This is a great location for exploring the nearby waterfall, swimming hole, "restaurant row," Awake wellness events, and Quantum Cacao. One of my favorite parts was the creek on the property. I refreshed myself there every day. Shawna went the extra mile to make the stay comfortable by providing local recommendations and helping with favors when needed. She was very caring and attentive, and truly felt like a mom away from home.

The stay was fine, but the location in the app is not correct, we were lost because the location on the map indicates another place. We had a small technical problem with the car and asked the host for help since we are not from the area, however, the response was negative and curt. In the end we were able to solve it on our own. And finally, we received a last-minute room change, indicating that it was an upgrade since it had air conditioning, but the air did not work properly during the time we were in the room.

We know that on a few of our listings, AirBnb has not been able to get our location correct, which is why we note that in the first line of our listing, and in all of our confirmation messages. When you reached out, we were happy to communicate in real time and share detailed directions and map to help guide you in. We’re always here to help with arrival if needed! We’re also sorry if our message about the jumper cables felt short, that was not our intention. We simply don’t have that equipment available on the property, but always try to respond as promptly and helpfully as we can. Regarding the room upgrade with A/C, we weren’t aware during your stay that it wasn’t functioning properly, and we absolutely would have taken care of it right away had we known. We truly appreciate feedback and always encourage guests to reach out during their stay so we can make things right in the moment. Wishing you all the best in your future travels!

Shawnna's place was a beautiful and calm stay. It is a 30/40 minute walk to the beach, but flat the whole way, so very easy and nice.The room and amenitites were all spotless and homely. We reaply enjoyed our stay, it was so welcoming and her cat was a highlight! Thank you!

Shawnna's place is a hidden gem. I loved listening to the birds every morning and the river is such a great spot to relax. This spot is well worth the value. Shawnna is an excellent host. She is so helpful and kind.

This was one of our top stays during our time in Costa Rica - the private river access views were incredible and made for a very peaceful morning coffee. The host was very helpful and even gave recommendations when we got a flat tire. Having access to the washer and dryer, board games, and just overall the beautiful and calming atmosphere the airbnb provides made it a wonderful stay for us. Would gladly return! If you’re car is lower to the ground, I would be a bit wary of this location. Driving to the place at nighttime for the first time was a bit nerve-racking but doable.

It was very nice to stay at Shawnna's. She is very attentive and makes her kitchen available and does not lack good advice to ensure the stay goes smoothly. The best part? Coffee was always ready when I woke up. I highly recommend it. 🤗

Our favorite apartment in Costa Rica so far! Everything was absolutely clean and tidy. Shawnna was very proactive in communication and we felt very comfortable. There was a safe place to park our car and a lovely garden.

Shawnna is a great host and her AirBnB is fantastic. The surroundings are beautiful, the The kitchen and laundry room are great and general vibe is great. Note: the location is at the end of the road and getting in and out by foot isn't that convenient, if you have a car or motorcycle this place is great.

We had a great time here. Shawnna was easy to reach, very nice and helpful. The shared shower and toilet were always clean. We really liked the nice terrace and the river nearby. We found everything we needed in the kitchen and washing our clothes was easy.
