This place was fantastic and comfortable for 10 of us. We would definitely recommend this to someone else and return ourselves.

The house is very nice. Equipped kitchen, spacious rooms and very nice gardens along with the pool... The communication with Rafael, who gave us the house, was good. I didn't meet Lara because I was on vacation. Maybe that's why there wasn't more communication. I would have liked to have had a question I had answered sooner. It wasn't answered until the day of my check-in. My guests were very comfortable with the stay. Only 3 people mentioned that there might have been some insects in the beds, due to the type of rash they had, so please be careful about that. In general, everything was very good, and I would definitely consider it again to pay for my stay in Bucerías. ☺️

Quiet location, very nice house in terms of space and layout, more than I imagined, very comfortable furniture and very nice decor. It has a very spacious kitchen and all kinds of equipment and utensils for preparing food. And if you really like to enjoy the water or have children, the pool area is unbeatable. We had a very comfortable stay.

Very good experience

Absolutely beautiful villa, it was perfect for our large family. The vegetation was stunning (100’s of avocados on the avocado tree), the resident iguana was a treat and the staff was kind, helpful and immediately responsive. We had an amazing time. Unfortunately, my teenagers stained several linens which I take full accountability and financial responsibility for. I’m so sorry Laura and James, you have a magical place in Bucerias. I wish you all the very best.

Thank you Lara and James for hosting my family at Casa Alegre. We made great memories and greatly enjoyed our stay. From the pool to the great food places all over the neighborhood. It was a restful place away from home. The house was perfect for my family everyone was able to fit comfortably without having to wait on bathrooms since each room had their own (huge bonus) The house itself is a beautiful getaway, it was clean and maintained while we were there. Just overall an amazing home to stay in the Bucerias area. Pictures don’t do justice to the property. Also James went above and beyond to make us feel right at home. We hosted a few work sessions on property and was a fantastic setting for it as well.

Lara and James’ house was ABSOLUTELY perfect for our family! Lots of space and very private. The yard/outdoor areas are beautiful, and well maintained. Our kids and grandkids loved the pool! There were lots of pool floaties, as well as sand toys which we used at the beach. Lots of extra towels for use around the pool, as well. The house is well appointed, and extremely comfortable. The BBQ area is great; we Bbq’d twice. Filtered water in the kitchen was a plus. The location is also great - nice restaurants close by, and not far from the beach and all the action in Bucerias. There are stairs, so the space wouldn’t really work if mobility is an issue. We would absolutely stay here again - it was a fabulous vacation! Thanks Lara, James and Rafael!

Beautiful villa! Loved walking the neighborhood and finding family operated places to eat. Nice walk to the beach and the busy life. So much to explore and enjoy …. amazing beach, bakeries, coffee. A perfect place to stay!

An exceptional stay, a dream home! Our stay at this beautiful Mexican house was just amazing. Upon arrival, the host welcomed us warmly and was a great help throughout the week, until our departure. The property is beautiful and fit the needs of our large family of 12 very well. The open common areas are perfect for meeting, and the large courtyard with its barbecue and in-ground pool is a true paradise for relaxing. The private rooms, each equipped with air conditioning, offered us all the comfort and privacy we wanted. The neighborhood, family-friendly and buzzing, seduced us. There are many quality restaurants and even a microbrewery a short walk from the house. The beach is just 15 minutes away. With a car, access to the large grocery store and the tourist towns of Puerto Vallarta or Sayulita is easy.

We were delighted staying at Lara's and James's villa. Every question we had before going was answered. James met us at the door with a huge smile on his face! The villa was even better than the photos taken. We had 4 children under 6 years of age and 6 adults. There was plenty of room for all of us to have privacy and also the open layout of the home gave us areas for the kids to play while keeping them in plain sight. The pool was the best! We felt like we were at our own private resort! The place.was just immaculate and the housekeeper and gardner were beyond helpful!. It was lovely living like a local in the community. The only negative I can think of is it was a chore walking the young children to the beach which was a few blocks away. However, we learned there were inexpensive Ubers. This was the first of this kind of family vacation together. 10 people of different ages and personalities could all blend together as well as have their privacy. Fabulous!

The house is so much better than the pictures. There was plenty of space for 10 adults. We felt safe. The house was clean and peaceful. We enjoyed spending time by the pool. It’s a 10 minutes walk to the beach but you can take an uber. It’s an amazing place.

What a beautiful place! Photos cannot do it justice. The spaciousness and open design of the main living area, as well as the large bedrooms, made this a perfect accommodation for a large group. Our family spent many hours in and around the lovely pool. The beach was a walkable distance away, and we enjoyed swimming in the waves. Food options are numerous in Bucerias. We especially enjoyed some of the local eateries. The house is located in a residential neighbourhood where local shops and street life are part of the experience of vacationing in Bucerias. Communication with hosts Lara and James was easy, and they were accommodating of our needs. For example, they provided a playpen for an infant to sleep in. When our flight to Mexico was delayed, James kindly met us at the house in the wee hours. We highly recommend this amazing place.

We had a family vacation here and it was lovely! Great hosts and beautiful, comfortable house. The pool was perfect and there was everything we needed in the kitchen. The house is a few blocks from the more touristy hustle and bustle of the ocean, which was nice for us. A quiet neighborhood with a few great places to eat right nearby. Lara and James were friendly and very helpful with recommendations and help when we needed it. Highly recommend.

An amazing place to stay. From check-in to check-out hosts where available, information provided and beautiful property. So many good things to stay but not enough time. Basically on our 10 day stay, we only left on day long adventures twice because we didn’t want to miss out on the fun and relaxing time we had right on the property and at the pool. Corner stores and great restaurants to eat at, all in walking distance. Will be back for sure. Thank you so much James and Lara.

This was our first extended family vacation, a great success! We attribute this in part to our fantastic stay; the place is gorgeous, lots of areas to hangout together and wonderfully private rooms for everyone. The large kitchen and bbq area served us well, we did a lot of cooking. We often crowded around the "deck" table to eat, drink, and hangout. The many pool side chaise lounges were nice, wish it had been a bit sunnier and warmer. The bougainvillea (and all the plantings) made the place feel lush. We had fun watching the birds and trying to spot Iggy. Observing happenings from the street deck was always entertaining. The location is fantastic. We were far enough away from the highway as to not hear it, but close enough that walking to "downtown" was easy. We took lots of walks in the neighbourhood and beyond, so much to see. The fruit and veggie store at the end of the street was frequented at least once a day. The staff were friendly and so discreet. We loved Casa Alegria!

Fabulous place to spend Christmas with family. The house is stunning - lots of room for everyone to spread out and have their own space. The kitchen is just like home and so easy to navigate. Each room was beautiful with comfortable beds, hair dryer and closet space. Pool area and casita were great for hanging out and relaxing. There’s a brand new ‘Tacos and Beer’ across the street with amazing food and sports on every night too. Culi’s is a half block up the road, as well as the craft brewery Bucla. Quick 10-15 minute walk to anything you’d like to do in town (groceries, beach, market). The neighborhood is super friendly, lots of fruit and veggie markets and corner stores all up and down every road. We had a great time exploring. Finally, James and all of the staff are just lovely people. So kind and helpful, recommendations all on point. Rafael and Natalie were in a couple times to freshen up the pool and linens, always great to chat with. Can’t wait to come back! Thanks guys!!

Almost didn’t want to review as to keep this gem a secret!! Pretty sure we discovered our new home away from home. Spacious, lush, clean, private, local gems steps away. Up and coming neighborhood with authentic charm. A Great launching point for beaches, tours, all levels and types of gastronomy and inland exploring. Communication was seamless. Cannot wait to come back. Great for groups or families. Thank you !!!

This villa is beautiful. Walking distance to everything. We felt very safe in the neighborhood and the locals were all very friendly and helpful. Lots of local places to eat, we found the street vendors had the best tacos! Everyone had a great time and we will definitely be back!!

We had the opportunity to spend a few days on vacation in this beautiful home and it was an unforgettable experience. The house is absolutely perfect for a group of friends or family as it has spacious and comfortable rooms, spacious social areas and a clean and available pool. Privacy and comfort were critical during our stay, and the house was more than complied with. The kitchen and living room are ideal for spending time with family and friends, and the avocado trees in the garden were a delicious gift. The location of the house is excellent as it allowed us to visit nearby beaches and enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings. Beautiful cozy house, fully furnished and equipped with kitchen utensils, appliances, drinking water, toys for the beach and board games. The water in the pool is crystal clear and heated. There live a chicken and her chicks, cook them.

A beautiful place

Hi, everything was fine. The service we received was good, and the place was beautiful. I was just wondering if the pool water was heated, because it was always warm, and we didn't know if it was because of the heat or if it was heated. But the house is perfect for group fun. On our trip, there were two families with teenage children, and we had a great time...

The place is beautiful, the bedrooms are super nice and comfortable. The kitchen is super equipped with everything you might need. I wish there was also air conditioning in the dining area, although on the other hand it is the concept of hacienda type. A lot of privacy in each bedroom and its bathrooms. The pool area was what we enjoyed the most. Excellent house, excellent host and Rafa and Natalie are also super friendly. We are super happy!!

Absolutely stunning property! Like a boutique hotel with plenty of room for multiple parties travelling together. Neighborhood is friendly, safe and walkable to many restaurants, convenience stores, and to the beachfront. Definitely would like to stay at their property again. 50th birthday trip with my wife and some great friends. We had a blast. The house has a great layout. 2 king bedrooms upstairs each with their own bathroom. Downstairs has also has 2 king bedrooms that share a jack& jill bathroom. Then another room with 2 smaller beds that would be great for kids. This bedroom connects to a bathroom too. Lastly, the large pool casita has a king bed and its own bathroom + mini fridge. We used the pool a lot! The kitchen has everything! Thank you large lime squeezer! We miss all of the birds, iguana, and chicken. The house is located perfectly in a neighborhood close to convenient little shops, a brewery, nice restaurant, a burger joint, and of course tacos! It is an easy walk to the beach and the many more restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and street markets across the highway. A big thank you to James and Lara for recommendations and assistance with everything we asked. It was an amazing trip. We highly recommend and all of us hope to be back.

Beautiful home! Big and spacious. James was very nice. He was un top of anything we needed and made us feel at home. Definitely recommend.

We can’t say enough. Location was 10 minutes from the beach walking, and there was plenty to see and do on the way there. Local eats. Vendors. Massage. Pool tables. Everyone we ran into was super friendly and helpful. The house itself is absolutely amazing. Immaculate. Pool was clean and warm. Plenty of towels. Bathrooms were clean and stocked. There was a housekeeper every few days as well as groundskeeper. Our host let us know good spots for dancing and food and offered to arrange taxi to the airport. Anything we called for was answered within an hour if not way less. We had 7 adults and three kids 6-14 yrs. They had a blast as well. We will be back for sure!!!

It was a great place. Host met us at the door and explained things to do and places to go. The pool was great It was used daily morning, noon and night. Will certainly go back to this property in the future.

Awesome place to stay. An easy walk to The beach, a fantastic brewery nearby and one of the best restaurant meals I’ve ever had next door at Culi’s. The kids loved the pool and the provided boogie boards were put to good use!

This was a great place! A very different vacation than the resorts in PV or NV, which is exactly what we wanted. Took my family of 8, lots of young kids and teenagers, and everyone had a blast. It’s literally in the middle of a Mexican neighborhood, not a touristy area. You get to see how the locals live, where they shop, what they eat. We had a great time really immersing ourselves in the culture. Downtown Bucerías and the beach are a fairly quick walk away 10-15 minutes. We enjoyed both areas, but we’re glad we had the quiet and the privacy of the area this home affords. Great restaurants very close by. Great pool, comfortable beds, etc. Indoor/outdoor dining. Plenty of shade. Great WiFi and easy access on each TV to Disney+, Amazon Prime, Netflix, etc. We love to stay at different places when we vacation but our family is already hoping to go back and stay in the same place, and bring some friends too!

We were a group of 8 adults staying for 5 days/4 nights and found it to be more spacious and comfortable than we expected. The home is more beautiful in person compared to the photos and is in a very walkable neighborhood. We loved it and spent the majority of trip cooking at home, lounging by the pool and having coffee in the upper level living room for hours in the morning. There are stairs and the house is on top a small incline from the main road so that is something to keep in mind for those with mobility needs. We found a lot of restaurants and home cooked meals nearby and didn't need a car to get around the immediate area or to the beach. The hosts were also so generous with communication, very friendly and flexible with check-in! Would absolutely recommend a stay!

We had an exceptional experience at this beautiful villa! It surpasses the photos, in reality it's even more impressive. Very clean and well-equipped! All rooms have comfortable king size beds (with the exception of a room with 2 small beds ), and each has its own bathroom! The pool, secluded, is impeccably clean. My family and I really enjoyed our stay in this villa. Plus, its location is great, just an 8 minute walk downtown. A big thank you to Lara!

Absolutely beautiful home with great bedrooms and common spaces. It's about a 15-minite walk to the beach. It has plenty of tasty restaurants nearby, but hours can be a bit tricky sometimes. If you decide to cook, know there isn't a lot of basic ingredients in the kitchen, so be prepared to purchase spices, oil, etc. There were plenty of towels and toilet paper, which was great to not have to purchase. I would definitely recommend it!!

So glad I got to stay at the villa. Everything went well and I had a great time staying there. Plenty to do around the area and there's a lovely taco restaurant across the road as well as a brewery and shops.

This home was absolutely perfect for our family vacation! We were a large group and really enjoyed the home as well as everything surrounding it. Beach, markets and restaurants very close by as well as the little corner store with all your basic needs! Lara was very helpful and is very good at responding asap. This house and the surrounding area was amazing. We had a big group of friends and we had plenty of space, we enjoyed the pool and we loved walking around Bucerias. I would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling with a large group in the Bucerias area. It’s close to the beach, close to so many little shops and restaurants, and we just loved our time there. The neighborhood was safe, and check in was super easy and flexible. Five out of five stars for sure!

Everything is very spacious and very clean. We were very comfortable. The beach is a 7-minute drive away. It has everything you need to have a good time.

I can’t say enough about what a wonderful stay we had in Bucerias. The house is spacious with a fabulous pool. It’s just minutes from great beaches. Our group loved the local neighbourhood which had great restaurants and was quiet and clean, a few minutes away from the main tourist stretch. We had a great vacation here!

What an amazing place for a vacation. We were able to bring all of our adult children and their spouses, our parents, and ourselves to this great location. The house was stunning and extremely comfortable. The location is amazing and it’s so easy to get to the beach and downtown, there was no need for us to have a Rent-A-Car. We would highly recommend this incredible location to anyone that is interested in enjoying their stay in Bucarios.

Our group of ten (aged from 1 year old to 71 years old!) had a fantastic two weeks at Lara’s property! It was so thoughtfully laid out that we all had enough space and didn’t feel all on top of each other. The kitchen space is large and the entire space is well kept! The pool was beautiful and we used it multiple times a day. Overall, we loved staying here and thought it was great value for all the space you get!

Wonderful home! This home has everything you would need for a family getaway. Our family ages range from 2 years old to 72! We had a wonderful stay. Rafael made sure we were comfortable and took great care of us. He was available for any questions we had and was super helpful in connecting me with taxis making it easy for us to get around. The home has everything we needed to cook many meals and, lounge poolside, and play family games upstairs. We had a blast!

This is a beautiful house, very comfortable for a large group. It’s in a quiet neighborhood in Bucerias, across the highway from the beach area and the central part of town. The home is clean and well appointed. The beds are comfortable and the outdoor spaces and pool area are great for relaxing. A cleaning service comes multiple times a week, as do the landscapers and the pool cleaners. This is our 2nd time staying at this home and I’m sure we will be back.

The villa was perfect for our group of 8. The kitchen was very well equipped. The swimming pool was great with plenty of furniture. There is a very nice bar and barbecue area by the pool. It was an easy walk to the beach and the central square. Rafael was helpful with any of our needs including transportation into Puerto Vallarta.

The house is really clean, beautiful, has all you need for spending a really good time. Lara is really kind and quick to respond. She has people to help you with everything. The house is really worth the price, close to the beach and very comfortable.

Lara’s place is amazing! It is very clean and has such a Mexican feel to it. It is like 10 minutes walking from the beach which is so convenient! The neighborhood is safe and the communication with the property managers is quick and in point! I highly recommend staying here! It is worth it 👌🏽

This house is as beautiful as it appears in the photos. We traveled as a family of 5 adults, 2 toddlers, and an infant, and it worked great for our group. The bedrooms are very comfortable and decorated beautifully. The bathrooms were clean. The common spaces were also clean and comfortable and the “open” feel of the house was perfect for the setting. The staff that manage the house locally were friendly and responsive, and it was great to have the cleaning service come a couple times a week to wash towels, wipe down the bathrooms, etc. The house felt very safe, and we liked being in an area of town where we saw both locals as well as other tourists. It’s about a 15 minute walk or 3-4 minute drive down to the main areas of Bucerias where the beach is and where there are lots of restaurants and bars. There’s also easy access to other cities and towns nearby, and it was fun to explore Puerto Vallarta, Punta de Mita, and Sayulita. We loved everything about the town and the house and hope to come back next year!!

Beautiful home. Lots of space for everyone. Comfortable beds, linens, etc. Everything kept clean and any questions were quickly addressed. We enjoyed the house being in a Mexican neighbourhood because we wanted the children to experience a bit of Mexico from the corner grocery store, the children going to school in uniforms, chatting in Spanish, dogs, roosters and parties. All of it, including the noise. The walk to the beach was about 15 minutes... then a cab home for P30 at the end of the day.

I would definitely stay here again everything was super clean the hospitality was on point. And Rafael the host was phenomenal.

Lara's house is beautiful, the service provided by Lara's staff is excellent, Gabriel was very attentive to our needs, everything was very clean, the pool water was always warm, the rooms were very comfortable, the basic amenities were excellent, and the beaches of Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta are very close. I have so much to say about Casa Alegría that I don't think I would be able to finish 😁 My family and I had an excellent vacation.

Nice place. Location is not in tourist area and a bit of a walk to the beach. We took a lot of $3 Uber’s, so it wasn’t that big of deal. Villa is well stocked with everything you need.

Beautiful property! All inclosed and safe. The pool was warm and the house was very well equipped with everything you need to cook if you feel like it. It’s close to downtown Bucerias and the local restaurant Miguel’s was awesome! It’s definitely a true Mexican feel and you get to experience the people around you. The staff is exceptional for sure. If you have a large group, this is the place for you to stay .

Lara's villa is a great place to enjoy your family vacations. What you see in the description is accurate, but is much more! You'll be enchanted with the everything it offers: spacious, private, fully equipped, comfortable, beautiful hacienda touch, and in great conditions. The beach is reachable by short walk or drive. The house is located at a popular neighborhood, but safe and with small grocery stores nearby. Bucerias beach is also nice and very enjoyable. Lara and the house manager were kind and very easy to communicate with. In summary, I fully recommend Lara's little paradise :)

You would not need to leave the house 'cuz at Lara's place you will have everything you need. Our family enjoyed the house and its pool A LOT. We didnt want to leave.

Our family of 11 enjoyed this beautiful home. It is clean and the maintenance staff is very friendly. It is well furnished and everything works great. The pool was very fun. The beach and downtown plaza with shopping and restaurants is only a few blocks away.
