Centrally located and highly walkable, the house sits atop a hill, offering views that rival many rooftop spots—but be ready for the uphill walk back. Arriving can be tricky due to tight streets and limited parking, so we circled a few times before unloading our van. Luis was responsive and clear with instructions, and his house manager Elvia, who speaks only Spanish, was attentive and cooked a wonderful breakfast. The home itself is enormous—photos don’t do it justice. Six of us spread across four rooms felt worlds apart, thanks to the expansive courtyard and terraces. As a former priest’s residence, it has some religious relics that add a quirky touch and sometimes spooky vibe. Overall, a unique, comfortable stay.

This was our second trip to this villa and it was even more enjoyable this time (we knew our way around, had our favorite restaurants, and stayed 2 weeks this time!). Once again we booked another 2 weeks (for October) before we left. Everything is even better than the photos and description. It’s perfect. And we highly recommend asking Elvia to cook breakfast for you. It’s the highlight of our trip every time

Lots of space and great location although as others have said, there is a lot of traffic noise. Elvia and Petra were very gracious, cooking delicious breakfasts for us and doing our laundry. (Breakfasts averaged about 150 pesos per person). Two bedrooms are large, lovely and only up one flight of stairs. Top bedroom has beautiful view but up an additional winding staircase. Bottom bedroom on the ground floor with twin beds is easily accessible but small and dark. Grounds are lovely and well maintained.

A beautiful home, filled with equally wonderful art and history. Very close to the Centro and walkable, with 4 diverse and unique bedrooms, all on different levels, some with Salas, others with their own terraces and wonderful views. Elvia and Petra were lovely to work with, preparing unique breakfasts as needed and keeping the house spotless, while Jorge kept the grounds beautiful. Though we had been given to believe that there was not a shopping service for the house, Elvia, with our funding, provided the food needed for the various delicious breakfasts, and was willing to improvise in terms of what to serve, since there is not a menu per se. A bit chilly, with no heat in most of the rooms, but we warmed quickly when we stepped outside into the warm January sun. The house sits at a busy intersection, which has its upside in easy access to buses and taxis, as well as offering a true sense for City life. It felt like a privilege to be able to call this historic hacienda home!

Overall, a house with an excellent location, close to many places of interest, an excellent place to rest, a little difficult to carry the luggage upstairs but nothing out of this world, the host Luis, always attentive and friendly, Mrs. Elvia who attended to us in the mornings was always attentive and friendly.

The house is absolutely beautiful. The space is perfect for our large family of nine people as it allowed us to spread out and have some privacy. The courtyard was perfect. The only thing I would know is that it could be quite noisy as it’s right on a busy street and the upper king bedroom is not good for older people with mobility issues. The host was always responsive. Elvia, the house manager, was very helpful and cooked a delicious breakfast for us every morning (we paid extra for this).

Magical stay in a beautiful home in a picturesque city. Could not ask for more, especially considering the fantastic staff who cooked for us and made the home spotless every day. Before we left we booked another two-week stay in February!

A fantastic AirBNB. What an incredible view of the town, and just a few blocks from main square. Linens and towels changed every day. The house manager, Elvis, was amazing with home cooked breakfasts as an option (She only speaks Spanish). We loved the charm of this villa and would definitely come back. Perfect for 3 couples or a couple of families.
