Coexistence and privacy is what sums up our experience, the treatment was very friendly from Reginaldo and Beatriz. The location of the house is very close to the beach. At night you could only hear the waves of the sea. The private rooms with bathrooms allowed privacy while the common areas allowed coexistence.

The accommodation is very spacious and tidy, ideal for large groups. The house is very clean, the pool is large and Reginald is always attentive to help you and give you good recommendations. Although the beach is not literally in front of the house because you have to cross the street... it is excellent, very calm waves and with soft sand, we really enjoyed our stay here.

It was a pleasant stay, the house has beach items that make the stay very comfortable, umbrellas, chairs, surfboards, etc. The host is very attentive, the villa is shared with them. The only 2 drawbacks are that the kitchen is very hot and the climb to the house is steep and can be difficult. Other than that, the house was great

Casa Tortuga was simply a beautiful place! Very peaceful as you can hear the wave all day long. Reggie was a very gracious host and we felt at home right away. The house is perfectly located if you are looking for a peaceful place to relax and enjoy the view and the sound of the ocean. Would definitely go back in a second.

Reginald took great care of us at Casa Tortuga. This is my second time going, and was not disappointed with the beach or pool or beautiful greenery. The family dog Shadow being there was also a nice treat. Reginald chatted with us everyday and gave us a lot of great recommendations and helped us coordinate car rides to/from the house - something that would have been very difficult on our own. 5 stars, would go again!

Reggie accommodated our large group on less than a days notice due to Hurricane Lidia damaging our other rental. Words don’t do the place justice. Great patios, great pool and a short walk down the hill to the beach. If you’re at the beach in the evening at the right time of year, a local conservation group comes by and releases sea turtles into the ocean. Casa Tortuga was great!

Our two families of four adults and five kids had a fabulous week-long stay. It was great having access to so many bedrooms for our group, especially since each had it's own bathroom attached. We really enjoyed our time around the pool, playing pool and shuffleboard, and the easy 2minute walk to the beach. Reggie provided plenty of boogie boards, beach towels, umbrellas and coolers for our use. The beach is beautiful, and we had it almost to ourselves, even over spring break. Due to the somewhat remote location, our stay felt very quiet, private and safe. The only downside is that there is not really anything in walking distance and you have about a 30 min drive to get to a grocery store or town of any size. The location was great, however, as a jumping off point to explore PV, Bucerias, San Pancho, and Sayulita. Finally, Reggie's communication was excellent. He responded quickly to any questions we had and gave us plenty of recommendations for the area. Overall, a great stay

Casa Tortuga is lovely! Having a bathroom in each room/suite with air conditioning was key. The house had plenty of lounge space, all open air so you can hear the ocean! The views from the top floor were amazing and the pool is private surrounded by lush greenery! The place overall was very quiet and an easy walk down the hill to the beach. We took advantage of the personal chefs and they were top notch! The food was fresh with a variety of options. They were very considerate of food allergies and flexible with timing and the menu. This place is perfect for groups and I can't wait to stay here again!

Beautiful home, the place looked just like the pictures. Truly in awe of how everything was laid out. Feels like you have your own private beach. We tried to spend as much time at the house as possible because it has everything you need to get a cultural hacienda style experience, with many things to do around the house. Highly recommend staying here, especially for large groups and families. The place is 3 floors, we were all amazed. Thank you for hosting us Reginald, we will be back in the future.

Our group had one of the most amazing trips of our lives at Casa Tortuga. The house is classic and clean. There are all sorts of cool parts of the house to hang out in. The pool was great and dining room area spacious. We had a team over one night who prepared an amazing meal! Ocean was clean and delicious. Love the off the beaten path feel that is a bit harder to find in the bay now. I could see our group returning here every couple of years. Thank you to an amazing host, he was very helpful/easy-going and helped create lasting memories for a lot of people!

A little off the beaten track, but worth every bump and pothole. Amazing surroundings, beautiful beach with nobody trying to sell you anything, and a perfect pool to come back to. Reggy's is a great host, full of information and every recommendation was right on. We had a family reunion consisting of 15 people and there was plenty of room for all of us.

Our group of 22 people (10 adults, 12 children) had an amazing time at Casa Tortuga, Litibu! The house is spacious, comfortable, and a short walk down the hill to an amazing private beach. The beach felt safe for our children, as well as exciting for the older kids and adults. Higuera Blanca has some great food and if you want more crowds Sayulita is about 15-20 minutes away. Check out San Pancho too, it’s a great town! The host, Reggie, is wonderful and welcoming and has so much valuable information about the area. He is helpful and will arrange excursions, massages, etc. The housekeeper, Anna, is also wonderful. Overall, we had a great experience. Highly recommend.

Great stay at an Amazing oceanView home, near wild Jungle like experience. Close to several towns just driving distance away. Access to beach is unbeatable. Attention to detail throughout entire property from artwork throughout the home and the tropical feel you experience from the trees and plants landscaped throughout the property. Extra clean throughout! If looking for a getaway with some adventure and tranquility from all the noise. This is the place.

This is a great value. It’s casual, clean, roomy and just a short walk to the beach. Reggie (the owner) and Shadow (a sweet German Shepard) live on the ground floor. Reggie is friendly, accommodating and a great resource for fun places to explore. He goes above and beyond to make your vacation a good one. Our group wants to stay here again.

Great big house. The beach is a few steps from the house 3 min walk. If you don’t plan to leave the house be sure to buy groceries and any other needs prior. If not a car is definitely needed as it is located deep in the town and the road is a bit tricky. Other than that everything really nice. Really well equipped. Reggie is amazing and very helpful.

Unbelievable home in a perfect, private and quiet location. Off the beaten tourist path for sure. House has everything, very spacious, beautiful view. Beach is ideal for relaxing, swimming, boogie boarding. Reggie is the best host you could ask for with amazing local tips and tricks. We stayed with 2 families of 5, including 6 kids under 13.

Wonderful hacienda-style house with 5 rooms that open to a huge balcony that overlooks the ocean. Well-appointed, large kitchen with huge gas oven/stove/griddle. Firm mattresses. Lots of games to play at the house, and everything you could need for the beach. Housekeeper that comes during the weekdays. We had a great stay with kids 2, 3 and 7. Highly recommend staying here!

Epic house overlooking beach + palm trees. Reggie was a welcoming, knowledgeable host. The house chefs out did themselves with every meal - highly recommend having them cook every lunch and dinner! the 5 en-suite bedrooms allowed for the best trip imaginable for our group of 14 people and we didnt even use the bedrooms on the top floor! While we did go to nearby Punta Mita and Sayulita - Casa Tortuga's beach, pool, chefs, massages, and hacienda vibe combined to create a place we never wanted to leave.

We stayed for a weekend everything was great, but we felt like we had no privacy since the owners are on the premises all the time and randomly are in "our" space. Some of the ladies felt. Uncomfortable. I would suggest the description mentions this.
Host Response
Robert you were aware that I stay at the property we work with with the staff to keep the place in order when you decide to have a live band and come into play at the property and have a party until 2:30 in the morning that is something that future Airbnb hosts should aware of that your a big party group we let you have your party but at 2:30 in the morning it is very disrespectful to our neighbors who live in the area we were unaware that you were going to have a live band until 2:30 AM this is a quite peaceful place and we do our best to accommodate all our guests needs and privacy but thanks for your input am sure that future host would approve of 2:30 live bands

The house is close to the beach, and the beach is a very quiet place with very few people. For this COVID season, it's ideal to be away. The food service from Chef Jovanny is highly recommended. He prepared everything we asked for and even had the thoughtfulness of giving us bread that he had just made. If you need someone to help you in the kitchen, don't hesitate to hire him. There are no stores of any kind near the house, and he helped us bring some things that we forgot, but it is important that you bring all your groceries or hire a food service. I would recommend changing or adding more kitchen utensils because they are already a bit old. The house is very comfortable. It has 5 bedrooms with 2 double beds and some even have 1 more single bed. All have a fan and A/C that worked perfectly, and a private bathroom. The only issue is that in 3 rooms, the water takes a long time to come out hot, or it doesn't come out, or it doesn't last long (I think there's a different system for those rooms). The pool was cold for my taste (it's not heated), but it's also true that the hot season is just beginning. It's a very good size, always crystal clear, and it has lounge chairs and tables. They have a bar area and a pool table where you can be very comfortable. Reginald lends you umbrellas, boards, and towels for the pool and beach, and that helps a lot because you don't have to bring them from where you live. The cleaning girl is very attentive and helpful. It is important to know that to get to the house you have to go up a very steep street (when you go to and from the beach) One of the best things is Shadow, Reginald's dog, who is very playful and obedient. Bring a lot of repellent because there are mosquitoes We really enjoyed our stay.

Our family couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing and beautiful retreat! Reggie (the host) was full of great travel and adventure recommendations. Casa Tortuga is a well designed place. The classic open air design allows you to experience the breathtaking views, cool fresh breeze, and the soothing g sounds of the pristine ocean waves. The rooms are very private with their own bathroom. Each room has screened windows that allowed us to open them to have the fresh air blow in and when closed, the wonderful cool AC. The kitchen is well equipped for personal use, however, we took advantage of hiring professional Chef Eli for our entire time at Casa Tortuga. He made fresh seafood, authentic Mexican cuisine with his specialty salsas. We travelled with 4 kids, including 2 toddler twins and Chef Eli accommodated to their needs and was very thoughtful in providing delicious surprises for our kids. The host, Reggie, was phenomenal! He lives on site with his family, and he checked in with us to make sure we were ok and answered any questions we had. He was always full of restaurant and activity suggestions. His very well trained dog, Shadow, was a joy to have and welcomed our kids every morning and evening. The area is very secluded and peaceful. We were SO happy to be away from the bustling and craziness of Puerto Vallarta. The beach is almost secluded and literally about 100 yards away! We saw a few people during our entire stay and were not surrounded by peddlers or other tourists. We ALWAYS felt safe! If you are looking for a time to escape the business of life and want to recharge, this is your place. It was a wonderful place for our kids (ages 8, 5, and 2 ‘twins’). Casa Tortuga can be a place for family vacation, romantic getaway, Business (team building, brainstorming, conference), or a family reunion. Thank you Reggie for a wonderful time and we already miss our time at Casa Tortuga and the Twins keep asking for Shadow! Hopefully see you again soon!

Huge house, with the beach just at the end of the driveway! The pool is shaded, so you can spend the entire day there, like we did... Reggie was awesome, very responsive in advance of the stay, and had awesome suggestions throughout the trip. We took his advice and had Chef Ely come cook a few meals, which was amazing, because there were plenty of leftovers for other meals. The house is about 15-20 to Sayulita as well as Punta Mita, easy day trips. Great, relaxing, family vacation, one of the best we’ve had in years

Casa Tortuga is awesome. It’s a little off the beaten path, but you get an amazing quality of housing. So much space for our group of 20 and never felt like we were stepping on each other’s toes. Reggie helped us get surfboards for the beach, he gave us great recommendations for places near to there, and even had a maid service there that did our towels and bedsheets etc which was a nice surprise. I would recommend at least one car rental for your group if you go to stay there as the large grocery stores are pretty far away, and transportation, especially for large groups, can get pretty expensive. Other than that, I don’t have a bad word to say about this place. The beach is a stones throw from the house, literally. The beach is basically private, there was nearly no one on the beach besides our group. The pool is stunning and shaded so it gives a nice break from the scorching sun on the beach. There are absolutely gorgeous views of the sunset from the top floor of the casa, and with all the lights off late at night you can see all the stars in the sky. Some people in our group fell ill from food related issues in sayulita, but that was not due to any error from Reggie or the Casa Tortuga staff in any way. Since so many were sick he helped us get the medications we needed, as well as allowing for a late checkout for some of our ill guests. He was very sweet and hospitable. Couldn’t recommend Casa Tortuga Litibu or Reggie enough.

The place is awsome! 5 rooms on the second floor, enough for 14-17 people, a clean and beautiful pool downstairs where you can make a barbecue and on the top floor there is an amazing view of the beach and of course the sunset. The beach is just a block of the place and is quiet with no local sellers, so you can relax and have a good time. Be sure to bring your beach umbrellas (there are few palm trees on the beach). About the host Reginald, he was awsome since our arrival. His hospitality was outstanding and he was kind all the time. He offered us to use every single item on the house like if it was ours and he recommended a lot of places to visit. We paid an extra fee for chef services (Eli) and the food was delicious. We are totally coming back in the future.

This was our first time at Casa Tortuga and our entire party, of 16, loved it! The ocean is only a block away and it is quite private. The pool at the house was a nice complement for the little ones as it provided shade and a nice view with palm trees. Reginald was very helpful and kind. He lent us sun umbrellas and Boards to do body surfing, he hooked us up with a wonderful Chef, Eli, and even allowed us to take his dog, shadow, to the beach to hang out with us. (Very friendly german sheppard who loves to play catch). Thank-you Reggie for a memorable vacation at Casa Tortuga!

It's pretty rare to find such a peaceful and secluded beach in this part of Mexico, but we did. Litibu is spectacular with perfect temps, clear water and fun waves to play in. We were a group of 15 with 3 couples and 9 kids between us and were looking for that perfect mix of creature comforts, space and authentic Mexican charm in our accommodations for our vacation. We found it! Reggie's place is spacious and open and has many areas to lounge, play and relax in and is only a very brief couple minute walk to the beach. The house comes with everything you need for a touch of adventure and bonus, a most hospitable host! Reggie and his staff went over and above taking care of us. I highly recommend hiring the amazing Chef Eric who will make you some of the best salsas you've ever had. He is gracious, talented and took the time to make separate meals for some of the kids who have intense food allergies. House is more wonderful than in the pictures and we'd go back in a heartbeat!

Casa Tortuga is a little remote but that was exactly what we were looking for! We wanted to get away from it all for a little R&R. The casa has lots of space to curl up and read your book. Most important it has an excellent beach which is just a few steps away! Even during the holidays we were often the only people around. There are also great places to eat. There is an awesome taco stand at the entrance to Higueria Blanca and a wonderful resteraunt (Litibu Grill) you can walk to on the beach. We could have eaten there every night! There were also other good resteraunts within a short drive. Reg was a gracious host and he checked in on us every day. The air conditioning worked really well (not always available in Mexico). There were 9 of us in our party and everyone felt they had enough space. The fully equipped kitchen allowed us to comfortably prepare nice dinners in as well. In fact we prepared a lovely Christmas dinner! The road getting to Casa Totuga is a little bumpy so make sure you get a good vehicle. We had a couple of jeeps and they worked awesome. We enjoyed our stay!

It's an excellent house, super comfortable and clean, the A/Cs and fans work perfectly, the perfect rooms, with everything you need, and super careful decor. Living areas, a very spacious and fully equipped kitchen, a very pleasant and quiet stay. The best!!!! The beach is much closer than expected... A beautiful beach, without much movement, just for us. A few meters from the house, it was spectacular!!! And the house's terrace!!! An unparalleled view. A privileged place. Reginald is super friendly and attentive to any questions or concerns about the house. Points to consider, the access street to the house, is a cobblestone climb, it is complicated for people with disabilities, carreolas or similar. In the house the owner lives, point to consider for hours in use of the play area.

We loved our stay at Casa Tortuga! Set on a hillside with an amazing view of the ocean and the constant sound of crashing waves. A real gem. It's close to a lot (surf, restaurants and other beaches) but we still felt remote and tucked away. Reggie was super helpful and welcoming. Hes also fun to hang with. We got some good pool games in with him! The hacienda style house is beautiful and very thoughtfully built with a lovely wrap around deck. The communal kitchen was great to have. We'll definitely be back!

We had an awesome stay at the Casa. I was a bit hesitant about booking it, that it may not live up to our expectations, but it was even more beautiful in real life than the photos. The house is actually newly constructed, yet it has a very warm hacienda feel throughout. The rooms were spacious & clean, and the ocean views were stunning. The kitchen, eating & lounging areas are all communal & very socially inspired. Reggie was a fabulous host, he was always around & available for questions, and made sure we had everything we needed. He even hooked us up with boogie boards & beach towels. Would definitely go back!
