We had a wonderful stay! The home was beautiful, comfortable, and had more than enough space to accommodate our family of six. The property matched the photos perfectly, so everything was exactly as we expected when we arrived. Our host was very responsive and even assisted us with arranging a taxi when we had trouble securing one in town, which we greatly appreciated. Rosie was wonderful and met us upon arrival to welcome us and show us the ins and outs of the home. Everything was comfortable and made for a relaxing, enjoyable stay. We would absolutely recommend this property to others, it will not disappoint!

A spectacular house!!! We loved the quality details of the furniture, decor, and services. The house is very large, just as shown in the photos. The location is very good, with close access to the restaurant area and the lagoon. The hosts were always very attentive to our questions prior to arrival, especially Rosy, who welcomed us to the house and gave us excellent recommendations and contacts for home services that were very helpful. Details such as a Bluetooth speaker, cooler, pool towels, grill and kitchen accessories… all of excellent quality and with no restrictions on use. The pool is large enough to share, and we spent incredible afternoons there. As an additional touch, they arranged the tour of the lagoon for us at a very excellent price. We will definitely return to this magical place with these hosts who make sure we feel cared for and pampered.

We stayed for six days and had an amazing time. The house is beautiful, very comfortable, spacious, and clean. They were always helpful and attentive, and they helped us in any situation. I would gladly stay again.

We loved the house. The photos don't do it justice! There is a lot of privacy. The outside area is a bit muddy (it was the rainy season), but that was not an impediment to enjoying the house since it is fully fenced. Everything was excellent. We would definitely come back.

Rosy was great, very attentive. She gave us great recommendations for local restaurants and a lagoon boat tour. The home was beautiful, a distance from down town, but doable with a car. Overall a great stay.

Very beautiful house with excellent amenities

One of the best houses in Bacalar to enjoy as a family.

Had a great stay. We were a group of 10 with plenty of room for everyone. Very private but a quick drive to the tourist areas. We had Rosy cook us supper one night and she did a fantastic job!!!

Everything was seamless from checkin to checkout. They accommodated us very well with checkin and our flight delays, ensured we knew where everything was in the home and had extra towels and linens available if we needed. Home is outside of the town, but had the peace and quiet we were looking for. We walked to and from town everyday, approx 50 min walk to the town square and we never encountered any issues or trouble. Even had some friendly dogs walk along with us some evenings. Every room has its own private bathroom, plenty of hot water and very comfortable beds. If you have a large group, this is ideal. Private in property parking. Unfortunately it was too cold for us to use the pool, but it was spectacular to look at, I even appreciated the cleaning of the pool between guests. They go above and beyond to ensure cleanliness and hospitality. If I ever go back to Bacalar, and we definitely will, I would stay here again.

The house is amazing, everything works great, communication with Esmeralda is very timely, she is always available... it is a big house... each room has air conditioning, TV, the beds are very comfortable, the living room is very spacious, it has an incredible terrace with barbecue and pool, the kitchen has everything you need, there is a laundry room with washer and dryer... everything is very good. We have a car, in case you go without a vehicle, it is a bit far away... It was a very pleasant experience... Ideal for large families...

Everything about it was excellent

There is no way to describe this house, it is amazing location and the layout of the house is great. I loved the decore. I wish we had time to enjoy the pool and stay longer. I would return and recommend to all of my family .

The house is very nice, just like the photos in the listing, you feel like you're in a 5-star hotel. It has everything you need to cook and have a good time in it. The quality of the linens, furniture, appliances and utensils in general stands out for being of good quality.

Our two-day stay at Casa Cactus in Bacalar was amazing! The property was beautiful and comfortable, and our host Rosy went above and beyond to make our trip special. She was incredibly kind and helpful—she even picked up groceries for us and prepared both breakfast and dinner, which were absolutely delicious. We truly appreciated her hospitality and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend Casa Cactus for anyone visiting Bacalar!

GREAT HOST

It's the most beautiful house I've ever seen, not just on Airbnb, in general. It has beautiful spaces, perfect decor. Delicious beds, everything works, we enjoyed it very much as a group of 12 people. Rosy, who is the person who cooks and is attentive, is the best, she cooks delicious food and is always willing to help. I definitely recommend Casa Cactus🌵, your stay will be perfect. Keep in mind that it's not that close to the restaurant area or things to do (we looked for it that way) and you'll have to move around, but in 5 minutes you're everywhere: downtown, lagoon, etc. and Rosy contacts you with reliable taxis, for which we never paid more than 100. If you bring a car, you can move around easily and quickly, and there is a large garage.

Beautiful villa near Bacalar center and the lagoon. The accommodation is huge and very good quality. Host was very responsive to our requests. We had Rosy's services for breakfast, a real treat and Rosy is an extremely kind and helpful person. We loved it. Thanks again

The house is amazing, cared for down to the last detail and with luxury finishes. It's a great place to host a large group, as was our case. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom and the spaces are spacious and comfortable. Rosy greeted us and made sure we had everything we needed, and she also prepared a delicious breakfast, like homemade. The two days we stayed were not enough to enjoy the house and we didn't want to leave. We would definitely return and highly recommend the accommodation to other travelers. It exceeded our expectations!

The accommodation is beautiful, it has extra elements that enhance the stay. I thought the living room and pool area would be small, but everything is spacious and a very good size. The person who welcomed us was very kind and I would definitely recommend it and return.

We loved Casa Cactus during our stay in Bacalar. The house was perfect and we opted to have Rosy cook some breakfast and dinner meals and they were absolutely perfect. Sooooo yummy and even our picky Children loved her cooking. The potato floutas were heavenly as well as the lentils and cauliflower…so yummy. Rosy also recommended a boat tour of the lake which was marvelous and recommended a restaraunt in town that was so yummy we had to go twice!! Rosy was gracious and helpful and really a wonderful host. We will be back again!

The location of the house is excellent and the facilities are great, it has a lot of space and they always make sure you are comfortable.

New and spectacular house a few minutes away from beach clubs, downtown Bacalar and the new Mayan train station. The house stands out for having many rooms with a bathroom included, large living spaces and a super nice and practical kitchen. It's a great option if you have a car. If you don't have a car, you'll have to walk 20-30 minutes to get to the lagoon or downtown Bacalar.
