The home is incredible, better than the pictures. Clean, well maintained, beautiful design. Location is perfect, hosts were responsive and the breakfast is not to be missed. We loved our time at Casa Serena and hope to return!

Exceeded expectations.

Casa Serena is a beautiful, bohemian style home. Concrete architecture with a courtyard and rooftop patio provides ample relaxation. Sliding wooden walls in some rooms also enhance the ambiance. Daily cleaning staff is friendly. There is a concierge that lives there during evening hours which is a pleasant surprise. They were helpful with services and appointments so please use them to your advantage! Would re-book again!

I stayed here with a group of friends and can easily say it is one of the most amazing homes any of us have ever stayed. The home is beautifully designed and filled with art and crafts that reflect the culture of the region. The beds were very comfortable, and there were lots of thoughtful details to make us feel at home while also feeling pampered like at a luxurious hotel. The location is perfect, walkable to shops, restaurants, cafes, and sites. The house staff was wonderful and were available to prepare delicious breakfast for us, which we opted for on a couple of the mornings. The host was very communicative and gave us great recommendations. She also helped us navigate a difficult situation when the airport was closed off due to a protest and a couple of us were unable to leave. We would definitely stay again on our next trip to Oaxaca!

We chose the property based on the pictures and great reviews and now I'm leaving one! Such a beautiful home with thoughtful design and and tasteful decor choices. Plenty of comfortable places for our group to chillax, whether indoors, in the courtyard, or on the rooftop terrace. Yoya was very responsive to questions leading up to the stay and also during our stay when we had a minor snafu with a safe. Easy walk to to all of our dinners and other destinations. Would highly recommend!

This space is without a doubt one of the most tranquil places we have ever stayed. It is even more gorgeous than the photos and is situated in a great area with local shops and restaurants. A gorgeous stay.

Our group had a fantastic stay at Erika’s property. It was as lovely as the pictures, and the outdoor rooftop was even more spacious than the pictures show. It’s very walkable, and I’d definitely stay there again. When booking, note that the cost increases very significantly per guest once you go above 6-7 guests. This caused some challenges with our reservation as the size of our group fluctuated as the trip approached. But we were VERY appreciative of the hosts letting us right-size our reservation just a few days before.

The staff were absolutely wonderful and made us feel completely at home. Breakfast was a highlight — fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared each morning. This might be the nicest Airbnb I have stayed at. It was a beautiful home in a great location in Oaxaca.

This airbnb was so beautiful; agree with the many other reviews that say the photos don't do it justice! The rooms and beds are all spacious, comfortable, and have ensuite bathrooms. The decor is tasteful and has clearly been given thought. There were also nice common areas to gather in like the courtyard and patio. It's walking distance from the heart of the city and feels very safe. Additionally, Yoya was an extremely accommodating host! She was responsive to all questions, helped us organize a home-cooked breakfast, and even allowed my partner and I to extend our check-out time at the last minute since no one was checking in right after us. I highly recommend this spot!

A spectacular space for visiting Oaxaca! It’s a beautiful house with such a nice variety of spaces for spreading out. Gorgeous sunsets and stars upstairs - a peaceful courtyard in the center of the property, and stylish settings throughout. So much to do within a short walking distance, we didn’t use any cars or taxis over the four days we visited. The staff that supports the house were all very helpful and kind. We asked for a few breakfasts to be made while there, and for a little extra fee, we were treated to some wonderful home cooking. Highly recommend Erika Cecilia’s place!

This is the most beautiful Airbnb residence we have stayed at - the pictures don't do it justice. It has wonderful views, and was perfect for our large family group (it would be equally as good for a group of couples as all the bathrooms are en suite). Additionally, you can arrange for the housekeepers there to cook you meals, and they prepared delicious breakfasts for us every morning. It was very clean and easy to find. The neighborhood is great.

Erika's courtyard home is perfectly set up for a large group. There are multiple places to gather when not exploring Oaxaca de Juárez. Our favorite was the upper deck with beautiful views of the city and mountains. The flowering plants from the courtyard below attract hummingbirds. Many restaurants, museums and activities are just blocks away. Upon request, staff would prepare a delicious breakfast for us. Their professionalism and attentiveness was a delight. Joya also recommended a car service for excursions out of the city and our return trip to the airport. Erikas home provides a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. You will not be disappointed.

Wow, what an incredible place to stay! Extremely luxurious. Staying during the rainy season is amazing because the rooftop allows you to see storms roll in and get incredible sunsets, and to have the sound of water dripping through the plants in the morning. The natural light in the space is perfect. It’s incredibly walkable and there’s a few really great cafes right across the street. Yoya and the staff also helped organize a home-cooked meal after a day where we had a big adventure and were too tired to go out. They also helped us arrange taxis for our flights out of Oaxaca. Extremely responsive communication. No complaints and an absolutely stunning place to stay. Would recommend to anyone!

This is quite possibly the most beautiful Airbnb that we have ever stayed at! The photos don't quite do it justice. Yoya was also extremely responsive, and the housekeeping team were wonderful. We arrived very late at check in, and Yoya organised for the housekeepers to cook us a quick meal which was lovely. Highly recommended for large groups as well, lots of privacy but with beautiful and convenient common areas to socialise.

The home is beyond beautiful. The inner courtyard is great when the top deck gets too hot. We had a lovely stay.

Staying at La Serena was an unforgettable experience! The design of the property was stunning. And it was just a short walk to the center of Oaxaca, making it incredibly convenient to explore. We found ourselves within easy reach of amazing restaurants and charming cafes. The host was exceptionally responsive and attentive to our needs throughout our stay. They were always available to answer any questions we had. The staff were also wonderful! They were friendly, professional, and always willing to help with anything we needed. We loved our stay in Erikas home! The home itself is a perfect blend of traditional and modern Oaxacan architecture. The decor is tasteful and vibrant. Super comfortable beds! We loved the house so much we wished we had more days to just stay and enjoy the house; truly a gem in the middle of Oaxaca. Just a short walk to the city center, we loved being able to easily access the local markets, restaurants and the mezcalerias. Yoya and the staff were super welcoming, attentive, and always available to answer any questions we had. They provided us with great recommendations and helped us all throughout our stay. One of the best places we’ve stayed, it is an out of the ordinary home and the service is excellent. We loved how close was from places.

La Serena is spectacular. The pictures are nice but the place is more amazing in person. Each of the 6 bedrooms is a good size and bathrooms are all really nice. (The outdoor showers and tubs!) the common areas included dining room, big kitchen, an outside living room, inside living room and rooftop deck area. You’ll have plenty of places to hang out with everyone. Fantastic location, walkable to everything in town: bars, restaurants, stores, sights… The housekeepers Rocio and Tere are so sweet and they made us the best meals! Martín is on site to fix or help with anything you need. Yoya was easily accessible, helped coordinate everything we needed during our stay. Thank you for a fantastic stay! Can’t wait to go back!

The house has a very good renovation with comfortable and large rooms. A beautiful terrace from which you can see the Church of Santa Domingo very nice. The time is very hot in Oaxaca but the air conditioning in every room was the salvation. The relationship with Yoya is impeccable. Very detailed and very attentive. I hope to be back!

La Serena is an oasis in the heart of Oaxaca. We spent 4 nights in November, 3 couples (but the house can comfortably accommodate 6 couples). Beautiful art, furniture, and lighting throughout. Spotlessly clean. Rooftop patio, courtyard with fountain. Very kind and accommodating staff. The staff are very present although unobtrusive, coming and going multiple times throughout the day, so if you value complete privacy, you may want to speak with the owner first. A great place to relax and unwind after a day of shopping and excellent Oaxaca restaurants. We would highly recommend!

The place is amazing. Close to all the best places in Oaxaca and easy to walk to many restaurants and historic sites downtown. Very large place with a large patio with a fountain, several rooms, large kitchen, 6 bedrooms each with a bathroom and large terrace on the top floor overlooking downtown. The people who work in the house who cooked for us every morning and also cleaned the rooms every day were also very friendly. They welcomed us with mezcal when we arrived. And also beautiful Oaxaca with plenty to do in the city.

Erika and her team were first class on all fronts. I can’t wait to go back!

The house is wonderful, designed with great taste, spacious rooms and with the best location in town, close to many restaurants and tourist attractions. But the best is Yoya the host, she contacted us in advance to make sure that our stay was pleasant and she organized so many things for us from restaurant recommendations to local tours, she was on top of all the things. Also another gem is the staff that works in the house, especially the two cooks ! Tere and rocio. They are such great cooks and super nice persons who took the time to teach us about Oaxaca’s culture. This is not just a beautiful home its an experience ! I recommend this home to a large family or a large group of friends!

Erika's home is a gem in Oaxaca - you feel like you have your own boutique hotel with amazing staff and great design. The team is always on hand to help with tips, especially when one of our group was sick and we need medical attention. Yoya gives us a lot of advice and contacts to have chef service in the house and everything super well done. Serena is an incredible option in Oaxaca, I hope we can return soon.
