We had an extended stay in Mexico and Playa Del Carmen was the last destination. We had the pleasure of staying in Ernesto’s apartment. The location is great, a quiet, safe neighborhood just far enough away from all the tourist hotels but still only a 6-7 minute walk to 5th Avenue and the beach. Ernesto was extremely responsive during our stay. The amenities are as described, there’s always someone at the reception desk in case you need directions, etc. and there’s even a woman in the building that will launder your clothes if needed, at an incredibly low price. He was very flexible and very easy to deal with. The apartment shows a little wear and tear, but is clean, modern, and the a/c worked great 😊 Considering the price and location I would definitely recommend!

Ernesto is a fantastic host. A hurricane came through 2 days after we checked in and he stayed in constant contact with us. He let us know what the condo administrators were doing to prepare for it, he checked on us to make sure we were ok. I don't know if there is a nicer host out there. I will definitely stay at his condo again.

This was a lovely, last stay in Mexico. The penthouse apartment was very spacious, the location perfect for walking through Playa. Too bad the elevator did not work (over 4 days...) the suitcase provided fitness training. If you don't have enough, you can go to the gym. Pool was like the apartment very clean. Sunbathing with an umbrella or a sun gate would be perfect. But this is more than a suggestion. We liked it very much!

Ernesto was a fantastic host and the condo is beautiful! Communication was established immediately and Ernesto’s instructions were very helpful to make sure we checked in as soon as possible. The condo is perfectly located within walking distance to either the main quinta avenida and close to many places to eat. It’s also close to the supermarket which helped a lot since we forgot to pack some things for the trip. I highly recommend this condo and the private pool was awesome and the community pool on the roof top was the cherry on top. We will be coming back very soon!!

Everything as advertised. Great spot for a weekend in playa. Close to restaurants and the mega is on the corner for groceries. Ernesto responded right away if there was any questions.

Comfortable and spacious condo in a great location. Place is kept very clean and has lots of amenities. Considerably quiet for Playa standards… Check-in was a breeze and the staff were quite friendly. I definitely recommend staying here.

the apartment was really as it was listed, the location is perfect to walk to the 5th avenue and in the surroundings you find everything you need like pharmacies, super markets, etc. the parking is a big plus if bring a car definitely a great to stay in Playa

Good location about 5 minutes to get to 5th Avenue but far enough away that it is quiet at night. Ernesto was a great host who responded very quickly and his restaurant recommendations were great, would definitely recommend staying here.

Ernesto is a great host. He always responds quickly, and ensured we had a great stay. The condo was exactly as described in the listing and photos. It’s beautiful, beds were comfortable, bathrooms were clean and had enough towels, kitchen had all the appliances, and the jacuzzi is perfect for chilling in the afternoons. We also had the option to keep our luggage in the store room at the front desk after check-out. The location is ideal..there’s grocery store and pharmacy right around the block, and all the bars/restaurants are a 5-minute walk. Definitely recommend the place!

When we first stumbled upon this condo on AirBnB, it seemed almost too good to be true. There must be a catch! But everything was as perfect as it seemed online. Ernesto is the most thoughtful, gracious host. The bed is comfortable, bathroom and kitchen are excellent. Location is incredible. Thanks, Ernesto.

Ernesto was a fantastic host! He responded quickly to our questions and went above and beyond to help us. The location is perfect - walking distance to all of the touristy spots and grocery stores and right next to the bus station. Loved the rooftop pool! Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy all that Playa has to offer.

Place was great. Really close to beach and 5th ave. Private pool was great, and the rooftop pool was even better. Would definitely recommend as an alternative to doing an all inclusive.

Stay was lovely! Condo was clean and as described in pictures/bio. Great location, quiet street, but walking access to downtown Playacar and beach. One suggestion -> it would be nice to have drinking water & trash bags available upon arrival. We had to go to the supermarket regardless, so minimal inconvenience, but would be nice to have those items to make getting situated even easier. Overall great stay, thanks!

Just as pictured! Ernesto was awesome. Clean, easy instructions! This is literally walking distance from anything you want, at the least a 1 min walk from food a market and taxi services and at the most a 5 min walk from the 5th Ave and night action but still very exclusive. The place does have blinds!! The private pool was perfect for me and great to relax in! The Rooftop pool was so inviting as well! Loved the place all it needed was a bit of a women's touch with some flowers, or paintings and touchups.

Staying at Ernesto’s place was such a treat. Location is amazing….close proximity to 5th Ave, tons of great restaurants, grocery stores, but isolated enough that you don’t hear loud noise at night. The place is impeccable and spacious. The private pool and outdoor space were relaxing and the common pool is clean, beautiful and has an amazing view. Ernesto was always quick to respond. We loved our stay and look forward to spending more time there in the future.

Great space in the perfect location!

This location is central to everything, has security, and is well situated in Playa del Carmen close top 5th ave, Soriana and the bank. The primary issues that came up during the stay were handled by the host. The front desk was doing maintenance on the water pumps and we did not have water for a decent portion of one of our days, this is outside of Ernesto’s control but he did communicate. We did experience some leaking in the bathroom doorway during the rain the soaked my airport outfit.

Very satisfied. Everything was in working order and I would not hesitate to stay again.

We had a wonderful stay, the condo is exactly as pictured and well maintained, a couple things . . . although the door is unlocked by code, it is necessary to put the door lock back in "locked" position (vertical position) after opening the door, good to leave with instructions. Helpful hints, keeping the curtains totally closed/darkened next to stairs, greatly helps keep the area going up the stairs to the second bedroom and second bedroom much cooler, there were 3 "soft pillows" total between both bedrooms that my friend and I divided up, the rest of the pillows were very firm an uncomfortable, if you do not like a very firm bed, better to sleep downstairs, seems a bit softer, but for those who enjoy a more firm mattress. We had the best time, and the condo is centrally located in Playa, with plenty of restaurants, 5th ave, and grocery right nearby--->behind condo/within a few blocks, Ernesto's host book was so very helpful (Choux Choux, Porfirio's and Sonora Prime was great places to eat!) and he was always prompt in addressing any concerns and answering any questions we had, the private pool was so nice, it is upstairs off of the second floor bedroom, and the rooftop pool was lovely, but only one umbrella to use. This condo is not great for little ones due to the winding, steep stairs in the condo, have to be very careful if children come along. The upstairs bedroom has no closet, this would be a nice addition to have somewhere to hang clothes, there are shelving below the TV for folded things, but the downstairs bedroom has a really nice walk in wardrobe area. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful, in answering questions and getting taxis, you cannot use Lyft or Uber in this area. Bring pesos for cab rides, most only take cash/pesos for payment, but cabs are plentiful to get around. We will definitely be back !!! Thank you !!

Ernesto is a great host. Prompt and very easy to work with. The condo was very cool and true to expectations based on the photos. The neighborhood is safe and off of the main Avenida, but still very close to restaurants, shopping, and other attractions. I’d definitely stay here again.

Awesome condo. great location (5-10 minute walk to everything). tons of space, well furnished, and great pool. we were so relaxed by the end of our week staying here. used the pool, kitchen, and extra room everyday. per other reviews, be mindful of the stairs for smaller children. would 100% return

Every time we visit Playa De Carmen, it gets better and Better. Ernesto was the perfect host, we had a few issues and he made sure he took care of them immediately. The managenent staff at the property were also very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to ensure our stay was flawless. This property is 7 minutes from 5th Avenue and all the good restaurants . We were also10 minutes walk from the beach... It really is perfect. You are right next to the Mega Store which is so convenient. I could go on on. I would highly recommend this host and property to couples and families with older kids. Unfortunately the fabulous stairs leading up to the 2nd bedroom and pool was tricky for my 2 and 4 year old. Would defintly book again.

This is a wonderful place to stay. The location is perfect, close to the action but just enough out of the way to enjoy some relaxation. The rooftop pool was absolutely beautiful. The space itself was spacious and clean with comfortable beds. Would definitely stay here again and would absolutely recommend!

Ernesto's place was perfect for our working vacation. Ernesto's communication was wonderful and the place was exactly as described. We were a quick walk to a few grocery stores, wonderful restaurants and the beach. We had no trouble getting around. For those looking for a working vacation, the Wifi was great. We had three people working full days and had no connectivity issues. The private pool on the roof was a fantastic perk, as well! I highly recommend Ernesto's place!

The wifi worked really well through the apartment. The apartment was also close to great restaurants and only a few blocks from the beach. Only positive things to say, would stay again!

This penthouse was great ! Great location around the corner from Mega Supermarket . We used the private pool everyday . Bathrooms are very spacious, great closet space . We loved it ! Comfy beds, A.C works great ! Ernesto is a super host ! You don’t have to worry about carrying a key for the condo, it has a digital code you just punch in . The place is very clean just like the pictures, we would stay here again !

Ernesto place is the best in Playa Del Carmen and is a wonderful host.

Situated in ideal place in playa del Carmen lots of restaurants and good vibes close to the beach or you can bike by renting a bike for 5 dollars for the entire day. Like in any place never leave food out to avoid the ants. Give the place 5 stars.

Ernesto’s penthouse was the perfect place to stay in Playa. It’s super convenient to walk to local restaurants, Walmart and Mega groceries, 5th Avenue and various local hotspots. The condo was clean and cozy. Ernesto was quick with responses if I needed to reach him, and the lobby staff was super helpful during my stay. Lobby staff are available 24hours. I absolutely recommend booking with Ernesto, and I will definitely stay there again.
