The home was beautiful and felt like a private oasis. Very accessible and close to everything you need. Communication between the property management and host was great and they were very accommodating with additional amentities if desired. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We had a great time - the host was extremely responsive. We were a group of 12 in town for a wedding, while the Airbnb is a bit hard to walk down to the city, uber is very easy and affordable. The host made sure we had groceries delivered & even offered to cook breakfast/dinner for the group. One of the guest had a birthday - and the host went above and beyond to make sure that a cake was delivered first thing in the morning to celebrate their birthday before the wedding. Very impressive service Would definitely stay again.

This place was stunning. It was very comfortable, in a great location and very welcoming. Every room had a stunning view. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms super clean. Also, whenever we had a question, it was answered really quickly. The only issue we had is we had an older person with us and there weren’t handrails on all the stairs so we had to watch her very carefully. I don’t think that is unusual for Mexico so I don’t fault them for it, but it’s something to know. Rosario, the cook, was really helpful and gave us great recommendations. Her enchiladas verde was so delicious. I highly recommend this place.

Ginny was an incredible host, she was very attentive to us, she solved all the initial problems we had on the first day of the stay, the house is very large and has many spaces, the view is incredible of the city, the location is very good. It has a good pool and an amazing barbecue that we enjoyed. The only thing to improve was that we had water pressure problems the first day but Ginny fixed it for us.

The house was beautiful. The pictures don't do it justice. The view from the living room and veranda are of the parroquia and are incredible. The staff were all incredible helpful and the house management company were also always responsive and will to accommodate all requests. Ginny was very helpful in getting prepared and knowing what to expect from the staff and house management company. I highly recommend a stay at this house for an easy visit to San Miguel in a luxurious home.

Ginny's place was great! Pictures don't really do it justice. There were fantastic views overlooking the city from almost everywhere in the house. Ginny was very responsive as was the team that manages the property in San Miguel de Allende. Walking to the city square was a breeze! Walking back up the hill after was not for the faint of heart (especially if you're a sea-level dweller haha)... you really earn those tacos! I also recommend the breakfast.. Esthela makes some great chilaquiles... No better way to start your days!

We had a wonderful stay at this Casa Magnifica. It was perfect for our extended family of 11. We already miss that amazing view.

Stayed here for a girls trip and the home exceeded my expectations and provided us with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Ginny’s home felt extremely spacious and we had plenty of room even with our large group. I loved the location, we were easily able to walk to several spots and the view was even better! The home fit right in to the city with its beautiful architecture and interesting art throughout. We did have some issues with the WiFi being very spotty and some of the rooms did get pretty warm during the day but there were plenty of fans. I would definitely recommend staying here for your visit!

We had a fantastic time in San Miguel de allende. We were in town for a wedding and Ginny's place has beautiful patio, pool, living room for all 13 of us to congregate. We used her recommendation for a chef to prepare a meal for us and it was delicious and very easy. We stayed in the casita and let the children/grandchildren stay in the main house. the town center was 10 minute walk with many restaurants and a grocery store was 5 minutes away. We did have groceries delivered before we checked in which was perfect and affordable!

Ginny’s place is gorgeous with the most magical views and energy. Our group had plenty of space for everyone, and it was the perfect spot for a celebratory trip. We highly recommend having Esthela prepare some meals for you! She’s an absolute gem, and is a wonderful chef. Ginny’s is the perfect place for your San Miguel adventure! We’ll definitely be back!

Ginny’s house is absolutely gorgeous. The photos, while accurate, do not give one full appreciation for the ambience. The house is immaculately clean and comfortable, with a well appointed kitchen and plentiful bottled water. There are abundant areas to socialize, rest and relax both in-doors and out. Each of the six bedrooms is spacious with comfortable bedding, generous closet space, and a private bath. The terraces and pool deck are beautifully landscaped with outdoor space to view the sunrise and all of San Miguel. I highly recommend Ginny’s place for a group or family. You will not be disappointed, and like us, will wish you had more time to spend in her beautiful home admiring the view and the original art.

Beautiful home with a great view.

Just a beautiful house with amazing views. The house is large enough where you can just relax together or get away for private time. The stairs are a challenge, but I knew that from the reviews. You get used to them after a couple of days. Estela the cook makes AMAZING Mexican food. I recommend you at least get breakfast daily. Such a convenient amenity. Downtown is literally 3 blocks away. And if you can’t fathom the hill, you can take the bus up for $0.40USD. Ginny and the local team are a gem with checkin, checkout and suggestions (grocery store, restaurants, pharmacy etc) . Honestly this was the best stay my family and I could have for thanksgiving.

This home in San Miguel de Allende was perfect for our group of girlfriends! The spacious layout, stunning views, and refreshing pool made our stay so enjoyable. We especially loved the delicious breakfasts prepared by Rosario – such a treat!

We had a lovely stay. The views were incredible from the house. There are a lot of stairs, and at this elevation, it was a challenge, but totally worth the effort.

Ginny is a wonderful host. She gave us very clear instructions and was always communicative and helpful. The home is beautiful with many levels and views of the gorgeous town, sunsets and more. We walked daily into town because the house is so central to shopping, restaurants and more.

The house is very nice and big, especially for a group of several people. The town center is very close, only you must be willing to walk uphill. The pool is super well, the water temperature is very comfortable. The kitchen elements are very functional for the day to day. Very good accommodation.

This is our 2nd time staying at Ginny’s house with the last time being 6 years ago. We love the unbeatable views from the living room and bedrooms and that’s what brought us back. Overall expect some of the items in the house to be a little worn such as the couches but if you don’t mind that this will be an amazing home to stay at.

This house is absolutely amazing. The view from the patio, living room and bed rooms is one of the best in town. The house is really cool and you definitely feel like you are in Mexico. There are a lot of stairs going up to and in the house and it is located at the top of a really big hill so if you have problems climbing stairs this house would not be ideal for you.

Ginny’s place is magical, centrally located, private, spacious and well decorated. Ginny was very responsive throughout my one week stay. All of my co-travelers had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend it!

We had the most amazing stay at Ginny’s place, the house is truly breathtaking inside and out. Photos do not do the views justice, the panoramas from the outdoor spaces and bedrooms were unbelievable, some of the most amazing center-city views I have ever experienced. Plus it’s in a perfect location (albeit quite hilly) to walk to shops and restaurants. We really cannot recommend this place enough, thank you so much Ginny for sharing it with us!

It was not possible to get to know the place, only my wife arrived and had to return the next day. I rented the place to spend the new year there, so that my son who is sick with cancer was comfortable, but unfortunately it was very bad days for him, his health was complicated and it was not possible to get there. For that reason, the part of the family that had moved forward had to return. I hope at some point to get to know the place personally, but my wife and daughter have told me that it is a beautiful place, although they couldn't enjoy it waiting for news of my son's situation.

The second you arrive to San Miguel de Allende you’ll be inmersed in color, music and great food. You think it’s imposible for an experience like this to get better, but this was exactly what happened when we all arrived to this house, from different countries we gathered together to celebrate the wedding of two of our closest friends. Each corner of the house has a special detail you will remember forever from the big mirror bathrooms to the details in the cup of coffee. The house allows you to enjoy an amazing view of the city from almost every room and generates different unique sharing spaces, so if you are wanting a house that has it all this is it. The host gave us the option of having a classic Mexican breakfast each day which we all loved. You won’t regret this stay, the pool is a big plus and internet worked well. Just be prepared to climb some stairs on your way up but I promise it’s more than worth it. ❤️

Loved this beautiful home. We had five couples with each having their own nice bedroom with bathroom. The grounds are spectacular. We used the cooks for breakfast and one dinner. The property was perfect for us but would not recommend for anyone who can’t handle walking up stairs. It’s a good workout walking back from town and from the front door to the house.

Great place a big group. Place is has so much character. Great View of downtown. Walkable to most everything. Down hill is a lot easier that downhill than up hill but still doable. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Has an amazing stay at Casa Magnífica in San Miguel! Every single person of our group of 8 was extremely happy and satisfied with the house, amenities, and location! Walkable area with lots of places to eat, drink, and have coffee. We were in town for a wedding so having a spacious place to comfortably get ready in, rest, and pregame was to priority, and this place exceeded expectations. Would recommend 100%!

We loved the house. It was unique, beautifully decorated, spacious, and has gorgeous views of SMA. Ginny and her management team were also super accommodating and were kind enough to let us check in a little early. The location was perfect! It is very close to the centro, restaurants, the main plaza, artisan markets, churches and so much more. The house is up on a hill so the walk down isn’t bad but definitely had to catch a cab a couple times to get back to the house. The house itself has a lot of stairs also, so just be ready for a little workout! We really enjoyed the pool and definitely took advantage of it and the nice weather. The surrounding garden and greenery were also stunning. Overall, we had an amazing time and would definitely come back!

This house is beyond beautiful! Every room has an incredible view and the house has all that San Miguel charm. The art and decor were perfectly curated, the house was huge and easy to accommodate a large group, the pool was great for a 1/2 day of relaxation, and the staff was responsive and timely. The house is surrounded by magnificent views, and the plants and landscape are just what you would expect for this San Miguel artisan hilltop gem. Very close to town just a ten minute walk or so to anything you could need or want. With those amazing views come an incline, the walk back to the house can definitely double as your daily workout. I couldn’t have asked for more, our group of 11 had more space than they new what do with-each bedroom had a bathroom which was beyond amazing when it came to getting ready and storage. Each room also had walk in closets, so it was easy to keep things organized. The location, price, size and host are unparalleled. ❤️

Amazing home!! We absolutely loved our stay in San Miguel. This house was perfect for couples. Extremely spacious, wonderful views, and the pool was a huge perk! This house was walking distance from everything in town. Ginny was very quick to respond and helpful with any questions I had. Keep in mind, this house does not have A/C. It was breezy in the mornings and at night but definitely gets warm inside in July. Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay!

This is truly a “Casa Magnifica”! Fantastic views from every room and beautiful decor made it a luxurious place to call home during our stay. Ginny and her staff were very warm and responsive to any requests for assistance.

Highly recommend! This house, with its amazing view with spacious rooms and grounds, was perfect for our group of 8. Each room is very private, has it's own bathroom and ample closet space. It's perched above the town center, so a close (but very steep) walk to restaurants, shops, and the main square. Hosts were responsive before and during stay. One thing we didn't realize was no A/C, but that was accurate to the description and we were thinking it would be cooler weather. Keeping the curtains closed during the daytime helped. Overall, thanks for a great stay!

we loved our stay at the villa. more then enough room for the 7 of us and could easily fit 12. better then the pictures and the views are spectacular. yes there are stairs but worth seeing the city sprawled across you day and night. bathrooms and rooms were as described and we all had privacy. can't wait to come back to this magical villa!

The house was as advertised. Very secure & private even though it’s on the main street. Fit four couples very easily and had plenty of privacy with each bedroom having its own bathroom. The city views were spectacular! We requested the house chef, Esthela, and she was better than advertised. Her authentic Mexican Breakfast was the perfect way to start our day. Would stay here again if we return! Ginny was great.

Ginny was such a fantastic host! Super responsive and took care of absolutely every concern. The house is gorgeous. I have seen many vacation homes in SMA (I worked for an event planner there) and this one was a great price, amazing location, spectacular view, and very roomy even with 10 guests. Lots of privacy. There are so many areas to sit, patios, etc and the cactus are impressive. We would definitely rent again.

Great place and location in San Miguel. View from bedrooms was best ever - can't beat it. Very walkable down to center town with shopping and restaurants all around. Highly recommend this place for multiple couples or large families.

Home was spacious and lovely, beautiful views from every bedroom. We had a group of 7 and were very comfortable. It is walking distance from everywhere, very centrally located. We used the cook for 2 breakfasts, delicious and a great way to start the day. I would highly recommend. Only issue was there was no hot water- and I mean none, not even for the first person to take a shower.

Our group of 8 came for a wedding and we are so happy we booked this space. There was privacy for everyone with their own rooms and bathrooms, but a uniquely beautiful common space between the dining table and living room with so much seating for a large group. It was a perfect home base for a group trip to San Miguel de Allende.

This home is exceptional . Every part of the house from the architecture to the artisan interiors have been carefully curated . The landscaped private gardens are an oasis and the sitting and dining spaces welcoming and charming . We were a family group of 8 reuniting after a horrendous journey which dissipated within 10 seconds of our arrival . The photos cannot capture the size and beauty of this place . Noone felt they had the dud bedroom as the views are spectacular and beds comfy. We booked a chef which was a spectacular treat . If I had a moan at all it is that I wish we had booked longer !

Really beautiful house! Plenty of space for a large group. Easy access to town and lots of cabs near by if you don’t want to walk uphill on the way home. The cook was excellent and highly recommend you have her make a meal (chilaquiles we’re delicious).

This design and creative decor of this house is a work of art. It is one of a kind with so much attention to detail. We were a group of 7 and this very large and private home easily accommodated us. The open floor plan with high ceilings is much more awesome that in the photos! You just feel a sense of flow and space inside the house. Lazing on the patio overlooking the city and sunset while enjoying a glass of wine was great. The kitchen was stocked with lots of everything! And, it is an easy walking distance from El Centro, however the walk back home is uphill. There is some noise from the road below. This home, Casa Magnfica, lives up to it's name.

The house is absolutely beautiful. The views from every room are breathtaking. The pool was clean and at a great temperature. The location is a short 10 min walk downhill to the main square. We did not use the cleaning or cooking services offered with the stay, but we did contact the house manager several times for a plumbing issue and it was handled very quickly. Would highly recommend staying here!

It is in an excellent location, the house is very spacious and beautiful, with incredible views. It saddens me that days later they complain to me about a broken fireplace that we did not use or go near.

This house is incredible. A lush oasis near the middle of the city. With it's breathtaking views throughout the house, patios, and balconies to the authentic construction of this Spanish style masterpiece we felt like royalty! We ate delicious breakfasts at the beautiful dining table, we enjoyed time in the pool, drank coffee on the patios in the morning and margaritas in the evening, strolled through town for shopping, eating, and site seeing, and returned to our suites for wonderful sleep. We also discovered why the culture needs a Siesta...this town loves to celebrate their holidays with major fire works early in the morning! Our daughter was married the week we were here and it couldn't have been a better location for us to entertain a few pop in guests! Ginny was an fantastic host! Our cheeks still hurt from all the smiles and laughter we had from our week in San Miguel de Allende!

Great place. One of the coolest airbnbs I have stayed at. Will definitely stay again.

This house came as advertised. It was spacious for our party of nine, close to town, and well appointed. The pool is heated by a solar blanket that makes it very comfortable. The 57 steps up from the street seemed daunting at first, especially with our luggage, but that is the price you pay for a wonderful view of the Basilica, the town and the valley beyond. As others have mentioned, there is road noise, which bothered one in our party who like to sleep with their window open. The rest of us dealt with it pretty much OK. One couple felt that their bathroom was less than clean, but overall I would recommend this house to any large party.

This house was truly spectacular! It is definitely the nicest place I have ever stayed. The house was a short walk to everything in the town of San Miguel de Allende. It was the perfect home base for everything on our trip and comfortably slept everyone in our large group! There is lots of space in every single aspect of the home, so everyone will be able to find their spots and enjoy the space. The inside is beautifully decorated and the outside spaces are incredible as well. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This place is magical. I highly recommend staying here. The location is perfect to explore the city. The staff prepared some great meals for us and I recommend at least one dinner and one breakfast with them. Ginny was a wonderful host- she actually stayed onsite but we rarely saw her. We weren’t the most quiet group and she was unbothered. The views from the master are to die for- the best view in the city aside from the rooftop bars. My only advice is this- order your cars once you are already outside. There is no place for the driver to pull over and wait outside the property. We had several drivers cancel on us.

Expect a 5 star experience from incredible hosts. You won’t regret staying with Ginny!

Magnificent! We were very comfortable in these 5 beautiful, private bedrooms with gas fireplaces. We had a cook come every day and enjoyed her traditional Mexican fare in the comfort of our own home. Each night we had drinks on the porch and enjoyed the spectacular views. Virginia was an amazing host and very responsive when we had questions.

A perfect home in every way, the view you have towards the church is breathtaking.

San Miguel We had such an amazing stay at casa magnifica. The house was so inviting with gorgeous rooms, views, and spaces to hang out. Our first morning we woke up to the sunrise over San Miguel and the spectacular Sighting of hot air balloons. It was truly magical. Next, Estella, a very sweet lady made coffee and cooked us chilaquiles for breakfast. She was great and made everything from scratch. Back to the house, a perfect spot for families or large groups who want a mix of going into town and hanging out and enjoying the pool and BBQ area. The walk to the town center was quick and easy as well. We would definitely recommend this place and guarantee that you will enjoy it as well. Ginny, the owner was also so helpful and communicated quickly. She is kind and responsive. Thank you for having us at your casa magnifica!

Amazing house and location. We stayed over Independence Day and the balcony was the perfect place to watch the fireworks, even when it was raining we stayed dry and entertained. The pool was lovely in the afternoons with direct sun. All the bedrooms are just as nice as promised. Super easy walk into town (a little more tough on the way up hill but taxis are cheap and plentiful).

This is a great house for any group visiting San Miguel. The house has several big rooms, all with great character, and it is a short walk to important points across SMA (although, expect a calf workout on some of the hills). We had a fantastic stay and would absolutely recommend this house to anyone else visiting San Miguel.

The perfect house in the perfect location. Perfect for couples considering each room has their own king bed and private bathroom. I can’t imagine houses getting much better than this one.

This house was amazing! It’s the perfect place for a large group to stay since each room has their own bathroom. This is not related to the house - but it’s important to note that apparently sometimes fireworks are shot off at 6am for about an hour, which can be a very frightening way to wake up. We didn’t know what was happening initially, so I just wanted to share! Loved our stay and would stay again!

Ginny was communicative prior to our trip to ensure a great stay and smooth check-in! The house is beautiful and spacious. It is up on a hill, but everything in San Miguel is on a hill. There is a lady that will cook however many meals you would like for a small fee, just have to make sure to communicate that prior to your arrival. The beds are a tad bit uncomfortable, but that’s just personal preference. Every room is spacious, has its own bathroom and beautiful views. It’s a close 5-10 minute walk to the centro (Downtown).

This house was stellar and way better than the photos showed. Our family and friends enjoyed the stay very much. Casa Magnifica was big enough to have individual space, but also packed with many areas to gather and enjoy the full group. The architecture and landscape architecture are marvelous. Both the Main House and the Casita are packed with character, color and texture. The property displays the true essence of Barragan's Mexico. As for the hospitality from ownership and management, all I can say is that they were superb. Ginny was so prompt at responding to my messages before and after the arrival, as well as providing some tips on how to locate parking for three cars. The management team was delightful. From Luis helping us with a late check in process and giving us rides to pick up our cars, to the groundskeeper and the maid keeping the house spotless. We could not have picked a better home to stay at, while celebrating our wedding. Our families and friends will be coming back soon.
