Overall we had a good trip. The biggest issue we had was with the big gaps in the living room windows. Bugs, geckos and lizards kept coming in. We were constantly finding poop everywhere and at night constantly getting bitten. Manual Antonio is not very walk friendly but we were close to many restaurants and Ubers are cheap.

This is our second stay at Castillo de Amber. I stayed in the 1br unit 4 years ago and now with a bigger family I upgraded to the larger unit. The 2br unit has ample space and spectacular views. Honestly my only complaint is the king size bed is not very comfortable. The mattress could probably use an upgrade. Regardless we would stay again 100%

We've spent about 6 weeks across two trips to MA/Quepos and would argue that Calle Mariposa or Pacific Canyon drive are the best locations that combine great views, beach proximity, and walkability to shops, bars, and restaurants. Castillo de Amber is about a 2-3 min walk from the main road through MA so you get that awesome combo of ocean & jungle views while still close to everything. The house itself is really pretty and El Congo is the top floor so accessible from street level. The pool is a few flights down and very clean. There is a really cool covered kitchen area downstairs with BBQ utensils, a big cooler if you want to bring drinks, and the BBQ itself was pristine. El Congo is quite spacious and has spectacular views from the main kitchen/dining room, upstairs loft, and master bedroom. Kitchen is really well equipped so easy to cook and enjoy the view while eating at home. AC in the bedrooms was perfect but unit in central area was wonky. Would still stay here again though!

Great place. Walkable to restaurants and shops. Short drive to the park or Quepos for groceries. Kitchen included all essentials and plastic food storage which is always appreciated. We grilled out one night while the kids enjoyed the pool.

We had a wonderful 10 day stay at El Congo (Feb. 22 to March 4). It is a gorgeous, very spacious condo, easily accommodating the four of us (grandparents, parent and grandchild). Stunning ocean views from both balconies and every window. Bathrooms very clean. Kitchen was extremely well equipped - best equipped Airbnb kitchen we have ever had. Broken toaster oven was promptly fixed. Communication with Kent (property manager) was very prompt. Texting with the concierge (Vanessa) was prompt and friendly. Vanessa met us upon check-in and visited once to make sure all was good. We saw Jasmin (housekeeper) daily. She was great. Loads of restaurants in the area (our favourite, Agua Azul) and things to do (Ziplining, Manuel Antonio National Park, catamaran ride, etc. Our grandson's favourite activity was the lovely onsite pool with awesome ocean views. The four condos share this pool but we usually had it to ourselves. Overall an awesome stay. Thank you..

Apartment with amazing views! Couldn't ask for anything better! Walkable to restaurants and stores. Nice private pool. Quick cab drive (or 15-20 min walk) to the beaches. Great stay!
