This is a unique old house with rustic charm and a wonderful big balcony on the second floor for hanging out. It has an unconventional floor plan, in that each of the rooms is separate; you get from one to the other via the balcony. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and an a/c unit. This was a great arrangement for our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teenagers). My husband loves modern design and appreciated its architectural features: the exposed rafters, the cantilevered roof with clerestory windows, the decorative wood framing in the kitchen. The house has a great central location in Nosara near Playa Guiones - a bustling neighborhood during the day but quiet at night, and just a five minute walk to the beach. The downstairs neighbors (and their dogs) were friendly and helpful. Lovely sunsets, great surfing, and numerous jungle trails were some of the highlights of our visit!

We enjoyed our stay and the place is very unique, with original details. A special highlight was sweet Cosi, puppy, who lived downstairs ❤️ To note: - This is shown in the listing, but it's important to know that all rooms are separate and accessed from the balcony/ deck area. - The AC worked well in each individual room. - The common area is the big dining table and small kitchen or the outside couch area shown (make sure you have mosquito repellent 🦟!) - Good spot for location and access to the beach. - Limited cooking options, a cooktop, no oven.

Great location and nice air conditioning

Great location, walking distance to the beach, makets, restaurants. comfortable bedrooms both with good bathrooms. I only wish the kitchen was a little bit more equipped. I recommend this place

Casa Van Wilpe is a great classic surf house! Great location in the middle of town across from Frog Pad for surf board rentals and easy walk to beach. Three rooms with AC (2 bedrooms and one kitchen/ dining space) with large glass sliding doors. Connected by covered porch at front and rear with seating and hammocks. The porch is the communal hang out space. Kitchen is a bit bare bones and no hot water. Hot water in showers. Easy walk for coffee, smoothies, etc. Highly recommend Posada Margarita! Andres was a great host and quick to respond when messaged for a few things. Recommend the house for people coming to surf, chill, and want easy walking options!

This house could not be in a better location. Walking distance to the beach, restaurants, mini mart and yoga. Andre is very easy to communicate with and very accommodating.

Casa Van Wilpe was a very cozy stay. It was very clean and the grounds are well maintained. If we needed anything, our host was accommodating. Casa Van Wilpe is close to restaurants, stores and a 5 minute walk to the beach. At night, it is very peaceful. We would most definitely stay there again.

Really nice location to the beach and restaurants. We're looking forward to returning.
