Beautiful, peaceful mountain retreat. The architecture is stunning, the surroundings are incredibly tranquil, and it was the perfect place to relax and disconnect. Great breakfast, comfortable rooms, and wonderful hosts. We’d definitely stay again.

This was our second time staying at this wonderful house and it was a great weekend. Luis is a very communicative and helpful host and the house staff are incredible-they are and continue to be the secret sauce that makes every stay here not just great but exceptional. 10/10 recommend.

This place is serene with incredible views of the mountains. The caretakers, Carlos and Angeles, were wonderful and warm. All the breakfasts and the dinner were also superb.

This home is a dream. The design was stunning, the food was some of the best we had in Mexico. The dogs were so sweet and the access to nature was rejuvenating. Carlos and Angeles (the caretakers) were incredibly sweet and accommodating. My family loved being there so much we preferred to just stay home and relax by the pool versus going out to the town. Bring your suit, a book, and a 4 wheel drive vehicle for the dirt roads and you’ll be all set!

Casa Meztitla is the ideal place if you want to go on a quiet vacation, with lots of nature and away from all kinds of pollution. It is in an isolated area, 10 minutes from the town of Tepoztlan, there are few houses around and no shops to walk to. A beautiful view of Tepozteco. The architecture of the house is very nice for the place. Very comfortable beds and very nice dining, living and kitchen spaces. The bonus of the place is Carlos and Angeles. The couple who takes care of the house. Very friendly, they helped us with everything we needed. They called a taxi for us since we went to a wedding and didn't want to drive back. They cooked us delicious breakfasts with many of the products made by them such as delicious jams and a freshly made and warm sourdough bread. And the food we had was also very tasty. We pay for the supplies, but they prepare it for you very homemade and delicious.

We absolutely loved our time at Luis’s home. Carlos and Angeles were so kind and helpful. They helped us navigate to the property and were always there to greet us, even when we got in late after a wedding. The first night we were there they cooked us dinner at the house. They made homemade salsas and tortillas and Luis grilled us meat on a charcoal fire. It was the best meal we had in Tepoztlan. For breakfast they made fresh bread, eggs, yogurt and local honey. They were super thoughtful about every ingredient and made the experience feel truly magical. The house is beyond what is shown in the pictures. It’s an architectural masterpiece and on its own, a one-of-a-kind experience. They whole front of the home is glass windows that can be open so there’s a feeling of being outside at all times. We hung out in the pool and hot tub during the day as well which was so nice and relaxing. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much again to the whole team ❤️

Absolutely terrific house that was designed with care and precision. I would strongly recommend to anyone. The house was completely embedded within the surroundings, perfect kitchen, indoor/outdoor feel, beautiful lap pool under the trees. Truly special location. Even better than the pictures.

The house is spectacular, the staff is super nice and the food they cook is amazing. The rules are clear and simple, very good common areas and super private and quiet bedrooms. One night we had to take a car out very late and we had to wake up the staff to open it since they don't give a key, some way to open and close it more easily would be ideal, just so as not to have to bother. The only thing I would change would be the pillows. It would be perfect if they had good pillows and not foam rubber ones.

Our stay was amazing. So convenient the house’s open spaces for a family or group of friends. Beautifully furnished and plenty of natural light. The location is stunning and what really made the difference were the staff. Thanks to Carlos, Angeles and Kenia for being so attentive and welcoming. The food was delicious. We were lucky enough to find this gem in Teques. The house in charge of Angeles and Carlos is absolutely charming, with a breathtaking view and a cozy atmosphere. But what really made our stay unforgettable was the exceptional treatment we received from our hosts. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel right at home. The breakfasts were spectacular, the food delicious and the conversations divine. Ángeles and Carlos are wonderful people, always ready to help and make us feel comfortable. And we can't forget the dogs in the house, who were our playmates and chill-out buddies. In short, our stay was perfect thanks to the hospitality and affection of Ángeles and Carlos. I wouldn't hesitate to come back and recommend this place to anyone!

This airbnb was magical - gorgeous architecture, set right against the mountain backdrop, and with a huge pool. The housekeepers were so friendly and made us coffee and breakfast every morning and they had 5 adorable dogs that roamed the property. Every single corner of the airbnb was carefully thought out and furnished and was the perfect size for a group of 6. There is also one day of 8 hour meal service included with the stay (you cover groceries), which was perfect for a full day of relaxation by the pool. We were all already coming up with reasons to come back!

This is a spectacular find! The home is stunningly beautiful, and the couple who take care of the property couldn’t be friendlier nor could they cook more delicious meals. A perfect spot for a very relaxing stay. The pool and jacuzzi were a real treat. Also, there are 5 dogs on the property, who live in the caretaker’s house. They’re a great addition to the “vibe” of the place - they’re very sweet and well trained. Luis is a fantastic host, very communicative and helpful. He’s also the architect for the house. Huge kudos to him. Believe me, you’re in for a treat with this place!

Casa Meztitla is quite an experience. The house itself is spectacular, full of tasteful details where you turn, with a privileged location and a solid sustainable conception. The land preserved its wild character; outside some fruit trees, the vegetation is native and its cycles are strictly followed. Ángeles and Carlos are proud to live and work there, and it shows: in their welcome, in their relationship with the dogs, they are of the best of the experience, in their bread, jam and homemade yogurt and in their complicity with the visitors. You can't hear anything but cicadas and birds during the day, and at night, in season, there are fireflies. If you're lucky you can see how the bats in the nearby cave in the Tepozteco come down to drink in a flawlessly maintained pool without chlorine and with the help of solar panels that give it a perfect temperature. A highly recommended experience that we will definitely repeat.

The architecture, the spaces, with all the comforts, but the best of the best was the attention of Angeles and Carlos, including their delicious breakfasts, definitely if he would come back !!

Amazing and beautiful unique stay and experience in Tepoztlán! The architecture of the home is amazing with indoor and outdoor design. Amazing amenities, very clean and comfortable rooms. And the hosts on the peppery were the nicest and welcoming people! Loved the stay and highly recommend!

We had a very nice time in the house, the house is beautiful, the details in the design are incredible, that it is self-sufficient is wonderful. Carlos and Angeles are really very committed to the idea of the house and it does make a difference in the experience, the breakfasts were very good, the bread made by Carlos is delicious. This is one amazing architectural pearl - the perfect place to relax and disconnect. The caretakers, Angeles and Carlos were incredibly helpful and cooked the most spectacular breakfasts for us. The beds are comfortable and it was quiet at night. The rooftop is perfect to watch the sunset view. We really enjoyed the yoga mats as well. The pool was very fresh - and it get cold at night - at least in December when we visited - so pack accordingly. Walk to the village is about 15 minutes. Don't miss the hike to pyramid on top of the mountain. Dogs are sweet and well-training. Highly recommended!

It's a beautiful place, surrounded by nature in an impecable architectural space. It's hard to describe how well balanced this space is between the living spaces and nature. Beautiful, can't wait to go back. It is in Tepoztlán, so every weekend you might find some surrounding parties, but the space is well worth it.

I rented the house for my birthday celebration with friends and family - it was a great experience to spend 2 days in the house - it is super nice with a unique and sustainable design - and it has everything you need! I especially loved the flexibility with check-in and check-out, breakfast in the mornings with fresh products and freshly made bread, the option of having help with the kitchen, and of course the attentions of Angeles, Carlos and Karla who made us feel at home from our arrival. I especially liked using the jacuzzi in the afternoons, and going up to the terrace in the mornings when the sun comes up and to watch the sunset. The dogs are also very nice and very well behaved. I hope to be back soon, I highly recommend the house! Thank you very much for everything!!

The magic of the mountain, the casa, the pool/water, the air + Carlos and Angeles are unmatched. We did not want to leave. The architecture is beautiful & inspiring. The breakfast made every morning is ONE of the best meals of my life. The fresh sourdough unreal. The yogurt, the jam, eggs+ honey=WOW! Dogs are well trained + friendly. 15-20 minutes to town but it’s worth it! C+A arranged a taxi every time + shared so much about the town and people. I have never felt so cared for. It was beyond 5 stars-10 stars-20 stars! Things to know: spiders, caterpillars, buggies + bats are seen around but do not be alarmed, C+A will take care of it. This is the perfect house to rest, disconnect, be in contact with nature and eat very well. The house is beautiful, very tastefully decorated and with a spectacular view. Ángeles and Carlos are very friendly and tremendous cooks. Both the house and its management focus on caring for the environment in a responsible, practical, and useful way. Carlos and Angeles made this dreamy home even dreamier. The natural landscape that surrounds the home is stunning and the town of Tepoztlan is a must if you’re looking to venture out of the city. From the fresh-made daily breakfast to the sustainably-heated pool/hot tub, we could not recommend this place enough. It’s a bit tricky to find, but once you do, a hidden gem awaits.

Our group of 8 with 3 children under 2yo had the most wonderful one week of stay here. Luis was flexible, attentive and accommodating to our needs. The housekeepers, Carlos and his family were warm and extended welcoming and homely hospitality during our stay. The home itself is very well designed and we almost wished we could have a q&a session with Luis to talk about his design concept. The dogs were also friendly - even with the babies. This house is close to the nature with largely untamed ‘garden,’ so guests have to be mindful of insects and pests in the environment- Our group did not mind that at all but in fact embraced it. The place lacks rugs and cushions-so if you are a large group you will have to make do with the sitting arrangement. Lastly, the grandeur of the mountains so close to the home is humbling and the sunset over the mountains from the terrace is beautiful. All in all we had a restive and an inspired trip.

This Airbnb is a work of art with the perfect combination of architecture and nature. Incredible sunset and moonrise view. We did a wonderful sound-healing. Many spaces to accommodate you and have nature around you. Very comfortable beds. The coffee and coffee maker were a success, as was breakfast. We stayed from Friday to Monday and we didn't have enough days to continue enjoying ourselves. It's ideal to have a car, but if not, taxis also come. The housekeepers help you with everything you need. We will definitely be back. If you don't like dogs, it's not a big deal because the 5 that come with the rent are super polite, sometimes they live with you and sometimes you don't even see them. They don't wake you up barking in the mornings at all. On the contrary, you're delighted with them.

Great choice if you are looking for a peaceful, minimalist , comfortable place. The attention of the hosts was formidable. You’ll be in touch with the nature all the time.

This spot is an absolute gem and a must stay for nature lovers! Its tucked away from any city noise and you’re surrounded by nature in every way. (If you’re not a friend to bugs this might not be the place for you, given how open the house is you do see some spiders, ants and occasional beetle around) The kitchen is the best Airbnb kitchen I’ve ever seen, our two chefs on our trip were even impressed, it’s a great place to bring back market finds and cook at home. We loved getting to know Angeles and Carlos, they were the most amazing and attentive hosts during our stay. They made us delicious breakfasts each morning and even had great recommendations for a masseuse to come to the house (poolside massage? Ok!) and a temazcal ceremony with a trusted guide. They made our first trip to tepoztlan unforgettable, we can’t wait to come back! The 5 dogs were an added bonus, we loved having all of them running around!

We absolutely loved staying at Luis’ house and it was one of the most amazing Airbnb’s I’ve stayed at. The location was remote but the design of his building was so airy and unique. We loved staying at the foot of the mountains and having the time to lounge around surrounded by nature. Both Angeles and Carlos were so amazing. My favorite time of the day was the breakfast every day and their cooking talent and hospitality was so accommodating. It was a great stay overall and I would highly recommend!

The house is designed very nicely, and the pool is great. We went on very hot days, but the orientation and layout mean that the air circulates well. Carlos and Ángeles were very nice to us, and the breakfasts were very good. I recommend it, and I would come back with my family and my one-year-old son.

One of the best places i’ve ever stayed. This place is pure magic and we barely left the house. Carlos and his wife are so accommodating with everything you need and the most beautiful breakfast every morning. We spent the nights swimming under the stars and enjoying the peace and quiet from all angles. The views of the mountains are one of a kind.

We really enjoyed staying at this beautiful house for the weekend in Tepoztlan. The kitchen was fully stocked and easy to use to cook all our meals. Additionally, Angeles very thoughtfully prepared the breakfast each morning (thank you!). The open air design was perfect during the day and at night it was easy to close up the house. I recommend brining insect repellent as mosquitos were biting at dusk/night. We also brought a projector to watch movies at night. While the jacuzzi can reach a warm temperature (using solar heating) the lap pool remained cold and we never ended up swimming, however it was still very nice to hang around the pool. Staying at this house was one of my favorite chill/relaxing weekend trips from Mexico City.

Amazing home with such an incredible setting. Nestled right next to the mountains and tucked away in a remote area with plenty of nature, natural light and trees surrounding the house. The hosts were so gracious and told us all about the area, the property, and even made us a delicious, locally sourced breakfast each morning. We took some amazing photos, had such a relaxed time, and we definitely plan on returning!!
