Our goal is to deliver a hotel-quality experience within the privacy of a home. We provide daily housekeeping services tailored to your group’s schedule. Additional housekeeping or breakfast preparation can be arranged in advance.

Transportation to and from Liberia International Airport, San Jose International Airport, or rental car bookings can also be organized. We are available 24/7 for assistance.

Hacienda Pinilla Beach Club

Situated on the shores of Playa Avellanas, the Beach Club features an infinity pool overlooking the renowned surf break known as Little Hawaii. Guests can enjoy:

The 4,500-acre ranch includes three miles of coastline with numerous spots to explore:

• Playa Mansita and Playa Bonita, home to the JW Marriott hotel, offer excellent beachcombing and tide pool exploration at low tide
• Playa Langosta provides world-class surfing, beach, and river fishing, with shaded palapas perfect for relaxing
• Playa Avellanas hosts the Hacienda Pinilla Beach Club and six renowned surf breaks, including Little Hawaii, the Estero, Dead Tree, and Lolas

JW Marriott Hotel

Guests have access to several restaurants within the JW Marriott hotel located in Hacienda Pinilla. Day passes are available for purchase, granting access to the hotel’s pool—the largest in Central America—and all hotel amenities.

Golf Course

An 18-hole, par-72 beachfront golf course is available, featuring a stunning sunset view from the secluded beachfront hole.

Tennis Courts

There are three hard-court tennis courts with an onsite instructor offering private, semi-private, and group lessons. Regular kids’ camps and pickleball events are also held.

Horse Stables

Exploring the ranch on horseback is a unique experience. Customized tours range from 30 minutes to 2 hours, taking you through forests and along secluded beaches.

Mountain Bike Trails

With over 45 kilometers of trails winding through the ranch, forest, and coastline, Hacienda Pinilla is ideal for mountain biking. Trails suit all skill levels, from beginners to experts.

Surfing

Hacienda Pinilla is one of Costa Rica’s top surf destinations. It offers six waves at Playa Avellanas and private access to Playa Langosta’s beach breaks. Nearby spots include Playa Negra reef breaks (10 minutes south) and Tamarindo’s river mouth and beach breaks (10 minutes north).

Rates and Guest Policy

Rates are based on up to 8 guests. Additional fees apply for each guest beyond the eighth, up to the property’s maximum occupancy. Please include the total number of guests when booking to receive an accurate quote.

Villa OSU Services

Daily housekeeping ensures a comfortable and stress-free stay, with cleaning provided Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Additional housekeeping or breakfast preparation can be arranged for $50 per day.

The beach club membership includes access to chairs, umbrellas, and a gym for a perfect beach day.

Our concierge team offers local expertise for arranging in-house catering, sunset cruises, adventure tours, and tips on secluded beaches.

Transportation services to and from Liberia International Airport, San Jose International Airport, or rental car bookings are available. We provide 24/7 support.

Community Rules

Villa OSU is located in a private, gated community primarily inhabited by full-time residents and families. A strict noise curfew is enforced from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. This home is not suitable for parties or large events. Guests planning to host noisy gatherings should consider other properties, as violations may result in eviction without a refund.
