is extremely private and perfect for those seeking beautifully-designed gardens.

Hugo and Dinia have built a beautiful home! It is so comfortable and the kitchen is completely stocked with appliances and utensils. The view from the deck looking onto the lowlands and beyond to Platanar Volcano is spectacular! At sunrise the birds are waking and singing. As an avid birder, Bromelia House and surrounding trails have excellent birding! Victoria, the resident sloth, is frequently seen in a cecropia tree near the house. Bromelia House is perfect in every way!
