Perched above the ocean, this Airbnb felt like something out of a dream. From the moment we arrived, the views completely stole the show—endless blue water, lush jungle, and the kind of sunsets that don’t even look real. The space itself was just as impressive. Thoughtfully designed, open and airy, it perfectly blended indoor and outdoor living. Waking up to the sound of waves and enjoying coffee while watching the ocean each morning quickly became my favorite routine. Every detail felt intentional, from the comfortable furnishings to the seamless connection with nature all around. The breakfast each morning was incredible—fresh, delicious, and something we genuinely looked forward to. We were also traveling with our 20-month-old, and the hosts went above and beyond to make it an amazing experience for her. They provided toys and everything she could possibly need, which made traveling so much easier for us. She absolutely loved exploring the space and the surroundings.

We had a wonderful stay at Shelter from the Storm Villas and truly didn’t want to leave. The villa itself was absolutely beautiful — spotless, thoughtfully designed, and even more spacious than it appears in the photos. There was plenty of room to relax and spread out, and everything felt both luxurious and comfortable at the same time. The breakfasts each morning were such a highlight — fresh, delicious, and clearly prepared with care. We really appreciated all the thoughtful touches throughout our stay, from the small details in the room to the overall warmth and hospitality. It’s clear a lot of love goes into the guest experience here. We would absolutely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, special getaway.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay with Pascal and Virginie — they were incredible hosts. The property is stunning with amazing attention to detail and style. It was like a tiny private resort. The shared pool and bar area are gorgeous, and the personal infinity pool was a huge highlight for our kids. The daily cleaner who refreshed towels and made beds kept the stay feeling easy. We also really appreciated the thoughtful local recommendations, which helped us explore in a way we never would’ve managed on our own. In addition we had multiple sloth and toucan sightings on the property ! We were lucky enough to celebrate Thanksgiving there with a local chef and a few other families, and it turned out to be an unforgettable evening. Everything about our stay felt warm, relaxed, and memorable. We’d love to return.

Our stay was amazing! Pascal and Virginie are so sweet, kind, and caring. Where do I even start! The drive to the Airbnb from San Jose is about 4 hours long and once you get to the road that leads to the Airbnb make sure you have a 4x4 vehicle or you are NOT making it as the roads are very steep, muddy, and rocky but of course the hosts let you know of this in advance. Once you arrive you will be greeted by the most adorable and friendly doggies (about 7 haha), one cat, and they even have a neighborhood sloth that hangs out in the tree next to their house that they will show you. The place looks EXACTLY like it does in the photos and the view is absolutely breathtaking! There is a private water fall with about 300 steps to get there (I’m not kidding haha) but once you get there it is amazing and so worth it although you won’t think so on the way back up. The ONLY con is the water pressure is absolutely horrible and trying to get the sand off was impossible. But we will be back! 😁

This tropical bohemian-modern home in Dominicalito was pure magic. The ocean view from the terrace is absolutely stunning — the perfect place to unwind and watch the waves roll in. The home itself is beautifully designed, with a relaxed, artistic vibe and all the modern comforts you could ask for. One of our favorite parts of the trip was the nearby waterfall hike — adventurous, refreshing, and surrounded by lush jungle. The koi ponds and gardens on the property are truly unique and so peaceful to walk through — it felt like a hidden sanctuary. The hosts were wonderful — thoughtful, responsive, and made everything easy. If you're looking for a stylish, nature-filled getaway with incredible views and a touch of adventure, this is the place. We can't wait to come back!

Exceptionnel! Une villa et un environnement splendides, en face de l’océan. Des prestations haut de gamme, une décoration design harmonieuse et un espace commun piscine /cuisine-terrasse très agréables. Merci à Pascal et Virginie pour leur très sympathique accueil, la visite privée de leur propriété et l’accès à tout leur domaine, y compris le mirador et la superbe cascade privée. Tout le monde a bien profité de cette parenthèse enchantée 🤩
