We loved our stay at The Orchid. The location is lovely, right between West End and West Bay. The beach is right down the road and the dive center there is fantastic. It was super easy to get a water taxi at the pier but I would still recommend having your own vehicle. The house itself is absolutely beautiful and has everything you need for a fabulous vacation.

The Orchid is perfection! The host thought of everything to make the stay enjoyable and easy to settle in. The location is great if you want to have a little more peace and quiet than the hustle and bustle in West End and West Bay yet still close enough to walk to either. I’d say 20 minutes if you are taking your time. It’s a 5 minute drive or a 5 minute boat taxi which you can wave down from the dock just down the hill. Several good restaurants nearby too. The layout of the house is perfect with a spacious gathering area, well equipped kitchen and multiple decks with hammocks, swings etc. if you want some alone time. The pool is a bonus and a super nice pool guy comes to clean it several days a week. My favorite thing about the house is the ability to open it up in the morning or evenings and let the breeze blow through. The multiple screen doors to the outdoor decks and window placement make it pleasant inside without the AC. It has a bit of a tree house vibe. Loved it!
