My husband and I hosted 20 close adult friends for our joint birthday celebration for 3 days, and it was just an incredible time. The pool is incredible - beautiful and very functional, allowing for relaxation and partying. The little pier was such an amazing place to share meals. The rooms are very comfortable and private. Amenities are also great - we used the kayaks and sups, the boys played bball, and some used the gym. Daniel is an amazing chef and helped us with logistics and stocking drinks! And Sarah is an impeccable communicator, always so friendly, responsive and detail oriented. We could not have asked for a better place to celebrate, this was so much better than staying at the larger resorts - intimate, curated and actually quite good value as well. Thank you so much!!

We enjoyed a four-generation family vacation at Sunset Island Resort, and while the photos and description are impressive, the experience exceeded our expectations in every way. Communication with Sarah before our arrival was warm and welcoming, setting the tone for the entire stay. The resort was even more spectacular in person, with incredible attention to detail and a stunning location—complete with whales swimming in the bay, visible from the infinity pool. Everyone on the resort was outstanding, from the housekeepers and grounds crew to the bartender, Chef Daniel, and his team. A special mention goes to Chef Daniel, who not only prepared truly exceptional meals but was always available to answer questions and assist us. He even coordinated a baby turtle release for our group, which was an unforgettable experience for guests of all ages. This was one of the most memorable family vacations we’ve ever had—my only complaint is that it ended far too soon.

This place was the perfect spot to host a a large group of friends. The service is excellent, the food is fantastic and the attention to detail is very good. Sarah and Daniel are awesome and super helpful. I highly recommend!

An unforgettable experience

10 out of 10, one of the best places I've ever stayed! My children were happy, as was the whole family who accompanied us. Sara was very helpful at all times, she answered all my questions and was very kind at all times! Daniel was our chef, a person with the best disposition and joy that I could have met. He recommended places to visit and helped us have an amazing day of fishing by boat! I would definitely come back to this place a thousand times! Thank you from my whole family for such a nice vacation!

Our stay was great. We used the property for business meetings and it was perfect. Very private resort. Great living spaces, pool, great view, wonderful staff. Sarah and Daniel were absolutely incredible. Grateful for their hospitality responsiveness, and communication. Would stay here again for sure and would recommend it to others.

This place is perfect. We stayed for five nights with our friends and family. We paid for the chef services (which everyone was super impressed with). We did a bunch of excursions with Augustine (who is amazing and extremely knowledgeable). We also had massages on the pier which was very peaceful. This place is quite a bit outside of PV, but is perfect if you are wanting a chill and local vibe. There is an amazing coffee stand within a 10 min walk which also opens at night and is next to a churro stand! There is space for everyone to spread out but also plenty of areas to gather and hang out.

Puesta del Sol was the perfect oasis for a family reunion of 24+ people ranging in ages of 22 months to 87 years old. Each villa is uniquely designed and decorated with an ocean theme. The resort allowed for many places to congregate in small or large groups as well as quiet places to retreat. The sunset views are amazing and worthy of many photo moments!! Chef Daniel and resort caretaker is not only a good cook but also a very attentive and responsive caretaker. We even got a lesson on how to cook a Chocolate Mole! We highly recommend his chef service. A 15 minute walk to town offers a local cafe (one of the groups favorite outdoor coffee spot was 2 blocks away), vino, beer and food stores along the way to the center of town. During our stay, we enjoyed the weekly Thursday market, a boat trip to Coral Island to snorkel and a few of us took a taxi ride to San Pancho. All in all we highly recommend and will add this beautiful resort to our list of places to return in Mexico.

This place was incredible and exceeded every expectation! We loved the location- close enough to La Peñita everyday. We enjoyed sipping coffee each morning with incredible views and was so exciting to catch splashes from whales breaching!! Had plenty of beach and pool time, loved the kayaks. Chef Daniel was incredible and so friendly! Service was amazing..The perfect trip!

We stayed for a month and had our extended family with us and a bunch of kids. It had everything we could have needed, and any issues were dealt with right away. Daniel was our chef for the month/ also the property manager and he worked with us to accommodate a bunch of different dietary preferences and his food was exceptional. Well worth it. The only thing I wished was that the hot tub actually heated up properly because we had some times with bad weather and the pool was freezing but everything else was so amazing. We would 100% go back. The beach is basically private and the little town of La Penita is a close 10 min walk on the beach to stock up our fridges with fruit and snacks and anything we might need. We also had Aigustin take us on any tours we wanted and gave us great recommendations and he was always so helpful and friendly.

The location is unbeatable! Breathtaking ocean view, an easy 15 minute walk to a non-touristy town with reasonable prices and a fabulous Thursday market which fills the main square and neighboring streets. This place was perfect for our extended family. We opted to have lunch and dinner provided and were so glad we did. The chef, Daniel, was the best chef we have ever had. The food was varied and always had several dishes for our three vegetarians. He was always happy to include any of our suggestions. My five year old grandson loves to fish and after catching several fish from the pier, Daniel cooked them up for him. The beach is just down a staircase from the pool and great for even the smaller children. No big waves or undertow. The kitchens were not stocked with the basics, and tableware and pans are minimal - it didn’t matter to us since most of our meals were prepared for us. Staff was very responsive for anything we needed. We will definitely return!

We are beyond grateful to have chosen Jason’s Airbnb for our vow renewal—it was nothing short of magical. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the villas were even more stunning in person. Words can’t do justice to the beauty of this place! Jason and his team created a weekend we’ll cherish forever, handling every detail with such care and professionalism. From arranging the DJ, catering, cake, and bartender, to making sure every moment felt special, they went above and beyond. The staff’s warmth and dedication made us feel like family. Thank you for making our dream celebration a reality! We would come back in a heartbeat, forever in awe of this incredible place and team.

We had a large group of 21 people and it was the perfect space! We had so much fun, can’t wait to come back!

It's a great place and the truth is recommended

This place is beyond amazing. They allowed us to host a last-minute fundraising event for 6 families with small children. Our other place cancelled last-minute and we were desperate and so thankful they gave us their place to use. The kids loved the pool and toys and they even got us a boat for the kids to go snorkeling at the island. The giant gym and play area kept the kids busy the whole time. Mayela and Daniel and the owner were overly generous to us. Chef Daniel made us the most delicious gourmet meals that you would expect in Europe and eating in the pier over the waves made the whole experience.

Thank you so much Jason, Our stay was everything we wished for. All of us young and old (er) had the most wonderful time. Daniel and his crew couldn't have been more helpful; we enjoyed delicious meals and wonderful outings. He was responsive and made sure we had everything we needed, including putting up a volleyball net which our group really enjoyed ! The location of the resort is beautiful with safe ocean swimming and glorious sunsets. The villas are unique and lovely to stay in, and the pool area with the bar is a great place to come together during the day and in the evening. Thank you !

If you are looking for a turnkey tropical compound, this the place for you. Jason and his team go above and beyond to make sure our ever need was met. From the moment we booked, Mayela and Jason were in close contact with us, helping arrange private chef service, groceries on arrival, transportation, off site activities and giving the best local recommendations. Chef Daniel was able to prepare meals exactly to our liking and was even able to provide all the local tips and tricks, including finding us a local band to play by the pool. If cooking is your thing, each casita comes with a full kitchen and everything you would need to prepare a delicious meal yourself. As far as the property, I’ve never seen a building with such attention to detail. From the water features when you walk in, to the hand crafted wood working that goes into the cabinets/shelving/bathrooms, and of course the mesmerizing custom lighting design in each casita. I was blown away from start to finish. 5 stars.

We had a group of 23 family and friends, adults and teenagers get together for a 50th Birthday Party/Reunion at this amazing Luxe Villa. The views of the mountains, the sea and the islands were breathtaking. The photos of the swimming pool do not do it justice. Chef Daniel cooked up 2 meals a day and varied the cuisines and kept everyone happy and satiated; he honored our celiac disease friend by always making sure there was a gluten-free option available. The local seafood and freshly made tortillas were a welcomed part of the meal every day. The staff were friendly. We used the jacuzzi, the bar, the gym, the basketball court, the beach, the paddle boards, kayaks, dart boards, pool table, corn hole, poker table, bikes, and bodyboards. Each villa was unique and well maintained. We will absolutely be returning to this special place. Pura Vida en Mexico!

This was the perfect holiday get away! Our Group of 23, was made up of 4 families with our ages ranging from 50 to 15. The Villas and Resort were absolutely beautiful, each one being a work of art! More than enough room for all of us. The staff was top notch, helping us with everything and anything that we needed. Mayella, Daniel and the rest of the staff were the nicest people. Augustine kept us entertained, taking us fishing, snorkelling and arranging our transportation for us whenever we needed him. Our wonderful driver would even take our kids in to town for ice cream and stay with them until they wanted to come home. The location was an easy 10 minute walk to the main area of town. There were numerous restaurants, bars and shopping, including the large market on Thursdays! This is one of the most beautiful resorts that I have stayed in and all 23 of us agreed that we loved it, and would definitely visit again! 5 Stars from us! Thank you Jason for a wonderful time!
