We spent 4 wonderful days at the Agua Madera Villas house. The house is beautiful, very pleasant, clean, comfortable, and has a layout that invites you to spend unforgettable days with your family. We enjoyed the pool and the barbecue, and the view was the best!

This was our second stay at Aguamadera Villa. Just like the first time everything was amazing! The house is beautiful and clean, the pool are is gorgeous and tropical with monkeys occasionally visiting a tree outside the master bedroom, and the location is excellent. Close enough to Santa Theresa for restaurants and grocery stores, but minutes from Playa Hermosa. The most beautiful and quiet beach. Also, Camila was super responsive to anything we needed.

Our stay in the gem of a home was the absolute best intro to the Santa Teresa area. Playa Hermosa, where the home is located, is the calm and peaceful version of Santa Teresa. If you’re looking for the most beautiful beach in the area, with a tiny downtown area with breakfast and lunch spots, and the best surfing for beginners and even for more advanced surfers, this is your spot. Staying at the villa requires you to have a vehicle as it is not walkable as it is up on a hill. We rented UTV. Paola, the house manager was absolutely incredible. She arranged transfers, UTV rental, surf lessons, tour guide for a day of hiking and zip lining, and a private chef. All of her recommendations were 10 out of 10. The Villa is three stories high with four bedrooms on one level and the master bedroom on the top level. The main living areas and pool are on the ground level. Everything in the home was absolutely impeccable.

Beautiful, comfortable, stunning views and perfect amenities. Our group had such a wonderful time. I don’t often stay in the same place twice, but I would make an exception for this wonderful home and location.

We’ve stayed here twice now, and it continues to be a great place in Playa Hermosa. The A/C is strong and keeps not just the bedrooms but the living areas comfortable as well. The property is beautifully maintained with great gardening, and the ocean view is a real highlight. The pool is amazing and a perfect place to cool off on a hot day. Parking was easy with space for two cars (and even an ATV if needed). Also loved the outdoor shower—perfect for rinsing off sandy feet after coming back from the beach.

We loved our stay at Aguamadera Villas! We know the area well and this may have been our favorite home, It was well situated and had the perfect combination of indoor and outdoor space. The pool was lovely and had shade and sun. The home accommodated our large group - never ran out of water/ was always cool and comfortable. Really a perfect stay!

A paradise on earth unforgettable experience in Hermosares, Costa Rica……. From the moment I arrived in this villa, it felt like coming home, but in the most serene and enchanting piece of nature I have ever experienced. Everything is right here: the sound of the jungle in the morning, the colorful butterflies fluttering by, the curious monkeys in the trees, and the endless greenery that surrounds you. The host is really a superhost, easily accessible, thinks about everything and helps you with every question. Cleaning service comes every day, keeping the house fresh and well cared for. It is clear that with a lot of love and attention to detail, your stay is perfect. A tip: if you don't have a car, be sure to rent quads. It is not only practical, but also a great way to explore the area. I would rent this house for a month!

Aquamadera Villa was a beautiful house in my favorite part of the Santa Theresa/ Playa Hermosa area. The house was clean, modern, and well equipped. My favorite part was the beautiful landscaping and the numerous butterflies and hummingbirds that visited every day. We even had a family of monkeys in a tree one day! This villa is absolute perfection. It’s beautiful, comfortable and very well appointed. It’s spacious enough to enjoy quiet moments alone but with a wonderful layout to gather with family and friends as well. It’s close enough to Santa Teresa to be convenient to everything you need and want but far enough away that you could enjoy the quiet too. The home truly hits on everything you could want. Perfect for a small or large group for sure. Paula was so helpful with everything we needed, always responding so quickly with all of my questions during and months (and months) before we arrived. We’re sad to be home, missing the breathtaking views, the incredible monkeys, surf, coffee, food, and of course the sunsets that cannot be described with words. Property was very clean and spacious. It was like staying in a magical jungle with a sparkling ocean in the back. Pool is a great size. So much space to relax and enjoy your family! I highly recommend renting the place right next door if you are traveling with a large group. Easy walk with a secret pathway. We loved our stay at Villa Pochote. The location, just above Playa Hermosa, made for a quiet and secluded stay (apart from one bird who insisted on squawking all night long 😂). The house feels like a cozy home, not just a rental. The highlight for us was the amazing pool. And of course our host, Paula. Would highly recommend this home.

We loved our stay! The villa is perfect for a family or even two staying together. The pool is perfectly heated and has a wonderful layout with the rest of the house. Daily cleaning was such a treat and made staying in an airbnb feel like a resort. There were some issues with the air conditioning giving out but Paula was incredibly responsive and the issues were resolved almost immediately. We will definitely be back!

Just incredible - a beautiful, private location with amazing views and amenities. I also have to give a huge shout out to our host: my family has traveled all over the world and used Airbnb in numerous countries, but I've never had a more attentive, knowledgeable host. Everything from booking a private chef to surfing classes to horseback riding was handled with ease, and every recommendation was a hit. There are concierges at 5-star hotels who could learn from Aguamadera!

This was such a beautiful home! I would honestly buy a home like this in CR if I could. There were 7 people in my group and the house was more than big enough for all of us. The views from the home were exactly like the pictures shown and even better in person. All of the rooms have AC and have a view of the ocean. The water for the shower was always hot if needed. The kitchen was beautiful, we could cook, prep fruit and do anything you could at home. I wish we could’ve stayed longer. The only cons of the house were the roads to get to it but as most of the coasts in CR 4x4 recommended and I’m sure in a few years the roads will be paved. You are getting so much house and amenities and the price was a steal.

What an amazing property, the view was amazing and we even had monkeys playing in the trees one morning. There was a view from each room and floor and the pool is like something out of a magazine. We would definitely recommend and stay again. The kitchen and outdoor grill were easy to use and the staff cleaned the property each day.

This place is absolutely a dream. I didn’t want to leave. I couldn’t have spent my first baby moon anywhere else. Lua is a doll and super helpful, the pictures online don’t do the place justice. I went during the beginning of rainy season but it wasn’t so bad I still was able to enjoy lots of outdoor time where you can see monkeys, tons of butterflies and more wildlife right in the pool. There is construction next door but it wasn’t so bad. I would totally stay there again in a heartbeat!

Villa Pochote is a lovely house located just above Playa Hermosa. It has a great view of the jungle and ocean with monkeys and other wildlife. The house is well set up for a large family or group. The manager, Lua, was super responsive and helpful and the house was very well maintained. The house is in a gated compound with two other homes owned by the same group and is very private. The house is just a couple of minutes from Playa Hermosa, one of the most desirable locations in Santa Teresa with a lovely beach great for beginner surfers. It is a quiet family friendly part of Santa Teresa, with the occasional celebrity trying to be discreet. The house is on a good road (important in Santa Teresa) and is easy to get to but you will need a car or an ATV to get around. There are a couple of great restaurants in Playa Hermosa (Mantaraya) for coffee and breakfast but the bulk of the restaurants are a short drive farther down in Santa Teresa.

This villa was PERFECT. And Lua made our stay so easy and wonderful. We'd love to go again.

Villa Almendros is stunning. The pictures are accurate. The furnishings are high end. The beds are very comfortable which is not always the case in Costa Rica. The view is breath taking. The infinity pool is beautiful and warm. Lua is a great communicator and responsive to our questions. The house cleaners do a fabulous job. The only drawback is that the construction noise, as stated in previous reviews is real. You also see the entire construction site next to the villa as well. . You should be aware that you will see it and you will hear it. The construction workers are respectful. They're not playing loud music or being very loud just the sounds of the work. They stop promptly at four or five every day. Having said that, would we stay at Villa Almendros again if we knew about the construction? I believe the answer is a definite yes. It is just that beautiful.

Beautiful house with a cool modern design mixed with loads of wood. The house is a 2 minute ride to our favourite beach, playa hermosa. Emilio (manager, conciërge ) was very nice and helpful with everything, reservations, questions, etc, cleaning staff was immaculate, friendly and discrete. Our stay was perfect and we loved every minute of it, will be coming back for sure.

This home was perfect for our family of 4. Modern but cozy home with beautiful gardens and grounds. Every morning was full of birds chirping while you stare at the ocean. Emilio was a wonderful host. He greeted us at the house when we arrived and showed my boys how to poke a straw in a coconut. We were sipping coconuts by the pool in the first hour we arrived. Would love to come back!

PS: Power and Wi-Fi outages are common so be prepared to enjoy each others company when the time comes. PS: SUV (4x4 or AWD) is absolutely needed and will make your life way easier.

Once we stepped inside the gate, we were literally in our own private paradise. The house was beautiful and view was amazing. Pat and Bleu were always available to answer questions and to give suggestions. They were flexible with us when our plans changed a little and very supportive. We loved the area and the local beaches were amazing. I loved the beautiful gardens that surrounded the pool. The butterflies and humming birds added to the magic of it all. We will be booking again.

There are not enough words in the lexicon to describe Villa. Check in was flawless, the accommodation was immaculate and just the overall feel for the house is unmatched. As a modern world man, I struggled with not being able to flush toilet paper but you get accustomed with the many messages and signs that are posted. The food, the food, the food in the area is amazing - go to Manzu and ask for Daniel, he too is amazing! A huge shout out to Belu who checked in on us every day to ensure that our stay was going as planned and provided options where there were doubts. Great location and for sure we will be back!

Just like the rest of the reviews say, DO NOT HESITATE TO BOOK THIS PLACE! It is an absolute dream and exactly what I was looking for. A little difficult for taxis to find but if you have your own transportation, it is perfectly wonderful. 15/10 recommend!

The photos don’t do this house justice. It’s in a great location and the beaches nearby are just amazing. The concierge service that comes with the house made the whole trip 10 times better than we expected. It’s basically like having a friendly local who can recommend all the best places and things to do and solve minor issues that come up. If you are lucky enough to book this place you won’t regret it.

Best place I’ve ever stayed at in any Airbnb or hotel

We enjoyed our stay. They were very accommodating and the place was very comfortable, beautiful and clean. The home is a great layout with a great kitchen, in suite bathrooms and amazing pool area with stunning views.

Let me preface all of this admitting this was our rookie trip to Costa Rica. Aguamadera at Playa Hermosa did not disappoint! Perfect description and pictures. Clean. Secluded but close to town. Close to the beach - walk or drive. Some warnings, though. - Ferry ride is required unless you fly into Santa Teresa. - Drive in and out through Santa Teresa! Santa Teresa is close - not walking distance but close. - Power outages happen daily. When they did, some things needed to be reset - air conditioner in one room, water heater, and water pump. No worries! Everyone taking care of the property during our stay were great and quick to respond - daily cleaning crew, house and pool maintenance, and security guard. - On second floor under stairs to third floor, there is an open fall danger to stairs to lower floor. Take precautions. Watch young children. - Laundry facilities are available only to cleaning people. They will wash your clothes, though, if you like. Thank you, Pat! Great time!

The Villa is beautiful. It’s clean, well decorated, and very photogenic. 8 friends spent a few days there. We cooked, swam, took photos, etc. The roads are insane on the way there - not gonna lie - but that’s expected within this area. The beach near the villa is AMAZING. There’s cleaning service that comes daily. The plunge pool is heated. The property has an attendant/handyman on the premises 24/7. You’ll have your own personal concierge to buy groceries, recommend activities, etc. She is soooo accessible before and throughout your stay. Highly recommend.

This house is immaculate. It’s a very serene space with thoughtful design choices. It’s the perfect atmosphere to relax and take in the view while still feeling safe surrounded by nature. The hosts and staff are very friendly and full of recommendations to share. We loved our stay.
