Nadiah’s place was absolutely breathtaking. Pictures truly do not do it justice. The home is situated on a mountain surrounded by jungle and overlooking the beach. Despite the secluded location, it’s only about a 8 minute drive down to the beach and the small local restaurants. Our stay was lovely and Nadiah was incredibly helpful and responsive. Pavones is a fairly secluded area so this location is great for anyone who enjoys nature, wildlife, and beautiful beach sunsets. The surf was incredible and we were even able to book a fun boat tour last minute. Will definitely return!

A beautiful place; the view is breathtaking! Super quiet, and the setting is unbeatable—surrounded by a completely natural environment, you feel immersed in it, and it's utterly relaxing! The house is beautiful, with delightful details! Excellent hosts! I appreciate all the help provided. We hope to be back soon!!!

We had a beautiful stay in Pavones—this home is truly special. The view is incredible, especially at sunset, and we saw toucans and guacamayas every day, which made it feel magical. The house is comfortable and well done—beds were great, the pool was perfect for relaxing, and the outdoor shower was a highlight. We surfed Pilón every day (about a 20-minute drive), and also loved nearby spots—La Piña has great pizza (even gluten-free), and La Choza de Gaby is absolutely delicious and worth the drive. As others have mentioned, a 4-wheel-drive vehicle is needed. We’d absolutely come back.

Since we arrived, we fell in love with the place. The view is spectacular: the jungle surrounding the house and the ocean in front, with a beautiful infinity pool. The sunsets are simply unforgettable. The house is very comfortable and has everything you need for a perfect stay. The master bedroom, with its tub and view, was one of our favorite spaces. Also, we were lucky enough to see toucans and macaws, which the whole family loved. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and got a restful night's sleep. Definitely a place that is totally worth it, especially for people like me who love sunsets!! ♥️

Our stay at Nadiah’s house was a really great experience. The view is incredible, beautiful sunset by the pool , the jungle , just stunning ! The house itself is a very well maintained space , great spaces maybe missing some cupboard in one of the room but that was the only down point …. If we had to find one . Thanks again ! We will definitely come back !

This home is has a stunning view that is well worth the 4WD access only road. Best sunsets ever! Abundant birdlife visiting the poolside daily, monkeys in the trees and very comfortable AC and beds! In general the home was well maintained but a little bit empty with necessities. No bedside tables, no closets or anywhere to put clothes, no spare toilet paper, no body wash, shampoo or conditioner, personal items in closets/showers, fridge filter wasn’t working and some items in kitchen were broken or lower quality. A few thoughtful upgrades would make this place worth the price. Unfortunately, the water pump stopped working on our third day and we were asked to leave due to safety issues. The host initially was supportive, but was ultimately unresponsive and we had to contact Airbnb directly to receive the appropriate refund. While we really enjoyed the location, we were not hosted well at all. Hopefully this situation will be resolved quickly and we wish all the best for Nadiah.

Bedside tables, closet space, and room layouts are clearly visible in the images, and the property matches what is shown. La Joya Del Sur operates on a private well system, and water conservation is disclosed as important. When the pump burnt up and stopped working, we acted immediately. A technician was dispatched, and out of caution we offered relocation options and coordinated directly with Airbnb to ensure unused nights were refunded promptly. We also offered assistance with nearby alternative accommodations to minimize disruption. All communication was handled through Airbnb so everything was properly documented and resolved. The 4x4 vehicle requirement is clearly disclosed in the listing. We remain committed to maintaining the property to a high standard and addressing any issues quickly.

Nadiah’s place looks amazing in photos but in real life it’s something else! The view is absolutely breathtaking. Property itself is thoughtfully designed, modern and airy, and comes furnished with everything you might need for your stay. We will absolutely be back here. Pool deck is the real star of the show with a nice sized pool overlooking the ocean and providing the most beautiful sunsets. Location is very private and absolutely worth the drive up. Be advised you will need a real 4x4 to get up comfortably. We rented a Land Cruiser and never had any issues on the road up. Pavones in general is my new favorite place in Costa Rica. People are friendly and living the Pura Vida! This place is free from major hotels and resorts, if you’re into supporting the local businesses like we are, you will enjoy it. We went surfing with Coco who runs a company called Cocodrone. Highly recommend him for your surfing lessons.

My family and I LOVED our stay at this beautiful oasis on the mountain. It had been years since my husband and I had stayed at Pavones.... and this was the perfect way to come revisit the town and show its beauty to our two boys (10 and 13). A short drive to the beach for some surf and evenings poolside watching the sunset and coming storms. We would def stay here again. Clean, comfy, great hosts.

Stayed here for one week as a home base to surf Pavones. 4 wheel drive definitely required for access but once at the property we had a stunning view of the jungle and ocean. About 10 mins to Pavones beach and another 10 to Punta Banco. Modern amenities provided, excellent kitchen, pool, and bedrooms. However, we had several properties prolonged instances of power outages and one instance of wifi outage which Nadiah was available for help with, so the property is not entirely reliable for either service. No back up generator on site. Could also use dressers for clothing storage. Overall, great location in the rugged surf town of Pavones and generally satisfied with our stay.

What a spectacular home. We so enjoyed our stay at Nadiah’s! The setting is idyllic- private, so comfortable and yet close to the town. What a treat and we will definitely be back!

Fantastic place with a magic view and amazing pool. Everything was perfect there, we loved it with our 3 little boys. The access is super challenging so anticipate it with a good car but the reward is spectacular…
