Amazing Private Villa Great for Groups & Families!

Our stay at this Airbnb was nothing short of incredible. The home is absolutely stunning, and being surrounded by the most perfect rainforest backdrop made the entire experience feel like something out of a dream. The setting alone is pure paradise. The neighborhood felt very safe and peaceful, which allowed us to fully relax and enjoy our time. Inside, the amenities made us feel right at home—everything was thoughtfully provided and made our stay comfortable and easy. We really appreciated that everything in/and out of the home was perfectly labeled which made finding what we needed so easy! The large pool was perfect for unwinding and spending quality time together, and it quickly became one of our favorite parts of the property. The Casita was also a wonderful addition, as it allowed our family from Costa Rica to stay/visit with us while still having their own space. We have rented many homes in Costa Rica and La Finca Tovar is by far our favorite rental! Highly recommended!

It is a place not to be missed—an excellent location, in perfect condition, and very well-maintained, with hosts who are very attentive and helpful. We will definitely be back!

Dearest Reader, It is with great delight that I recount a most exceptional stay just beyond the charming reaches of La Fortuna. The residence is impeccably kept—every corner gleaming—and offered at a value that feels almost too generous to be true. Yet it is not merely the house that enchants. The surrounding grounds abound with nature’s wonders: sloths, butterflies, lively geckos, and, most dazzling of all, toucans and macaws appearing as if on cue. The swimming pool is nothing short of divine—a serene oasis after a day’s adventure. And the host, ever attentive and prompt, provided thoughtful recommendations that made the stay effortless. Our party of 8 LOVED Raphael's place. It was so comfortable, top quality furniture, better than the pictures. It was convenient, easy walk to Chachagua, short commute to LA Fortuna. pool was kept very clean and lovely. Beds were super comfortable, laundry facilities perfect. We loved the locals, including our favorite guide dog Horacio. Raphael and Henry were immediately available for any needs or concerns, and transportation was convenient and available. I can't say enough positive about this lovely place!

We really enjoyed the place. Plenty of room for everyone. The only critique we had was that there is no hot water other than the showers. Not in the bathroom sinks, kitchen sink, dishwasher or washing machine. Just something to be aware of. I still think it was a great stay.

There are places on earth that are special and unique to the human existence, Finca Tovar is such a place. What nature and Rafael have brought together enable folks to be surrounded by the wonders of a tropical rain forest and to have the creature comforts that make for a most pleasant experience. My wife and I were able to stay at Finca Tovar for four weeks. During our stay we had the joy of having two distinct different groups share life with us at Finca Tovar. The first group was a multi-generational family experience, each and every family member left with a smile. The second group to stay was a gathering of sister’s, friends, mother’s and grandmothers – they too all left with a smile. Finca Tovar graciously accommodated all; Rafael is committed to visitors having an optimal time . We found that Finca Tovar was ideally located for relaxing under the veranda, swimming in the soothing waters of the pool, marveling at a sloth in tree or watching and listening to the innumerable bird
