Location and Nearby Activities
Casa Linda is situated practically on the beachfront, offering easy access to several calm and beautiful beaches:
- Majagual Beach: A peaceful spot perfect for relaxing, swimming, and enjoying stunning sunsets. El Ranchito restaurant is located here.
- Maderas Beach (North Part): A quieter, steeper beach ideal for swimming when waves are small. Juanita’s Kitchen restaurant is nearby.
- Maderas Beach (South Part): About a 10-minute walk down the beach past the rocks, this area is popular for surfing, bars, and restaurants.
Surfing
- The southern end of Playa Maderas is a great surfing spot.
- Day trips to Playa Hermosa or Playa Remanso, south of San Juan del Sur, offer additional surf schools.
- Recommended surf school: Rebelde Surf School at Playa Maderas.
- Longer drives can take you to Playa Yanqui, Popoyo, and Gigante for more surfing options.
Wildlife
The area is rich in wildlife both day and night. You may hear monkeys howling or, if you stay up late, spot sea turtles coming ashore to lay eggs.
Outdoor Activities
- Walking and hiking around local roads and beaches
- Horseback riding on the beach and through nearby forests (organized by Herly)
- Boat, sailing, and fishing trips available through services in San Juan del Sur
Family Amenities
For families seeking a pool, “Tree Casa” is about a 15-minute drive away and offers a pool and restaurant.
Day Trips and Exploration
Within 1 to 3 days, you can explore nearby destinations such as San Juan del Sur, Rivas, Popoyo, Ometepe, Granada, Laguna de Apoyo, and El Mirador de Catarina.
Included with Your Stay
- Delicious breakfast available just a one-minute walk away at Juanita’s Kitchen, located right on the beach
- Note: Breakfast is not included for long-term stays of seven days or more

Additional Information

Beautiful location, just a short walk from 2 idyllic, uncrowded beaches. The host was very available and arranged a tour for us that met our wishes.

Perfect stay in the middle of nature with our two little children. We had enough privacy but still some friendly and welcoming neighbors. Daniel was very helpful, the food at J’s Kitchen war delicious (!!) and the basically empty, long and white beach a dream. We even saw monkeys in the trees in front of our house as well as several baby turtle releases. The house was in the shade of trees, the hammocks were very chill and it had everything we needed. Recommended :)

Very well located accommodation when you want more tranquility without being too far from San Juan. The restaurant on the beach is a big advantage, we loved it.
