Our on site bilingual host, "house keeper" Leo, our incredible property manager, lives about 30 feet away. He is a super friendly and helpful guy. If you look at some other reviews you will see lots of people mention how great he is. I wish you would have asked him for help if the wifi was down and you couldn't reach him or myself electronically. The wifi goes out infrequently. But this is East Cape Mexico. We are in the middle of nowhere in the desert on the beach. Things like wifi can malfunction or even break. That's why it is so important to talk to Leo next door. He likes to help. Since we, and every other rental in the area, are off grid, we juice the batteries up during the day so they can power the AC all night. This has only been an issue for very few guests during heat waves. We advise everyone ahead of time but unfortunately some guests still come and expect to use electricity 24/7, the same as being in town on the grid. If you run the AC, and do not let the batteries charge, there will not be any solar power left for the night. This is why we give all of our guests ample notice when they book and in person again while they are there. The back up generators are not meant for constant use and will break if abused. There are also two separate solar systems on the property. One is shared between the Casita and Leo's Cabina. So, yes, you used all of the power. The guests staying at the big house, the Palacio, have their own solar system. The wonderful trade off solar power offers is the peace & quiet due to the lack of city development & the feeling of privacy, serenity and wilderness all around you. It is a beautiful piece of paradise that we hope stays unspoiled, wild & free. All in all I wish you had spoken to myself or my team first for help while you were there and especially after if you felt like you had a bad trip and were deserving of a refund. Instead you chose to leave the very first one star review we've ever had in years of business. Quite a shock to see with zero indication form you that you had a bad time. If you'd like to look at the other reviews we've received that are almost always 5 stars, you will see that we are not dishonest or fraudulent at all. We always want to make sure our guests have the best trip possible and have never been stingy with a refund if there were complaints or issues. We just wish we had been given the chance to help!
