Hi David Thank you for your help. Much appreciated. The A/C is supposed to be sufficient for the casita as long as the windows are closed. We often stay in it if we are here for a short time. The smell is there sometimes yes and worse with the bathroom fan and /or the a/c. We have had someone look at that 3 times and although it is better it’s still not acceptable. We are looking for a certified plumber which are hard to find here. Many do “plumbing “ and apparently the smell issue is quite common in Manuel Antonio. I will get this corrected. Yes we will cover the bathroom window. We have 6 frying pans and they are either in the main kitchen, downstairs kitchen or in the casita. Always seem to be in the kitchen you are not in. The safe is working yes. Not sure what went wrong. Construction noise was not supposed to happen. He assured me it would be completed but as per construction it is delayed and doesn’t look like it will be done til the end of summer the way it’s going. They moved it to a small room as he thought the sound would resonate less than on the other side out in the open. It wasn’t an issue really until the week you were here. The last group didn’t have a problem. Yes we need different furniture but we bought that all online and had it shipped to CR unopened 🤪 If you fly into Costa Rica you can take a domestic flight once you arrive to Quepos. The flight is inexpensive and takes 25 minutes with spectacular and beautiful views on the trip. National car rental will meet you at the airport with the rental so a few minute of paperwork after you arrive and you’re on your way. From there just 20-25 minutes to our villa. I hope this helps. I’m so sorry to hear that they woke you. Had I known earlier I would have asked the owner to keep the noise down until later in the morning. The construction had been dormant for several months so I was not aware that it might be a problem.
