We had an incredible stay in Drake Bay that we will remember for a long time. Big Banana House is conveniently located close to everything, yet it gave us the feeling that we were alone in the world, facing the ocean. A special mention goes to José, who took such good care of us with all the arrangements.

This was an excellent place to stay. It’s better than the photos. The view of Drake Bay is incredible, the rooms were nice & had great A/C available, the living spaces were comfortable and the outdoor patio is huge! Lots of space to hang out. There is a path to the beach & only an open field between the property and the beach. We loved having the two outdoor showers & an outdoor bathroom. I felt like we had the best place in town. Debra was available & super generous with us for an early check in and a late check out. Having this great house added to the enjoyment of our trip to Costa Rica.

This was the sixth trip to Costa Rica for me and my wife but a first for our two older sons. We are outdoor enthusiasts and spent a couple days fishing, a day at Corcovado, and a day snorkeling Caño Island. These tours were arranged through Debra and Jose and the guides were excellent. The house was comfortable. I would recommend a working grill and a mop and broom so we could clean up after we tracked things into

The central town location with the amazing views off the back veranda truly make this a 5 star rental. The host and caretaker were very responsive to all needs. Would rent again if we make it back to Drake Bay.

Peaceful and restful. Gorgeous view! Very accessible to restaurants and store. The veranda is just amazing. Debra and Jose very responsive and helpful.

We stayed at Casa Banana and it was a wonderful experience! 🌴 The house is beautiful, well-kept and very comfortable: top location, very close to everything and with a unique view of the sea that leaves you breathless. The spaces are welcoming and perfect for fully enjoying your vacation. A special thanks to José, always available and very kind, who made our stay even more pleasant. Stayed a week at Debra’s home. Beautiful, private, great location. Views are amazing. Debra was friendly attentive, host Jose, went above and beyond to make sure we were fully taken care of. Would highly recommend. Cheers

The most amazing thing about this house is the veranda and the view over Drake Bay. There is no one between the house and the bay, so you have a prime view. In addition, all kinds of birds come over, we saw super beautiful red and green macaws and all kinds of other birds. In the morning we were even surprised by a young tapir on the balcony! The kitchen is super, with the shutters that can be completely opened so you cook with a view over the bay. Inside, the house is beautiful and otherwise functional, we mainly sat outside. José helped super well with arranging the tours and the boat from Sierpe; we snorkeled at Caño and made a trek through Corcovado park. The area of the bay with tropical birds flying around is fairytale-like

Fantastic location with the most incredible view. Drake bay and this house are so unique. The noise and view of the ocean were incredible. However Jose and Debra were so helpful throughout our stay. It was like having a concierge service. Great stay and wonderful hosts.

Great place for our extended family with spacious veranda and gorgeous view.

The best place to stay in Drake hands down enjoy the soccer field below the house as the local kids were playing overlooking the ocean watching the boats come and go enjoy the hammock on the porch. Really nice bathroom would definitely recommend.
