Top accommodation with a great view! I would 100% recommend this. The Jacuzzi is also an added value for enjoying the sunset! Beautiful surroundings

This is a lovely big property set in extensive grounds with lots of space to walk, swim and enjoy the surroundings. We saw lots of wildlife from the many verandas including white face monkeys and toucans. Excellent and responsive/helpful host. We were invited to help ourselves to fruit and vegetables growing in the grounds and we were gifted a bag of their coffee grown in the area. 20 minutes to Monteverde and a little further to the national park. Definitely recommended.

Fantastic location with a great view. Spacious accommodation. Really everything was present! We were also allowed to use vegetables from the vegetable garden. Extremely likeable and friendly owners.

Amazing place! House is located 15-20 min from Monteverde downtown, but inside a huge forest sanctuary, impeccable maintained, which includes only four houses. Ours was HUGE with five very big in suite bedrooms, a huge living room and kitchen and lots of balconies with amazing views. It was way better than expected. Pool had a small pool and a big jacuzzi. The sanctuary included lots of amazing trails in the forestwhich ended in a big natural swimming pool. Great experience, highly recommended Hosts were superb and very friendly.

If your group is looking for the perfect combination of a clean, comfortable, updated and spacious home while still feeling completely immersed in the cloud forest, this is the place for you! We had a group of nine, including five children, and everyone had plenty of room to relax. The large decks offered breathtaking views, and we even watched monkeys playing right off our side deck! We loved the hot tub and cold plunge, and the beautiful freshwater pool, connected to the home by scenic trails, was a favorite. Be sure to explore the trails and use the hiking sticks provided! One of the highlights of our entire trip was our cooking experience with Tierra Buena Countryside in our kitchen. We booked directly through David, and it was such a fun and authentic cultural experience—with delicious food, music, and games. After a day of exploring waterfalls, it ended up being one of our favorite memories of the trip! We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend this property!

Just wow. The place is amazing. The bedrooms were bigger than anticipated. LOVE this place. On the last day of our stay we witnessed white face monkeys right off the patio ! Perfect place to relax.

One of THE BEST Airbnb homes in which we have stayed. The home and views were amazing, even more beautiful than pictured. The setting was peaceful and serene and we were greeted by a rainbow our first morning there. We enjoyed exploring the trails on the property and making salads from the fresh fruit and vegetables available on site. We also enjoyed the bird and animal sightings on property, particularly the nighttime visit from a family of capuchins. Our family of 10 had plenty of room in this pristinely clean home. We had an absolutely wonderful time with Manu via his Costa Rican cooking experience with his father and the nighttime hike. A must do for anyone staying here, highly recommend!

Fantastic unique place to stay, which we really enjoyed. Not the new and luxurious type of place you can maybe find elsewhere. But quite large, clean, comfortable and worth skipping the luxury and opting for this because of the incredible views, sunsets, wildlife and grounds. We definitely recommend getting up early for the wildlife and being around at sunset too. Upon arriving we were greeted at the driveway by a territorial monkey which was wild and hilarious. We saw hundreds of Amazon parrots. We met the sweet resident dogs. The parents near the gate are quite kind and gifted us some fruit upon arrival. Definitely make time to walk the trails on the property... so worth it. And stop at the lookout under the pergola structure for a scenic viewpoint. Things to note: pack shampoo bc it’s not provided. And there is no dishwasher. Thank you for the memories… we really enjoyed our stay.

This home was beautiful and exactly what we were hoping for. The layout was perfect with a main floor bedroom and the rest upstairs, all with their own bathrooms. It has plenty of room for big parties and the kitchen was well equipped. David helped with local eateries, convenience stores and other questions I had. His communication was top notch. The grounds were beautiful and we especially loved the gardens. The fresh bananas and limes were amazing! We did learn never to leave on the outside lights due to all the bugs, but it wasn’t a big deal once we stopped leaving them on. We felt so safe our entire stay. It is in a rural area with the closest town about 20-25 minutes away, but there are a couple of close by restaurants that we loved! We would definitely stay here again!

A wonderful place with a stunning view. The house is modern, very clean and spacious. It easily fits two families. David is a very nice host. We would be happy to come back one day.

David’s villa was amazing! The flora and fauna on the property was beautiful! We stayed as a group of 6 and there was plenty of space for more people. There were fresh mangos and bananas and a whole garden of greens and herbs for us to use in our dinner. The views and sunsets from the jacuzzi and the balcony were breathtaking. The jacuzzi was ready and warm for us upon arrival. David provided clear directions to arrive and checkin was quick and easy. Manu was a great host and helped us familiarize ourself with the area and the property upon arrival. The couch swings on the porch and balcony were nice and restful and waking up to the birds and views with a morning hike was a perfect start to the day. The kitchen was well equipped for us to make family meals. Would definitely recommend staying here, this place makes you say wow! David is correct, we wish we could’ve stayed for longer to enjoy the property even more!

Honestly there are no words for this incredible place! I’ve stayed at lots of Airbnbs, and this is definitely one of my top 3! The views, expansive home, amenities, and grounds are absolutely amazing! We stayed for 3 nights and I wish we could have stayed longer. If you’re on the fence about booking this home, just do it! You won’t regret it! We spent hours in the hot tub for sunrise and sunset, enjoyed the immense flora and fauna on the property, and so enjoyed meeting David’s dad and getting a tour of the gardens. He was a highlight of our stay, as well as the delicious pineapple, bananas, and grapefruit he shared with us farmed from the property. Thank you for sharing your amazing space with us! It truly is a heavenly haven!

The house was exactly as described with the exception of an unexpected hot tub. Plenty of space. Amazing views! Everything we needed was there. Was in an amazing area to use as a home base to explore Costa Rica. Keep in mind you are in the rain forest so there are bugs and lizards and birds of all kinds. But nothing excessive and they were willing to clean after a few days on a longer stay. Absolutely worth the effort to get to it. The unexpected coffee available was fantastic as well.

My family of 7 had a wonderful stay here. The large indoor and outdoor gathering spaces helped our family enjoy time together, and then we were all able to have our own spaces for sleeping. It is a beautiful house, surrounded by nature. We were lucky to see a variety of birds from the balconies - and made use of both the small pool and hot tub right out front. We were kindly greeted when we arrived and had no issues at all during our stay.

We all loved David’s place. Gorgeous views and sunsets with incredible night sky as there’s little to no light pollution here. Fantastic hot tub and loved the cooler tub afterward, 3 large decks to relax on, super comfortable beds with great pillows, and a beautiful couch to watch family movies from. Didn’t see as much on the night tour as Manu hoped we might but didn’t matter because we DID see a sloth!!!! Highly recommend El Despacio, great vibe and great food. The roads in the nearby area (we approached from Liberia airport) are really awful, definitely need a 4x4 and go super slow, but the road David is on is better. Loved Kira the dog, very friendly. Try to avoid sleeping in the back right room if can (furthest from stairs) as there’s a rooster on that side that starts at 0430! You’ll hear him from any room but that one is the worst. Just bring ear plugs and it’s not too bad 🙂 Highly recommend this place!!
