Probably the best place we’ve ever stayed! Mateo the host, was amazing, willing to help anywhere needed. Location was perfect. House was even more beautiful than shown in the pictures. We will definitely be back soon!

The location within the complex is perfect, just a few meters from the beach. Some utensils are missing in the kitchen and others in poor condition, but still resolves. Super personalized Matt's attention, responded to every query, the first day, we had ants invasion, he immediately responded. The house in general is fine, but you can definitely see the passage of time, the pool, the floors and bathrooms are quite worn, a point that is compensated a little for the good cleanliness of the house. The balance of the stay is positive.

We had an awesome week at villa colorados, the house is just a short stroll to the beach and has everything you need. We got the catering which was delicious and just what you need when you’re spending the days surfing. Matteo was very helpful with any questions we had before and during our stay, helping organize shuttles to and from the airport/ boat trip to another surf break/ golf buggy to cruise around Iguana. Would definitely come back.

Judy’s son Mateo was a 10/10 host. Very responsive and made the trip a blast. Felt super comfy in villa Colorados and I will be recommending Mateo to many friends. All around great time.

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Colorados. The house was even more beautiful than it looks in the photos. The location was also great, just a few minutes walk from the beach. Judy and Mateo were really responsive and quickly address any questions or requests. I would really recommend staying at Villa Colorados.

Judy was a wonderful host. Perfect beach house at a gorgeous beach. House was clean, comfortable. Mateo is local and was incredibly helpful during our stay.

Hands down the best vacation me and my friends have experienced. From start to finish we couldn’t feel more at home with Mateo and his crew who all felt like family. We had a group of seven for a bachelor surf trip and despite having a big group every one of us felt completely taken care of. The house was even more gorgeous in person, the food was incredible, the photography was great and transportation was punctual. Everything was well organized thanks to Mateo and his team which meant we were able to surf as much as possible while relaxing as much as possible. 10/10 would recommend! Thanks guys!

This place is awesome and exactly as advertised. We got all the food and extra bells and whistles and everything was delicious and as advertised. The house is plenty close to the water to walk to the surf. Mateo is the man and always available and helpful. We were here for a bachelor party and were definitely not the best guests and he was cool and hospitable nonetheless. Could not recommend this place more and definitely use the shuttles and get the food!

Just returned from an incredible stay at Villa Colorados. Full disclosure, this was my first Airbnb rental, so suffice to say, I was a bit nervous renting a house in a foreign country. Judy (owner) was very responsive and put my fears at ease. Her son Mateo lives on-site and is a great source of help for whatever you need. Pre-trip, Mateo arranged for a cook, rental bikes and surf lessons. I will concur with other reviewers on this site and VRBO, that having Mateo arrange for a private cook is a must. We had Sandra and everything she cooked was amazing. She set the menu, but that was fine by me. We did breakfast and dinners, no lunch. Honestly both meals were so filling, my family couldn't eat much more than a snack for lunch so it worked out perfectly. We initially also rented a golf cart, but given the house's location, you don't need it to walk to the beach or to the main retail/golf area. I do however recommend getting bikes. The house is everything you see in the pictures. We have two young children (5 & 7) and they loved playing in the pool and playing poolside foozball. Pila's beach bar is fun for happy hour or to get food if you don't have a cook. Pila's even has a pool and playground area so the kids can have fun while the adults have adult beverages. Although my impression is that Hacienda Iguana is mostly people visiting to surf the great waves, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this vacation spot to anyone regardless of whether you surf or not. One tip, bring plenty of cash. Although you can use credit cards for golf or at the markets (which are small so don't depend on them to provide all provisions if you don't get a cook), everything else - surf lessons, bikes, cook - are cash only including Pila's becah bar.

My best airbnb by far!! The house is amazing, has everything to make you feel at home, staff is so friendly and on it, the beach is one of the best to surf in Nicargua.. could not ask for anything else!! Judy and family where amazing responding to the needs within seconds.. Please do not hesitate twice, if this house is available go for it!! I never give reviews but this time it merits one!! Best vacation ever!!! The house has everything, do not need to bring nothing at all, just 200 fts from the ocean.. you can rent for 40$ a golf cart and you are set!! Thanks judy for everything!!! We had a great vacation in Nicaragua and the house and the host were a big part of it!! We are a family of 5 (including 3 kids aged 13, 11, 8). The house is located within the gated community of Hacienda Iguana which offered conveniences such as ATM, grocery store, restaurants, surf board rental shops and security. Meanwhile, the house felt very private and it was just a hop from the beach. My two older kids and I surf and the beach offered two awesome breaks (Playa Colorados and Panga Drops)! We were able to surf couple times a day and easily join the non surfing members of the family back in the house. By the way, the beach was gorgeous especially during sunrise and sunset. The house was very well equipped with a great pool, ping pong table, and a foosball table among other things. The house is well kept with all the modern conveniences and simple and elegant decor. The host (Mateo) was extremely helpful with arranging airport transfers, a great chef who cooked 4 days for us, drivers, day trips, surf lessons/coaching, massages, and horseback riding, just to name a few. He was always ready to help us and make our stay better! He was also my surfing coach and I have him to thank for my awesome surfing experience. He coached me with much patience and expertise. We highly recommend Villa Colordos to anyone but especially families with kids and/or surfers!

The house and setting is pristine. We traveled as a family for Christmas and are already discussing when we can go back. Mateo was extremely helpful and everything was seamless. He arranged for massages at the house and even had a neighbor check in on us since he was traveling. We also had Sandra (chef) cook for us and the food was among the best we had while in nicaragua. Her gallopinto was next level and she could not have been sweeter. The house itself is perfect for groups. Each bedroom is very private and the indoor/outdoor living room and pool was an amazing hang out spot. The beach is a very short walk (5 min) away and is one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever been on. The beach bar is a great spot and Pili (runs beach bar and the restaurant there) makes amazing food which we had for lunch many days. There is so much to do around the house in hacienda iguana (bikes, surfing, 9 hole golf course, horseback riding etc.) but it's just as easy to relax and do nothing. Thank you for making our Christmas one of the best yet. We can't wait to come back!
