The family had a fantastic stay at this property. Excellent house & location and good communication with the host & staff. A pleasant surprise was the excellent open air pizza restaurant virtually next door.

Fantastic house! We hired a private chef for our stay and they had everything he needed and more. Location is perfect and had a great spot to launch and land kites. Perfect for large groups and plenty of seating areas.

We had a wonderful stay! Our 2yo and 4yo loved the welcoming pool and making sand castles on the beach. The adults loved that the pool was partially shaded during the heat of the day, which made it an ideal spot to both get sun and watch the kids in comfort we wanted time in the shade. The beach was a highlight for us as well. Sand, some seashells, calm in the morning, and very private. We all took long walks and runs down the beach almost every day. It was great to have a functional kitchen. We cooked all but two of our meals (stopped in Progreso and Merida for groceries) and it was nice that the kitchen had all the plates, silverware, cocktail mixer, cookware we needed. We even used the grill one afternoon. If you are a self-sufficient family who likes to cook and relax in a natural setting, this is a truly lovely place to stay.

My husband and I spent 6 weeks at Cinzontle and greatly enjoyed it. We cooked nearly every day and the kitchen was very well equipped. There’s even a hand mixer and waffle maker. The pool was lovely. We walked for miles on the beach every day and swam in the Gulf as well. We saw so many birds, including flamingos and pelicans flying overhead and hummingbirds and orioles in the backyard. We even watched a pod of dolphins swim by. The starry skies are breathtaking. It was incredibly peaceful and we slept well in the very comfortable bed. The best part are the caretakers, Antonio and Jacqui. They are delightful and always there to help, but not intrusive. Internet went down due to a regional telecom issue but he set us up with a backup service until the primary was restored. It wasn’t as fast but it worked. They have a sweet, well-behaved and quiet dog whom we enjoyed, but if you’re not a dog person you wouldn’t have to see her. We appreciated the decor, artwork and terrific Smart TV.

Beautiful residence!!! Beautiful, comfortable, clean, just like the Airbnb photos! A quiet and beautiful area! The beach just for us. The house is very spacious and well-equipped. It has everything you need to have a good time, 2 kayaks, hammocks, barbecue, board games, condiments in the kitchen, jug water and ice. The spacious bedrooms are very well ventilated and each has air conditioning. Large bathrooms with toiletries; soaps, shampoo and toothpaste.

The house and location were immaculate. The property is well maintained and quite private. The pool was an absolute hit with the kids. Can’t wait to return.

We were a group of six adults, and this place was perfect. We had the beach to ourselves. It’s a very quiet, peaceful area. Not too much in the way of restaurants or food stores, but there are various small shops within a half hour ride. We stopped at a larger market in Progreso on the way in, to get food and other supplies. One night we had Antonio and Jackie(spelling?) prepare a fantastic seafood dinner for us. There are three restaurants nearby: Kokomo, casa ku’a, and a pizza place (excellent brick oven pizza). Antonio was very responsive to any issues we encountered. One day the microwave oven failed, and he replaced it an hour later.

Great place for family vacations. We loved it! The additional service we hired for help in the kitchen and cleaning was spectacular and very helpful with a large family. We would definitely come back. Thanks again

A very peaceful place with everything you need to feel at home. It has some places to visit nearby and the town's supermarket is quite practical, where you can find almost everything. What we liked most is that María Elena thinks about the needs of different ages and the tastes of her tenants, because there was fun for everyone The only thing is that the pool water was a bit cold. It wasn't warm enough in the sun. It is a highly recommended place to spend time with the family.

Maria Elena's villa is extraordinary. Very spacious, we all had the required comfort. Extremely well equipped, everyone was happy. Whether it was cooking utensils, beach towels, baby furniture, board games, sand toys or outdoor activity equipment, it was all there. The beds were very comfortable. We were 6 adults, 2 children and 2 babies and everyone had their space. Communications with Maria Elena were extremely easy and fast. She gave us several suggestions for restaurants and activities. During our stay, we used the services of Jackie and Toño, the couple who take care of the residence. They are remarkable and very caring people. They prepared meals for most of our stay and everything was excellent. I highly recommend using their service because they were really great, the highlight of our trip. We'll be back.

House is as described, definitely need a car to get around. Lots of comfort items provided for both kids and adults. The property manager Antonio is very friendly and goes out of his way to get things you need. The house shows signs of use, so if you are looking for pristine it might not be for you.

Beyond wonderful stay!! Felt like a private all inclusive resort. The beach was steps away with a palapa for shade. We could sit under it and see the view ocean. Plenty of beach chairs and a hammock under the palapa. Private pool which was cleaned daily by the host. We opted to have the host fix breakfast and dinner for us. Reasonably priced and super friendly couple that set the table, fixed the delicious local food, and cleaned it all up! We found lots of nice seashells on the beach! There were toys for our kids to play with at the beach. We saw lots of flamingos in the marsh area along the road behind the house. We ate lunch at sayachaltun twice. It was very good as well! We also took a boat tour from there. One day we visited progreso (about 30 minute drive). Another we went to a cenote (40 minutes away) and also visited the salt mine (5 minutes away). There was a convenience store within 5 minutes and a grocery store within 15 minutes. Very convenient location!!

We had a fantastic week in the home!! It was more beautiful than described or shown in the pictures. The home is full of beautiful and unique art work that has clearly been curated and placed with love, pride and care. The care takers, Jackie and Tonio are lovely, and kind and created AMAZING meals for us! (this was set up ahead of time and was a highlight of the trip). The house is relaxing and has many areas to read a good book, hang in the pool, lounge in a hammock; everything one could want. We took a couple of days trips and getting into Centro Merida for the day was easy! We can not wait to return and would enthusiastically recommend staying here!!!

We had a wonderful four night stay at this magical home. Stunning location on the beach, quiet, incredibly private and lots to do in the surrounding area or at the house. Maria was a fabulous host who was very well supported by Jackie and Tony who achieved the perfect balance of being around when you needed them, but, leaving you alone at all other times. This was a three generational family trip and all of us had a spectacular time. We will be back!

Maria Elena’s place was absolutely beautiful! We loved the private beach which was perfect for our kids. In the mornings the ocean is as calm as can be. The pool was another plus! The rooms are very spacious and we felt right at home. We hope to come back soon!

Great place

We had such an incredible stay with our big family. The house and property are stunning and private. It’s well located and served as a great home base for day trips. We also loved spending the day right at the house, swimming, playing volleyball and night swimming in the bioluminescent water (which is apparently common here but a complete surprise to us). The caretakers were perhaps the highlight - so thoughtful, attentive and amazing chefs. We hope to be back. Thank you!

I don't know where to start!! 28 days of pure happiness, rest, mental calm, healing, connection with the sound of the waves, the sea air and the laughter of our children. Antonio and Jacquie's presence is a bonus for their kindness, discretion and availability. Thank you for everything, great appreciation for this moment.

Wonderful setting and a beautiful, well-appointed, welcoming home. The rooms are huge and the outdoor spaces so inviting. We loved walking on the beach and enjoyed the pool and kayaks. Special mention- the kitchen is amazing and has everything you need to cook for a crowd. Even a set of great, sharp knives - so rare in any vacation rental! Toño and Jackie are lovely - and great cooks. Can’t wait to return! We made great family memories!

We traveled here for a family getaway with our 4 month old--we just wanted someplace peaceful and quiet and boy did we hit the jackpot. This house is literally right on the beach, you can hear the waves from the patio and the bedrooms. It is SO peaceful and beautiful and comfortable. We had everything we needed--Jackie and Tono even set up a crib for our daughter! Jackie and Tono live on the property with their sweet dog Donna, and were exceptional the entire time. We hired Jackie to cook for us (a true vacation!) and she was proactive about providing a menu in advance and made some truly delicious meals for us. The entire week was a delight and we enjoyed some beautiful walks (and sunsets) on the deserted beach. We even made the short jaunt over to Laguna Rosada to see the flamingoes which was SUPER cool! Would definitely come back with more family (the house is SO BIG) in the future.

This was the second time that we stay at Cinzontle. It’s a special place: spacious, clean, well equipped and decorated, and with such a beautiful, quiet, safe beach. We appreciate the small details such as the new palapa area by the beach and the kayaks. Antonio and Jackie live by the house and are always on hand and super helpful if we need anything. This time we tried the excellent kite surfing school which is just a short walk along the beach. We look forward to returning.

We really enjoyed our stay at Maria Elena's house over Christmas. The house is huge and very comfortable. We had bad luck with the weather for several days but the house is big enough with different living spaces so we could watch movies, play several board games and be comfortable without being able to go to the beach a lot. The kitchen is very large and well equipped and we enjoyed many meals and barbecues as a family. Toño was always very attentive and cleaned the pool often. Our favorite spot was the palapa almost right on the water's edge, a true luxury.

This was a great stay! Maria provided outstanding hospitality. Antonio deserves all the praises as he made our stay very comfortable and was attentive to providing quality service. The location was great, quiet, with amazing views, sunsets and a kite school right next door. The seclusion was everything we needed for our retreat but having a car made getting around easy. Magnificent house, the terraces are huge and the house and rooms are very spacious, we will definitely return to that piece of paradise, the beach also has many amenities, children's games, volleyball court. Everything is perfect for a pleasant vacation

The house is simply amazing. I still cannot believe the beautiful view over the ocean. The rooms are bright, huge and lovely decorated. You have your own private beach and pool. Maria Elena’s house is beautiful! It is very spacious, tastefully decorated, well equipped and right on the beach. As a host Maria Elena was extremely helpful and at the house, Antonio and Jackie kept everything clean and helped with any questions. The location is perfect if you are looking for peace and quiet. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return.

The place of Maria is like heaven on earth. It is very spacious for more than 10 people and the bedrooms are huge. Moreover, the beach is very quiet and often you have the water for yourself. Most importantly, Antonio and his wife who live close by can help you with anything and they are just the kindest people ever. We couldn’t have asked for a better vacationing spot!

This is a large, comfortable house on the best stretch of beach between Progreso and Telchac Puerto. There is comfortable outdoor seating with high quality new furniture and both indoor and outdoor dining areas. Four of the five bedrooms are very large and all of them have excellent cross ventilation. The kitchen is extremely well equipped. The house is filled with interesting art. We appreciated Antonio's assistance with the grill and with cleaning up the kitchen after a big US-style Thanksgiving dinner. The location is fantastic - close to Kokomo Beach Club for dining and near Telchac Puerto and Kinuh, where there are many more dining options. All in all an exceptional home and we feel lucky to have spent time here!

Our stay was wonderful. The location fantastic and secluded. And Blanca, the cook, was a joy.

This house was amazing for our trip! We were a large group and there was more than enough space to relax, sleep, lounge etc throughout our trip. Maria Elena went above and beyond with her help as we were planning the trip with very quick responses and kind tips about local places we should eat and visit. We also requested an additional service of food - Señora Blanca and Luis were absolutely AMAZING, they made our trip even more special. They are an absolute must if you want to enjoy all of the wonderful traditional food (everything she made was so so delicious) and also have the ease of not worrying about the store, cooking each meal etc as you won't have super easy access to stores or delivery of food. Toño on the property was also extremely helpful and always went above and beyond during our stay. The property itself was INCREDIBLE!!!! It is beautifully decorated, has so much indoor and outdoor communal space, incredible pool area and the beach right out the door. The volleyball court was also a huge part of our vacation and we loved using it every day. This house is about an hour from Merida so I would recommend a car or hiring a transportation service (our choice for 11 people) as there is not much in walking distance but it is SOO worth it. We absolutely loved our stay, the people we met in the home and the entire area we explored around San Bruno and Merida!!!

María Helena made sure things were always taken care of and she was very attentive with her messages even before we arrived. She relies on a great young couple who take care of her beach home full time for her. Toño and Jackie are very kind and sweet couple, we paid them extra when we wanted things done around the house and they always made sure we were comfortable and happy. There were a few “adventures”, as I told my kids...”all the animals live here we’re just visiting!” All issues were quickly resolved by both Toño and María Helena... Maria Helena does a good job in her description of the home to prepare you for being in a remote area and we enjoyed being surrounded by such beautiful and pristine land. The home is comfortable and the layout lends it self to relaxation and spending time with family. Her kitchen is fully equipped and nothing beats sleeping to the sound of the ocean waves crashing. To our surprise we found great restaurants In Progresso on the nights we didn’t want to cook and Puerto Telchac is a quaint little town to go explore. I recommend you go grocery shopping in Progreso right off the highway where 261 & 27 meet if you’re driving from Merida. Bring an extra suit case, you’re going to want to take home all the beautiful shells you find on the beach!

Beautiful house, located in an excellent location just minutes from Telchac. We really enjoyed the attention of the caregivers there as well as the services offered, everything excellent. We enjoyed the volleyball court and the wide variety of board games offered in the house very much. Thanks to Maria Elena's recommendation, we met Isabel, a magnificent cook who delighted us with an unforgettable experience of Yucateca food. Highly recommended, from what better on Playa de San Bruno.

This place is an amazing secret getaway for family and friends. Spacious rooms and common areas, beautiful virgin beach steps away. Although we experienced bad weather (strong winds and cloudy days in March) having ocean views and a lounge to hang out with family made our stay nice and cozy. Thank you for everything!

This big house is smack on the beach with lots of comfortable outdoor hangout spots. It's really large with 5 bedrooms so we all had our own space. We loved the large upper balcony and the sand yard just steps from the beach was great for kids to play in! Definitely recommend!

This place deserves the best recommendations! My stay was with dates of the patrio bridge and was the best! The beach is super nice and very clean and transparent sea, almost a private beach as there are very few neighbors near the house! Check-in is very easy as the entrance is on the road. The house consists of very spacious rooms, with a/to practically as new as they cooled very well. The bathrooms are very clean and Maria Elena provided us all with one towel for the bathroom and another for the beach, this house is really worth it, the photos are not so current which do not do justice to how beautiful it is in person! Her caregivers, a young couple, always attentive to all our questions and needs. We made use of a practically new luxury grill and it was a hit! My whole family was comfortable and no complaints at all during the stay I highly recommend it and Maria Elena is a very good host, I even support us with some mishaps we had! Thank you very much! Close to the area (10 m by car approx.) is the port of Tel-chac where there are very well-stocked groceries ideal for cooking shopping. 100% recommended

Casa Cinzontle is a true paradise. The house is very spacious and comfortable. The beach is a paradise. It is close to Telchac and Progreso to go to buy food and what you need. It is essential to rent a car, otherwise there is no way to get from one place to another. Ma. Elena is a great host, her attentions are very fine and accurate. We had a lovely family vacation and are looking forward to returning soon.

At first, I didn’t know what to expect from the AirBnB. Upon arrival, I was amazed. The house is huge! Everything was very clean and organized, and the man on-site was readily available to help us. We enjoyed the place very much!

My family stayed at Maria Elena’s lovely home for 8 days and had an absolutely fantastic vacation. The home is beautiful and comfortable and spacious and is furnished with everything you would need - towels, kitchen needs, puzzles and games and books, etc... Maria Elena is extremely responsive and communicative - and went out of her way to satisfy our requests. Nemias, who takes care of the house, is very helpful with anything you may need. Definitely need a rental car in this area as groceries, restaurants and outings are not walkable, which for us made the area wonderfully peaceful and relaxing (at least during our stay/time of year). Telchac Puerto is the closest town for restaurants/groceries/pharmacies, about 12-15 minutes away; Progresso is about 20 minutes; and Merida about 35-45 minutes. We did a day trip to Chichen Itza (2-1/2 hour drive) and it was so fantastic to come home and jump into the pool. The best part without question(other than the fantastic amenities, great hospitality, beautiful and perfect-sized pool, well kept grounds, super beautiful beach - great for swimming, walks, fishing, beach-combing, etc) was going to sleep with the ocean breezes and sound of the waves, and waking up to the ocean sounds and bird calls.... my absolute favorite, that I will miss a lot. Thank you, Maria Elena, for everything. We had a *perfect* vacation in your home.

The views of the main rooms are amazing... very comfortable...we loved it!! The terrace with the pool is perfect for spending the whole day with family and friends!!! with plenty of space!! At night you can be upstairs in the TV room watching very storytelling movies!! Incredible location on one of the most beautiful beaches on the Yucatecan coast!! Definitely the best option in San Bruno!!!

Maria Elena’s house is GORGEOUS - very large, comfortable beds, great layout. Right on a lovely semi-secluded beach, with a great pool. Nemías & Alicia were so sweet & helpful. We hired them to cook several Yucatan meals, and no regrets.

This house is everything you need to escape. The outdoor living space and pool area was where we lived the most - just beautiful. The beach access was great. We had the caretakers Nemías and Alicia cook breakfast and dinner most days - this is not to be missed! We were able to experience the most delicious and authentic Yucatecan food. Sleeping with the ocean waves and breeze was amazing. I can’t say enough about how great Cinzontle is, both in value and quality. María Elena was a lovely and communicative host. We hope to be back!

Awesome location close to the beach and alone... Perfect for family like us and to relax!

This is a beautiful, spacious house on a wonderful beach. The pool was clean and cool. The beach was just about 50 steps from the pool with just a volleyball net and a few Palm trees in between. Our group was 2 couples, a 4 year old, and an 18 month old. We were there for a week in February. The weather was absolutely beautiful; sunny and in the high 80s every day. It is in a very quiet area of the beach. We had the entire beach to ourselves. There are plenty of beach houses there, but they seemed to be mostly empty when we were there in February. You definitely need a car. There is basically nothing in walking distance. The closest restaurants and some very small stores are are in Talchec Porto. Otherwise, there are bigger markets and grocery stores in Progreso and Motul. The municipal markets in those towns are pretty cool, but go early because things quiet down quite a bit in the afternoons. There is a lagoon about a mile away from the house, where we got pretty good views of flamingos and pelicans. There are also Xcambo Mayan ruins nearby, which were definitely worth visiting. Communication with Maria before we arrived was excellent. She was responsive and helpful. She met us for dinner in Merida the evening that we arrived and gave us some great tops. She was awesome. Alecia and Nemias took care of the house while we were there. They were there to greet us when we arrived, they checked in on us regularly, cleaned the pool midweek, built a fire on the beach for us the night before we left, and were there to see us off, but also gave us our space. They cooked some meals for us, which we highly recommend. Alecia is an excellent cook. We had a list of breakfast and dinner options to choose from before our trip. Our favorite meal was panuchos. Traveling with a preschool and a toddler is definitely not easy in general, but it was doable here. The kids loved the pool! But, we had the sliding doors open to let the sea breeze in and there's no way to lock the screens, so the trick was keeping the toddler from running out to the pool by herself because she loved it so much. There are definitely steps and stairs, which are always tricky with toddlers. But plenty of sand to play in and space to spread out. We loved our week here and highly recommend it.

Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway in a friendly, sleepy little town of Telchec and San Bruno. This place is fantastic. It is close to the beach, secluded and lots of privacy. The beach is only about 50 meters from the house. Maria was a great host, all communication was through text messaging which worked fine. There is a couple that lives on the property, these guys are the caretakers and they can help with many issues. Conclusion: You will have a great time at this place. Thank you Dear Host for amazing experience!

The house by the beach is spectacular, great amenities and spaces to live many happy moments with friends and family. The rooms are really spacious, the common areas are great to socialize. Very commutable beds, and clean towels for the shower and others for the pool. The pool is cleaned every day, and filed with fresh water. This is the second time I spend time on this house. Maria Elena is always in touch, and available for any questions. Also the people that help around the house are really nice, they helped us clean and cook traditional food from Yucatan. There are some ruins 3 km from the house, you can go walking or in a car, and you will see "salinas" where local people make salt, and come flamingos on the way. It is s great vacation space, the house has all that you need, play areas, common areas, big table for 11 persons, all utensils you may need in the kitchen, board games, tv and wi-fii. I will love to stay here again.

Thank you for allowing us to stay at your house It was beautiful and spacious and was everything we were looking for. The caretakers were so sweet and accommodating and we loved the guacamole and the tacitos they made for us the first night. We really enjoyed having the dog Sky around the house and taking walks with us down the beach and we also loved having the chicken we called Rusty hanging out with us by the pool. The breeze outside was wonderful and continued at night through the house we never had to use any air conditioning. I would highly recommend this house.

Beautiful house facing a beautiful and quiet sea, perfect for relaxing with the family. The house is beautiful, the pool water always at a delicious temperature, as is the sea. We went to spend time as a family to celebrate my dad's 70th birthday, from the reservation Maria Elena was always very attentive and answered my questions, even more; likewise the people who work and take care of the house, super attentive. Too bad we only went for a few days.

A space to enjoy as a family. It is a large, spacious, safe, comfortable house that will surely add to your travel and life experience.

A truly beautiful space and location. The home is expansive, well furnished, and right on the beach (the ocean was full of bioluminescence at night, which was an amazing sight!). The local caretaker Nemias served as a wonderful host. We also hired a local cook, Blanca, who made us delicious Yucatan dishes and was a true pleasure to have around. Communication with Maria, the owner, exceeded expectations and really took the stress out of planning our trip. This home was a perfect fit for us, and the hospitality just put us over the top.

Fantastic quiet and relaxing gateway.

All I can say is wow! The house in incredible-- much better than the pictures. We only spent 3 days there but wish it was more. The house is very big, easily fitting my family of 7 with space to spare. The pool was great for the kids and of course, the beach is wonderful. The area is very private and you feel like you have your own slice of paradise while there. When we arrived, we were told that the stocked fridge was for us to use-- very, very nice touch of the kind hosts. The house also has a nice couple that cares for the house. We had them cook for us 2 of the days and they were wonderful and nice. I highly recommend staying in the wonderful house for meals vs. trying to go out at night. Why leave paradise for someplace else?

Being in this place, in this space was a magical experience. Malena was an exceptional hostess! She is incredibly gracious, welcoming and unimaginably helpful. I noticed certain little things like fresh flowers throughout the house, monogramed towels, cleanliness and even décor and I could feel her pride and love for this house and I couldn’t help but be honored that she shared it with us. The location of the house is so amazing, there were days that we didn’t see anyone else but a fisherman and pelicans all day on the beach and because of the lack of crowds if you decide to take a walk on the beach I guarantee you seashell heaven!! I’m from Florida and usually don’t get too excited about beaches, but this…well you will have to see for yourself! We were there celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday and Malena went out of her way to work with me to make this a very special occasion for him. Her staff, Nemias and Alicia are so very friendly and warm and treated us like family, they went out of their way to make sure that we were well taken care of. If you are interested (and lucky) Malena connected us with Blanca and Luis who cooked for us amazing fresh meals at the house. If you only speak English, don’t worry, Malena speaks perfect English and her staff will work with you and Google translate works well too! I cannot say enough about these people, this location, this home….this whole experience. Thank you Maria Elena for such a beautiful experience in your beautiful home! – Sharlyn & Rob

Great place for family vacation, great host!!! Exceeded expectations

Cinzontle is the perfect place to enjoy the beach and beautiful sunsets. Maria Elena's house is full of details and is totally practical. It has been a wonderful vacation in large part because of the warmth of Maria Elena who was attentive from the first contact with her. Cizontle is a place to visit.

The house is very nice and the service was impeccable.

The house is amazing, it has very good spaces. It is very bright and from all over you can see the landscape of the sea. What I love is that you hear the sea all the time and at night much more, it is a calm sea with a rhythm that accompanies you being in this wonderful house. We enjoyed it very much, one of the days we cooked in the grill some fresh fish that we bought in a nearby fishing village of the day. We also walked every day to that flat beach with white sand. The sea refreshed us every day, I know nothing very safe since the beach is very flat. We were very happy and the house helped make everything more enjoyable with that spaciousness of its spaces, both in the bedrooms and in the kitchen, dining room and that delicious terrace. Puli, the man in charge of the house, was always very attentive to what was offered. Thank you Maria Elena for all your attention, we hope to return next year.
