This accomodation was so unique. It was open air except for the two bedrooms/bathrooms. They were air conditioned. We loved the private spa and used it often becuase it was raining. The grounds are my favorite part of this stay. It's like you are staying in the jungle, and you are! We would definately come back. The staff was top knotch kind and helpful. The only negative was our communication with Pablo. Twice I asked questions/recommendations about the unit as well as tours and such and did not receive a response. I only received the stock response upon check in and move out until the day before we arrived and we messaged to give an arrival time and he responded.
Better than the price we paid. Great place for introduction to Costa Rica. We felt secure, had good restaurant food on grounds, saw a huge variety of animals around us and helpful employees who spoke great English.

Everything was great; the house was perfect, the only thing is... It's just that it's very far from everything; there aren't many supermarkets nearby. Apart from that, everything was very good.
Casa del Rio is an excellent place to stay in La Fortuna if you are travelling as a group. We travelled as a family of 1 senior, 2 adult couples, and 2 kids (but it can fit more). It was located in a gated resort a 2-3 min drive from the shopping area, so it felt safe and was quite and convenient. It was clean, beautiful and everything worked as it should (including the AC units in every bedroom and the washer/dryer.) The shared space was large, the pool was very well maintained and the lush greenery was amazing - nicer than the pics. Parking was easy (we had 2 SUVs) and the breakfast was great. It was served in a restaurant about 2-3 minute walk from 6:30-9:30am, and you could pick from 8-10 meals. My kids also loved a water slide on the resort property. Lastly, the people working there were so friendly. They were welcoming and helpful, including bringing us breakfast-to-go at 6am one morning because we had to leave early on an excursion. We had a great time a would definitely return.

We truly enjoyed Casa del Rio! It was quiet, beautiful, clean and all staff were so friendly, helpful & professional. The town of La Fortuna was close and convenient and had plenty of stores, restaurants, sodas etc... We had an amazing trip staying here. We would 100% recommend anyone to visit. Thank you all for an amazing experience in Costa Rica!
The Casa Del Rio worked well for our family of 7. We felt the place is a little tired and needs a revampThe private pool was lovely and the place is in a good position to see local attractions. Our comments relate to cleanliness - plates in the kitchen were dirty, the bathroom was a bit dusty and smelt damp.

We fell in love with this house! The beach is super private! The house is super comfortable! The man who takes care of the house explained everything to us very well and was super attentive to what we needed! It's super equipped! We'll be back again, we fell in love ❤️

We had a lovely stay at Casa del Rio! The property feels very safe and is close enough to all the main attractions. We’re a family of four, and there was plenty of space for all of us. Waking up to the sounds of the jungle was such a fun experience. From our room we saw many birds, monkeys, frogs, fish, and more. The jacuzzi worked perfectly, and we enjoyed it every night. We also treated ourselves to a massage at the facility and dined at the restaurant both were great experiences. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately our experience was very negative. We paid the full amount that Airbnb told us at the time of booking and at no time were we informed that we had to pay an additional payment upon arrival. When we arrived at the place, he told us that the payment was only a "down payment" and that we had to pay an extra amount, which was never previously communicated. We explained that this was an error outside of our control and that we simply complied with the price published on the platform. They did not give us the room, so we had to leave without being able to apply the reservation. We consider it the host's responsibility to respect the posted price and to assume any errors in their billing system. I wouldn't go or recommend it to anyone else.

Amazing place ! It exceeded all of our expectations! The sounds at night were magical! Slept so good! So fun to cook and hot tub outside. Would definitely stay here again. Great for our family and kids.
I feel that the description of this house is not detailed and clear in the listing. This is a very open layout with the kitchen and living area open to the outside with no available doors to shut to close the indoors out. There are bugs and birds (and bats) that come into the kitchen and living area. The bedrooms are all separate and do not have locks on the outside of the bedroom door, and one room wouldn’t close from the outside, letting critters in when not in the room to be able to lock the door. There was a main garage door that did lock the rest of the house off. You cannot park at the house, but rather use the resort parking and then walk a few minutes to the house. Some people may love this open living concept, but I think that the details need to clearer in the listing. Bathrooms/kitchen are not updated and hot water was rare. Not worth the price. The location of the house was great. We liked the resort and the staff was great. Breakfast was good.

We had a wonderful time at the Remanso Villa! The sound of the river, the surrounding rainforest, and the pond all contributed to a very relaxing atmosphere. Everyone on the property was friendly and attentive, and the location was very close to the zip lines and ATVs. The restaurant on the grounds offered a beautiful view of the Arenal Volcano!

Great place, Ismael was very attentive.
I would give this home 100 stars if I could. The house and resort well exceeded our expectations. We have been doing family trips for five years and we all decided this was our favorite property yet. The home was so unique, with an open-air atrium, plenty of swings and hammocks, four clean and well appointed bedrooms/bathrooms, a huge kitchen with everything we needed, and a beautiful outdoor space with private pool, two tables, pool floats and foosball. The resort was gorgeous and peaceful. We were some of the only guests there. Our kids loved the water slide, big pool and hot tub. The restaurant was delicious, with daily breakfast included. We also ate there for lunch and dinner and were blown away. Overall we had a perfect stay!
