Relaxing tropical oasis. Loved the pool. Beautiful gardens. Easy walk to just about any place you want to go in Sayulita. Lots of great restaurants nearby. Halo, the property manager, was a huge help. Very responsive. Split AC units kept the bedrooms nice and cool for sleep, which was a must-have while we were there in July. Wish we'd been able to take better advantage of all the outdoor spaces and the comfortable living room (there is no AC in the living/dining room) - they are lovely, but the heat and bugs were tough while we were there. Obviously, not a reflection on the home just bummed that we weren't able to take fuller advantage of all this place has to offer.

We were a group of 4 adults and 4 teens and this house was perfect for the crew. It was beyond clean and had enough space for everyone to have some private space. It's a short walk to town and super close to a quieter part of the beach. We will be back one day for sure.

Your Search Stops Here—Sayulita at Its Absolute Best! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As an Airbnb Superhost myself, I appreciate great hosting—and this was exceptional. We brought our grown kids (22, 24, 26) to celebrate my husband's birthday. Everything was absolutely perfect. The house is stunning—even better than pictured. Steps from the beach, on a quiet street, with an easy walk to town or nearby yoga, coffee, bars, cafes, etc. The interior is gorgeous: warm textures, cheerful colors, local art, quality furnishings. The outdoor spaces overflow w/tropical foliage, bougainvilleas, & butterflies, plus a refreshing saltwater pool w/dreamy wooden loungers. Our host Halo was a true gem—warm, responsive, & incredibly resourceful. She arranged a private chef who prepared an unforgettable bday dinner (the fried snapper—wow!), a private catamaran sunset cruise complete w/humpback whales boat-side, & seamless, safe airport transport. Every detail handled flawlessly. This is what travel is supposed to feel like.

We were a group of four girlfriends who stayed at this property. It was very walkable. It was located one to block to the beach. Restaurant and coffee shops here near by. The town square was a 5 minute walk. It was a fantastic place. The house manager was friendly and helpful with all questions with all questions.

This place is honestly unbelievable! I had read reviews saying it was even better than the pictures and I agree with that wholeheartedly. This is a wonderful, lush property with such thoughtful amenities: drinkable water stations, plenty of pool and beach equipment, wonderful lounging areas, board games, etc. Jill has obviously put a lot of thought into making this a comfortable and luxurious stay in Sayulita. Not to mention, it’s literally steps from the beach. We had a group of 8 women and enjoyed this property so much, we are already talking about coming back to stay with Jill again in 2027! Many many thanks as well to Halo, who was an incredibly responsive and helpful house manager.

My husband and I along with our 2 teenagers loved our time at Casa Salate. The place was beautiful and we loved watching the birds and iguanas as we lounged by the pool. Location was fantastic. Beach was right down the street and wonderful cafes and restaurants within walking distance. We also loved that it was more low key than the center of town —- but we could still easily walk to the busier sudden of town if we wanted! Halo, the local property manager, was very responsive. We hope to be back!

This home is pretty incredible. The architecture throughout the grounds is unique and inspiring. The rooms were large and cooked. The common areas are fantastic for relaxing as a group or individually. The prize areas are the outdoor patios and courtyards! This place is perfect for group vacations... we had two couples and two singles and we had the best vacation in Sayulita!

Hi Hunter, So glad you enjoyed Casa Salate! We hope to see you all again.

Had a great stay! The house is on the South side of town, a block from the beach. We really enjoyed the pool (which stays shady all day thanks to trees!) and the huge beautiful tree in the center of the yard! Well-stocked kitchen and cold AC, comfortable beds. Would recommend!

Casa Salate was so great for my family vacation with little kids. The pool with the shallow end was great for my kids and they especially loved the iguanas, chachalacas, and mangos. Living under the shade of the salate tree for a few days was awe-inspiring. And the beauty of the grounds felt like we were staying in a tropical botanical garden. We had access to everything we hoped for within a short golf cart ride or walk.

The home is beautiful, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our 1 week trip. Plenty of space for our two families with kids from 0-7. The outdoor staircases are open, but we would just be with the early walkers as they went up and down, and the indoor areas were fine for them to roam. The bigger kids loved the loft "hideout". The pool was perfect for everyone. The location is right by the beach and little further from the center of town, which we liked because it was less noisy and crowded. The house manager was super helpful in arranging a private chef, golf carts, and baby gear rentals. Can't wait to come back!

Very responsive host and the home was lovely. There were some issues with water but that wasn’t the house’s fault. It happens in the area from time to time.

Casa Salate feels like a palace. Beautiful architecture, a serene garden/pool, and a great location (not too far, not too close to the action, with excellent beach access). The host staff was there waiting for us when we arrived to show us around and they were very responsive to any issues while we were there. The mid-week cleaning was an especially nice touch. Would highly recommend for a group of 6. We were two couples and two singles and it was the perfect base of operations for our 5 night stay. Hope to be back!

We loved the place but had a number of problems- the fridge broke, the hot water didn’t work for two days, a fan was broken, the panel on the main gate came loose. However, they were all fixed as soon as we reported them. Halo, the manager, was extremely responsive and friendly.

We stayed here with friends visiting from London and for two families it was perfect. It was very hot and humid so the aircon in the bedrooms was very welcome. The view from the rooftop was wonderful. It is definitely a house for older children given the height of the balconies around the house are a lot lower than what you would find in Australia and the drops are significant. We didn’t like Sayulita as a village and so spent all our time in the house and garden and had a very relaxing few days.
Host Response
It was good to hear you enjoyed Casa Salate as we do our best to make it comfortable, but frustrating to see that you gave a 3-star location rating. That category has to do with the location of the house, (which all other guests rate as excellent, and apparently you liked it as well) not your opinion of the town of Sayulita, or the climate at the time of your visit, or your general experience in the town which we obviously have no control over. It is true and well known that the summer months are usually hot and humid, and present a much different experience than the much more balmy winter months. We are sorry that you did not enjoy Sayulita as a town at the time of your visit, but wish you had not taken it out on your rating of Casa Salate's location here as it gives the wrong impression. There are many other forums available for expressing opinions on Sayulita in general.

Halo was amazing and helped us check in and along the way with great recommendations. The house was fantastic. Really appreciated the cooler bag, chairs and umbrellas for the quick little walk to the beach. One note is that you are not able to flush toilet paper in the home but it wasn’t a problem for us. The house was pristine and pretty and we loved the pool and the privacy! They thought of everything!

Jill’s property was even better in person. Between the beautiful outdoor space and the way the rooms are spaced out, it really feels like you are staying at a private compound. The location was perfect for us. It is on the quieter side of town, with a 3 minute walk to the beach, but still felt close when we wanted to go into the main downtown. Highly recommend!

Casa Salate was perfect for our 3-generation family group. The grounds and comfortable home are stunning; our 2 year old grandson loved the shallow end of the pool; and we all enjoyed hanging out in the varied spaces. We always felt we were returning to an oasis when we left Sayulita’s busy streets to come in the gate. The location could not be better, just off the main drag in the quieter north end but still close to everything. Great beach just across the road, good nearby coffee spot and restaurants, and most destinations just a 10-15 minute walk away. Jill and Ron’s team were always helpful with any questions and extra assistance.

Beautiful, well equipped house in the best location in Sayulita. We were two families and the house was the perfect set up, with lots of space for separateness and togetherness. Excellent communication with the hosts.

Jill's gorgeous Villa is the ideal place to take in Sayulita! We came in the hottest part of the summer, but the second we entered Jill's place we felt both pampered and at home. The AC worked wonders, the layout of the villa is great for privacy and time to retreat after a full day outside. The kitchen was well-stocked. We were planning to split our stay to try out different parts of town, but at the last minute our other home lost power and Jill was able to extend our stay, basically saving our vacation. Gorgeous property. Thank you, Jill!!!

Casa Salate is truly an exceptional place, it's like an oasis in a beautiful neighborhood. The home itself is bright and airy with powerful and stable internet. Kids could browse the internet without complaint and the services on TV kept them occupied. The airy screens, shade trees, beautiful birds that roost on the grounds, and bright colors and flowers immediately evoke relaxation and peace. Simply sipping a cup of coffee and being immersed in the environment is a must-do each morning. The beds and linen are very comfortable, and the bathrooms and clean and well-equipped. Great water pressure from the showers so that you can really feel like home. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped with water supplied by the hosts, plenty of plates, cups, accessories, and cooking equipment. The beach is a short walk and one of the absolute best in all of Sayulita; yes there are vendors but far fewer than the main beach and even Playa de las Muertes. We fell in love and visited daily.

One of the nicest houses we've stayed. Believe it or not the pictures don't do it justice! Great location with the beach and a wonderful restaurant just across the street. The beds are comfortable, the house well maintained and kitchen fully stocked, not much more you could ask for. Thanks Jill for a wonderful stay, we will be back!

The villa is beautiful. The pictures don't even do it justice. Drone photos should be taken to capture the full magnitude. The gardeners came every two days to maintain the land, and the maids also came twice to maintain the villa. Everything was spotless. There were ten of us and each of the three families had their own floor. We, the grandparents, had the casita where we could have cooked independently. The other two families each had their own floor with their 2 children, and each had their own bathroom. Three extra beds were made available to us for the children. On the upper floor, the parents have installed the two extra beds in their bedroom. The sea is a stone's throw from the villa and getting there and back is very easy. The village of Sayulita is very friendly and pleasant. Lots of good restaurants. We also brought a chef to the villa to prepare dinner. Delicious!

We were the first guests to stay since it was listed on Air B and B. We had a fabulous time, and the house was perfect. It is a very unique villa located in on the edge of town, nestled in the edge of the jungle, one short block from the beach. It is the perfect location - a 10 minute walk to town but quiet at night. The grounds are beautiful with luscious landscaping. The higher levels have views of the ocean and you can hear the waves crashing at night. The place was immaculate with comfortable beds, linens, and beautiful tiled bathrooms. The casita and the top floor room have their own coffee makers. The house had plenty of bath and beach towels as well as beach chairs, boogie boards etc. They also provided plenty of drinking water. Cleaning and landscaping staff came twice during the visit. Jill and Ron are delightful and gave us a quick tour of the property upon arrival and were very responsive during our visit. The property is even more beautiful than the photos.
