A two house compound with all the amenities with manicure grounds. A large spa and Poole were welcome edition. Many local tours, such as horseback riding, night walks, ATV, and Hot Springs. Zip lining was available. Also definitely a good value in La Fortuna. Our host was definitely involved and I was asking if we needed anything. Would definitely visit again.

The place was better than advertised, great for hosting large groups, and good Value. It is very remote and private, but still close enough to La Fortuna (20-30 mins). There are little towns closer for quick meals/groceries. Our kids lived the pool. We saw a sloth in the tree across the street! I’d stay here again

Finca Tovar is an absolute beautiful peaceful paradise!!! The main house and Casita are amazing, the pool is always sparkling clean, the grounds are gorgeous! We saw so many tropical animals all around the property! Everything was perfect, beds are clean and comfortable, everything you need is there, you feel like you are at home while staying at Raphael's property! The teenage kids absolutely loved it here also, we were a group of 10, 3 families and never felt crowded! It is about 20 minutes from downtown La Fortuna. The people in this small town are so kind!!! Raphael was so responsive and helpful, answering every question without hesitation, and I asked a lot of questions. I highly recommend having Henry and Jailin make you a traditional breakfast!!! We will be returning to Costa Rica and will stay here every time! The Rainforest was amazing, the warm rain and swimming in the pool. Don't let rainy season scare you away, Raphael's family has created a perfect getaway!!!

We had an amazing stay at Finca Tovar and would highly recommend to others! The house is more beautiful and spacious than is shown in the photos. We especially appreciated having everything fully stocked like kitchen supplies, spices, laundry soap, full-sized toiletries, etc. so we did not have to buy much other than food. Rafael was incredibly responsive and helpful with local recommendations. We had a true pura vida experience and would love to come back!

Unbelievable experience! The house was absolutely amazing, perfect for our large family. We had a blast in the pool and resting on the property! But more than that, Rafael was, hands-down, the best Airbnb host we’ve ever had. He went out of his way to help us navigate a very difficult arrival situation. He solved any issues we had immediately. He went above and beyond in every way. The house was outfitted with everything we needed. Just truly a remarkably memorable experience! The casa and casita were perfect for our family of eight. The extra space allowed us to spread out and enjoy the amenities. The pool is gorgeous!

The pictures did not do it justice. This home is amazing and very comfortable. Spacious, cozy and well stocked from towels to board games to coffee. The pool was fantastic. They came quietly and cleaned it every morning. We felt at home in paradise. Will be back!!

This place was exactly as it looked in the pictures — maybe even better! At night, when all the lights came on, the poolside looked absolutely amazing and created such a beautiful atmosphere. The house itself was spotless. The linens were super clean, everything was polished, modern, and very well maintained. We also loved the outdoor space — the barbecue and outdoor kitchen were a great touch, and we really enjoyed having meals outside at the seating area. The landscaping was brilliant, with beautiful lush gardens and perfectly manicured lawns that made the whole experience feel relaxing and special. I would 1000% recommend this place to my family and friends. Also, a special mention to Henry the gardener, who was incredibly helpful, and to Raphael, who was a wonderful host throughout our stay!

Our stay at this Airbnb was nothing short of incredible. The home is absolutely stunning, and being surrounded by the most perfect rainforest backdrop made the entire experience feel like something out of a dream. The setting alone is pure paradise. The neighborhood felt very safe and peaceful, which allowed us to fully relax and enjoy our time. Inside, the amenities made us feel right at home—everything was thoughtfully provided and made our stay comfortable and easy. We really appreciated that everything in/and out of the home was perfectly labeled which made finding what we needed so easy! The large pool was perfect for unwinding and spending quality time together, and it quickly became one of our favorite parts of the property. The Casita was also a wonderful addition, as it allowed our family from Costa Rica to stay/visit with us while still having their own space. We have rented many homes in Costa Rica and La Finca Tovar is by far our favorite rental! Highly recommended!

It is a place not to be missed—an excellent location, in perfect condition, and very well-maintained, with hosts who are very attentive and helpful. We will definitely be back!

The residence is impeccably kept—every corner gleaming—and offered at a value that feels almost too generous to be true. Yet it is not merely the house that enchants. The surrounding grounds abound with nature’s wonders: sloths, butterflies, lively geckos, and, most dazzling of all, toucans and macaws appearing as if on cue.
