4BR Villa in Sayulita

Chris

Excellent, 1 month ago

The home was beautiful, the pool was refreshing and it accommodated our family of 6 very comfortably. Ceci & house manager were super responsive and very helpful with all things. The ease of having the golf carts on site was amazing! The kitchen and bathrooms were fully stocked with everything you need. We were very happy with our stay! Sayulita is such a cool town, we can't wait to come back!

We had a wonderful stay! The house is beautiful, the pool is gorgeous, and everything was incredibly clean and well maintained. The host was also super communicative and made the entire experience seamless from booking through check-out. The only thing worth noting is the location. It’s technically walkable to downtown Sayulita (about a 20-minute walk), and we did it for the first couple of days. However, especially in the heat, we ended up taking taxis most of the time because the walk started to feel a bit long. Just something to keep in mind if you plan on going back and forth to town frequently. Overall, we loved our stay and would absolutely recommend this place!

Our stay as a family of 7 (all adults) was wonderful! The house itself is stunning- modern, bright, clean, and comfortable. It’s located enough out of the heart of town (on the north end) that it’s quiet but close enough that it’s easily walkable to the beach, restaurants, and the center of town. The pool and outdoor area was great, although shaded for the most part. We opted to rent a golf cart, which everyone found nice to have. Ceci and her local assistant were readily available and helpful throughout the process. We’d love to stay again!

We have stayed in Sayulita several times. This house could be amazing but fell short in a few ways. The driveway is in need of repair and pulling the golf cart in and out is unsafe. We also ran out of water and went almost 24 hours without it. Ceci was apologetic but did not offer any compensation. After spending $7000 to stay here I think she should have done more (we couldn’t shower or flush the toilets during that time). We didn’t have hot water for the majority of our stay. The house offers no washer and dryer or spare linens at all. Every closet is locked and so if you need a washcloth, extra linens or anything you have to ask. The house is not suitable for anyone who has trouble with stairs. We brought my mother in law and it was a challenge for her. I asked Ceci about the downstairs bedroom explaining the situation before I booked. She neglected to mention that there are many concrete stairs with no railings. Wouldn’t recommend for anyone with mobility issues

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Luuna for our girls trip. The house was just as pictured. Ceci and her management team were extremely responsive and available when needed. The location is excellent - an easy walk or golf cart into town. The only thing I would add is the road in front of the home is extremely uneven and rocky, which can make maneuvering the golf cart somewhat difficult. With that said, I would definitely stay here again.

This home in Sayulita is beautiful. Good sized bedrooms, cool concrete design and a beautiful pool/cabana. In a great location close to town but not right on top of all the loudness. Looks out over jungle and close to the beach for sunset. The only downside is that we felt a little nickel and dimed and it brought down our experience slightly. We wanted to check in an 1-2 hours earlier and she wanted to charge us by the hour to check-in earlier even though the airbnb was ready/free. Then, we rented the golf cart from her and the house manager said we could keep it through the morning of our departure despite it being 5-10 hours after the golf cart rental we paid for. The house manager came back saying the owner would not allow that. It was frustrating for this to change mid-trip so we had to pay a bit more to keep it for dinner that night. All of this is fair and their right to charge what they want, but it just was annoying to deal with.

This place was absolutely stunning. it is very spacious, beautiful, well stocked, AC works amazing. Location is perfection. close to everything, but not too close that its loud. communication was also very good. We absolutely love it. get the gold carts , so easy to get around town.. negatives- I would not recommend if anyone has issues w stairs. not an issue w our group, but lots of stairs. I wish there was Laundry there. but all well worth it. I would absolutely go back! loved it!

We loved the house. Very clean and best decor. Better than the pictures!!!!!!! This was our third family trip to Sayulita and this was our favorite house. They delivered the golf carts which made it easy. Thanks again -can’t wait to come back.

Ceci's fantastic and communicated regularly with great recommendations for Sayulita. The house was in great condition and had awesome amenities at our disposal. What we loved: - Great location and house well maintained - Awesome host and on-the-ground support - Very nice amenities and features - Very homely and great touches The only thing we noted extra is the road leading up the road is a bit of an incline and unpaved, but not a deal breaker Would highly recommend and will come back soon

Wow, wow, wow! This stay was absolutely fantastic, I want to give it 10 stars out of 5. Walkable to everything in Sayulita but tucked just far enough on the north side that it feels worlds away from the madness of downtown. Fantastic yoga, fantastic food, fantastic beach, and staying in Cecilia’s place was the cherry on top. I felt so elegant swimming in the pool under the stars, what a treat this was. Cecilia was so helpful and welcomed me with everything I could need and more. If I could stay forever I would.

We had a great stay at Casa Luuma - house is clean, beautiful and spacious - we made great use of the pool toys, beach umbrella and towels. My daughter had a bad experience a year ago with the food in Sayulita so she wanted to cook for herself daily and the kitchen at casa Luuma was perfect for that. Plenty of amenities + pots/pans/dishes/utensils etc.. Ceci was very communicative as well as her assistant Monse. Monse assisted us with a golf cart rental which is super helpful to have being that the house is uphill and it can get quite dark at night. Overall we had a great, relaxing time in Sayulita and Casa Luuma :)

Overall would generally recommend this place with a few call outs to future guests. The pros - the layout was great, we loved the pool/ jungle views, location was awesome to walk to everything but still feel slightly removed from the hustle and bustle. The decor is lovely and Cecilia was helpful with local recommendations. The top floor bedroom and deck was great and the ac was needed and worked great. As for cons, we noticed fruit flys everywhere in the kitchen, leaky kitchen, limited towels for bathroom, no hair dryers, one bedroom was just a sheet, no extra pillows, we found a few small scorpions in two of the bedrooms, the neighbors smoke and bottom bedroom reeked of smoke, and we had a water outage for 24 hours which was told this happens on busy times which was unfortunate damper during our stay. Overall if you are looking for a more basic stay this will work. My group of 40 ish year old women agreed this did not meet our expectations.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Ceci's lovely home. It is as beautiful, if not more so, than the photos on the listing. We traveled with our 17-month old, and while it is the type of space that requires young children to be supervised 24/7, the floors and rooms are laid out so wonderfully that doing so felt very comfortable, particularly the kitchen/living room, patio and pool area. The beds are very comfortable. The house is located in a peaceful part of Sayulita that is very walkable (minutes to the beach, and a bit longer to the heart of town). Ceci offers a golf cart but we found we didn't need it and could get to most places on foot. Ceci herself was very responsive and kind.

Casa Luuma is a beautiful and modern home in the jungle that made our vacation fantastic and met all of our needs. We needed a lot of difference spaces: an office, a bedroom for our baby, a room for our nanny and communal space for us all to be and play. Casa Luuma had those things and more. We loved the pool the most and spent much of our time out on the pool and deck. Sitting next to the pool on the couch and watching the birds was one of the big highlights of our entire trip. The lot across the street is just wild jungle and I hope it stays that way. As far as critters go - the house really didn't have huge issues. There were a few geckos (which we loved) inside and a few bugs but nothing scary (no scorpions). We did have a few issues (faucets weren't working and the power went out for a few hours) but Cecilia and her manager Monse were super responsive and kind about everything. The cleaning every 2-3 days was amazing and much needed as the floors get dirty easily.
