Our family of 11 had a lovely stay. The house is spacious, well lit, and decorated with beautiful works of art!

Very large and beautiful house. A great pool. And in an exclusive area.

Our stay was very good. The house is as shown in the photos: the spaces are large, it is very clean, and the mattresses are comfortable, so we rested very well. As aspects to consider, the pool water is cold and, if you wish to heat it, there is an additional cost. Also, the house is not that close to downtown; the trip is approximately 20 minutes by car without traffic. Overall, it was a very good option to stay, and we really enjoyed our stay.

The stay was great. We felt right at home. The pool was impeccable.

Absolutely a beautiful retreat! My family was in great need of a private and peaceful space with lots of room, and Lourdes’ house was just perfect! The view is amazing, the house is full of light, and all the additional services and staff were so welcoming. Especially the pool gets SO warm with the optional heating, it’s great for relaxing after a long day. Can’t recommend this home enough!

We spent a few extraordinary days at the house. The pool was super nice and functional, and with the heater, we were able to enjoy it to the fullest! The location is excellent, and the service provided by the people who help with the house is superb! We would definitely come back.

The place is amazing, very spacious and comfy. The pool is great and the open kitchen a delight. The staff is very friendly and the neighborhood is quiet and private.

Very tidy house, very nice decoration, the pool is nice and warm (although with an extra cost but it is advertised as such) and excellent service from the cleaning and amenities. Very happy with the stay and looking forward to returning in the future!

Spacious, comfortable, clean and very nice house. We would definitely come back, highly recommended! Just ignore the Google Maps instructions when entering Oaxaca. It's better to continue and enter through Colonia Reforma.

A very nice house and very friendly and helpful people in charge! After a hectic day it was a joy to come back . Just note that you need a car or taxi as it is far from Downtown . Sure come back!!

A spectacular place, perfect for families, impeccable

Lourdes and the team Nayeli and Jorge were wonderful in making our stay very comfortable and when we needed something (more water or even a microwave) it was there immediately. I want to thank Lourdes and team for a wonderful stay.

The house was great. My daughter and her friends had a really nice time and were extremely happy. I really liked the staff's service. They took care of any issue right away. Communication with the host was also flawless.

My family and I had a wonderful stay in Oaxaca, largely in part to the beautiful home. Each person had a nice size bedroom with their own bathroom. The living space was light, open and well designed for comfort. There are partial mountain views and lovely plantings that make the space really pleasant. We did use the pool several times. The pool is best in the first part of the day where the sun is directly overhead; later in the day there is shade over the pool area. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the towels were nice as well! The host was very responsive to all questions as well and provided us lots of useful information in advance. While walking to town is definitely not an option, the home provided an oasis after a day of sightseeing! I will add that we did drive to the center many times and parking can be stressful and limited. I would highly recommend this home for a wonderful visit to Oaxaca!

Great place to stay with children

Wow! The photos listed don't do this place justice. We loved having our little piece of paradise. The house was great for our family vacation which included fun in the pool, hours lounging in the multiple yards/decks surrounded by beautiful artwork and landscape, and peace and quite away from the city center. The staff and host was very attentive, helpful and responsible, we loved meeting Nayelhi, Osvaldo and Jorge. And we loved Xuncho!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Casa Lila. Attentive staff, beautiful home and well appointed. It was a perfect marriage of staying in a private home, but the services of a hotel. We loved the art everywhere and nice that breakfast is an option. Someone was always around and Zunko the dog was so wonderful as well. If you want to have a relaxing retreat away from the city center, I highly recommend. Personally, if your going to visit during Dia de los Muertos, I would recommend it as it can be a bit loud in the city. Very funny that many of the taxi drivers already knew of the house and it’s location. All we had to say was Casa Lila. The staff is great at calling a cab for you. We definitely plan on returning to Oaxaca and Casa Lila is where we plan on staying.

Beautiful house, spacious, full of details, with a wonderful view. It provides peace and quiet in its gardens and pool. Wonderful service from the staff and their excellent friendliness. Delicious, tasty, typical food with fresh and natural ingredients. Very happy, we plan to return some day

This was a lovely stay! There was daily basic cleaning and the opportunity for add-ons. We took advantage of the add-on breakfast and one day of heated pool (strategically used on our "rest day" when we stayed in the house). The ladies who made breakfast Naiellis and Patria were wonderfully friendly and efficient. Meals were both traditional and delicious. Jorge, the grounds keeper, was extemely attentive. We used the recommended taxi driver to pick up our family of 9 which was convenient since we didn't make plans until the day before. The house is lovely; art work was inspiringly well curated. The pool could use repainting but was clean when we arrived and cleaned daily. Shallow pool perfect for kids & loungers. Loved the open concept of the home (huge glass sliding doors that open into the patio/pool area). Wished there was a microwave. Internet was great (I had to work remotely for 2 days of our stay. Connection was strong & stable) Lourdes very responsive. Highly recommend!

Casa Lila was amazing! Everyone in our group loved it. We felt right at home. The staff, from Nayelli to Jorge and Osvaldo, were very friendly and helpful. They make you feel right at home. Our host (Lourdes) was available for any questions we had. Casa Lila was very representative of Oaxacan culture. From it’s own botanical garden to the art work (paintings, sculptures, black pottery, Alebrijes) inside the house. All five bedrooms, conveniently, had their own bathroom. The swimming pool is good size and has an are for the kiddos. The game room comes with a foosball table and a pool table. The area it’s located in is very private and only located 10-15 minutes from Centro Historico. I highly recommend Casa Lila. It is a gem. If your plan to visit Oaxaca, do yourself a favor and book this beautiful house. You won’t regret it.

Beautiful house, very friendly service, everything was excellent

Casa Lila was an amazing home for our group of four adults and two kids--and it could easily accommodate more. Luxurious and nicely appointed with beautiful local art, but it still felt comfortable and relaxed. The staff was amazing, and Nayhelly's daily brunch was well worth the small additional cost. The villa was within a very secure development--probably the nicest in all of Oaxaca. An extremely nice property, if you're looking for a place to get away from the bustle of the city center. It is a bit of a cab ride to/from el Centro, so not the kind of place you can bounce back and forth to during the course of a day. One small critique is that the wifi was a bit spotty. All in all, highly recommended. Oh! And the highlight of course was the house dog, Zunco! Everyone immediately fell in love with him. He always joined us whenever we were outside, and greeted us every morning.

Lourdes’ place is further from town. However, it was perfect for the trip my family and I had planned. It’s just a 5-10 minute taxi ride into town when you want to be in the action and far enough away to allow for rest. She communicates quickly and provided recommendations for things to do as well as places to eat. Thanks for the wonderful stay.

We spent an incredible five days at Villa Chapulines. We were two families (8 persons total) and Villa Chapulines was the perfect size for us, including our 3 teenagers. Our teens really enjoyed the pool and the privacy they had from having their own room. We’d definitely stay again if we’re back in Oaxaca.

Beautiful home to stay!

The house was great and the staff was extremely responsive, easy to reach and get help when needed- for example arrangement for a taxi very early in the morning. House is expansive and comfortable and has wonderful original artwork. We felt safe and secure and appreciated the home environment and pool. The only suggestions would be a microwave, address in front of the house for ease of locating it (people were immediately available to guide us) and a pillowtop for the king mattress to make it a little less hard. Overall would highly recommend the stay and would do it again!! Thank you very much for a great stay.

Casa Lila is a wonderful place for a family retreat in Oaxaca City -- spacious, open, light-filled, with nice outdoor space and pool, lots of room to spread out, all while being a short ride form the centre. The house staff were friendly and helpful (including house dog Xunco). It was a wonderful base for our time to Oaxaca.

The Property was great for our needs. It was clean and staffed. The staff was always taking care of all our needs. We wanted for nothing while in our stay here. But for us, the most crucial part was that it was pet friendly! Our dogs 🐕 had a blast too! Next time we are in Oaxaca, we will try to stay here again.

What a gem of a property! Huge, amazing amenities, fantastic location with gated security just north of El Centro Oaxaca. Best of all, the staff Nayhely and Osvaldo were amazing, and our kids loved the guard dog Sunco! Highly recommend this property, we will stay here every time we come back to Oaxaca!

A very lovely house in a great area. The pool was a plus for the kids. The women who took care of the house were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We opted to have breakfast made for us which was delicious, filling, and a real treat.

This house was an excellent choice. We are a large family and the house has very comfortable rooms. The house is full of artwork and is very nice. In addition, the pool is heated, and there was always excellent communication. The staff was always attentive to all our needs.

This house has it al. Definitely get the cooking service. It is well worth the money. Our kids loved the pool and pool table. This is an excellent location not too far from the city center but far enough to get the peace and quiet. We’ll be back!

Great stay! Beautiful spot a bit outside of the center of Oaxaca City. Easy to get to the center, but also nice to stay somewhere secluded and spacious. Would definitely recommend! Cleaning staff was so kind and helpful, as where the men who worked at the house though they were sometimes difficult to get into contact with.

Beautiful home. Very specious. It was about a 10-15 min drive to downtown. Lourdes was very responsive and accommodating to our needs. We were a family of 9 and we didn’t feel overcrowded at all.

The house is amazing. Very spacious and luxurious. It has everything to make an amazing stay in Oaxaca with big families. The kids loved the swimming pool. The house has all the possible amenities. It’s 10-15min from the city center in a security-controlled wonderful neighborhood. Nayheli, Oswaldo and Oscar make you feel very welcome and make your stay very comfortable.

The house has beautiful decor. The only thing missing is a microwave. The service is excellent, the closets are spacious, the rooms are very well laid out, and above all, it's very centrally located, just 10 minutes from the Zócalo. It's located in a gated community with security where they don't let just anyone in, and they really check when you enter. They're always in communication with you. I highly recommend this property.

Casa Lila is the perfect place to stay while in Oaxaca. My family had such a great time and everything was perfect. Lourdes is quick to reply and she’s very nice. The house personnel were amazing. Breakfast was so delicious! Thank you Lourdes and Casa Lila staff. Y’all made this trip perfect!

There are not enough words to describe how perfect this house is. From the awesome layout, to the pool and every single piece of Oaxacan art make the stay at this house worth every penny. DEFINITELY get the cooking service, Nayhelly is absolutely wonderful amd accommodating. Not to mention, her traditional dishes are to die for. The daily housekeeping was nice since they were able to bring out more pool towels when needed. Mr Jorge and Osvaldo were super helpful when calling for taxis or ordering late night food delivery. The house is very spacious and comfortable, and absolutely beautiful. It is very safe and a high end neighborhood and close enough to the city center to explore the richness Oaxaca has to offer. Will definitely be staying at one of Lourdes' properties next time I get the honor of returning to Oaxaca ❤️

Have a good stay

I am going to miss staying in this amazing home. It was comfortable, roomy, cool and had a great pool. The decore of the home was beautiful!! The best thing about the home are the staff. Naylie, Jorge and Oswaldo. They were so helpful, kind, informative and patient. Naylie was amazing! She is a great cook, answered all our questions, helpful, and patient. Naylie educated us on the native food of Oaxaca, culture and was always so open in answering our questions or addressed any concerns we had right away. She was a highlight of our trip. Lourdes was a great host. Answered all my questions in a timely manner, provided information about local restaurants and COVID testing sites. She was flexible and overall I highly recommend her home.

This was our second stay at Casa Lila and it is a magical place. The property is perfect, clean, safe and beautiful. The service and meals from Nayhelly are wonderful and highlight local foods and flavors. Jorge and Humberto are also great and do lots to help make it and enjoyable stay. We will be back again for a third stay at Casa Lila as soon as possible.

This is an amazing house with plenty of room to spread out. The cook is very good at her job (completely recommend it) and the guards are very helpful whenever they are needed. Lourdes responds to questions quickly any time of day and they all have plenty of suggestions if you are unsure of what to do or where to go. The pictures do not do this house justice as it is a very beautiful home. We very much enjoyed our stay there and would love to return.

Lourdes was always attentive from our arrival and attended to all my requests for information. Equally his suggestions of where to go and that we should know. Excellent. The super well equipped house is very nice and comfortable, with all the amenities and more. The family had a great time in the pool and the game room. We started the year very comfortably

This stay was beyond our expectations! We loved this house. There were nine of us in the house and plenty of room to spread out and enjoy ourselves. The views of the mountains are awesome. The pool was a welcome respite. We took advantage of the cooking service and the pool heating and regret nothing. Both the security guard and the woman who cleaned and cooked were very nice and extremely helpful! We had a few Spanish speakers in our group, which helped very much. If you don’t speak Spanish expect to use a lot of Google translate to speak with them. The security guard was very helpful with getting taxis, as this is a gated community. Felt very safe and will definitely go back!

What a lovely home! We thoroughly enjoyed Casa Lila. Had all the amenities we needed and more….lovely pool, security guard, cleaning daily, gym, and such a beautifully designed space filled with amazing artwork. It was hard to leave the home!

The house is in a great location, with the best mountain view in Oaxaca. The house is beautifully decorated with Mexican art and very comfortable. Big enough to host 10 guests with plenty of space to do your own thing. All staff is very friendly and Nayheli's food is very good. Lourdes was always at reach and solving any possible issue. Truly recommend this property for big families or group of friends. would live to go back to Casa Lila in the future.

Casa Lila is a gem in Oaxaca! The photos don't do that place as magical and incredibly as the city. Nayely and Jorge are excellent people! If they have a chance to stay at this place, don't hesitate to do so. Highly recommended!

We had such a great experience at Casa Lila. We rented the whole property and were amazed at how spacious, comfortable, and well equipped it is. It was a large group and we never felt cramped in the house, everyone had his/her own space and were able to have alone and group time. The people at the house were always helpful, respectful, and accommodating. Lourdes is such a great host, responding promptly to our questions/requests. The house is not far from downtown, a short car or taxi ride will do. The views from every room in the house are amazing; we made the best of it and tried to enjoy It as much as we could. We wouldn't hesitate for a second to return and stay there again. But by far, Xhunco, the house dog, will make sure you have a wonderful stay at Casa Lila!!!

Extraordinary home with beautiful art, an excellent place from which to explore Oaxaca. It's private and relaxing- a bit out from the Centro, so best to have a car or be prepared to use taxis

A perfect place to enjoy with family, although it is a little far from the center (15 min. by car) the stay is wonderful, free of noise, comfortable and pleasant spaces, unparalleled attention and cleanliness, I recommend it! 🤩

Our stay was perfect! Casa Lila is amazing and you can’t really grasp the layout and beauty of it from photos. The staff on-site were wonderful and helpful, yet never imposing on our private family vacation time. The house has a spectacular collection of art from local Oaxacan artists and just feels special in every room. Nayhelly cooked breakfast for us daily and served unique local dishes that you won’t find elsewhere, as well as requests for our children. Jorge and Osvaldo were there 24-7 at the door, helping us get cabs and even ordering pizza for late-night snacks. We had 8 people in the house and there was plenty of room for more, this property is a gem in Oaxaca and we will be back again.
