This home and its nearby environs are a wonder to behold. The experience was enriched by the wonderful food prepared by Raquel and Ana, and Mauro was thoughtful and attentive the entire time. Perfect for those who are nourished most by beauty, the wonders of nature, fine architecture, cuisine, and excellent Mezcal (at the nearby magical Cobarde Bar). I was there for a personal retreat and am forever grateful for the inspiration and heart-achingly beautiful views. Mil gracias!

Wow! Casa Malandra is a very special place. Spectacular design and architecture, on a secluded, gorgeous beach — total zen. Ana and Raque prepared wonderful meals during our stay. The area is great, just enough small restaurants nearby for a few nights out. The restaurants at hotel Escondido and hotel Terrestre were great and the omakase restaurant was world class. Xiomara was very communicative; everyone and entire experience was lovely! We’ll be back!

The accommodation far exceeded the high expectations I had. The place is a very nice house with all the comforts and amenities you might need. Located on an incredible beach, within a 15/20 min walk along the beach of phenomenal locations by internationally recognized architects and artists, such as Casa Wabi and Hotel Terrestre, among many others. The staff and cooks are amazing, their attention and service are spectacular. The food was delicious, plentiful and cared for down to the last detail. Everyone at Casa Malandra has a great dedication to service and completely anticipates any needs that may arise. 10 out of 10 in every way. Not a single complaint, but quite the opposite, I intend to return with the people I want to share this wonderful space with year after year. Thank you for everything and congratulations on your phenomenal space and service!

Casa Malandra is nothing short of amazing! The house is impeccably designed and the area could not be more beautiful. We were in awe of how stunning everything was. The staff are phenomenal- the food and service was incredible. There is so much to do in the surrounding area, and the beach (which is right in front of the house) is breathtaking. One of the best properties I have stayed in, can’t wait to return!

From the moment you walk through the entrance of Casa Malandra, it feels like home. Beautiful design, quiet, clean, fresh cut flowers, and the beach - what more could you ask for? Our stay was nothing short of perfection. We decided to do the meal service and so happy we did. Although we felt we were eating all the time, everything was spectacular, from the fresh mango salsa prepared when we arrived, grilled lobster, ceviche, fresh fruit juices and everything in between. Delicious! Massage on the playa by Irasema was dreamy and just what we needed to relax on our last day at this incredible place. The staff is outstanding. We particularly enjoyed getting to know Mauro. And wow he can build one awesome fire on the beach. We enjoyed evenings sitting on the beach at sunset watching the fishermen standing high on the rocks and were even lucky enough to see whales migrating through. Highly recommend Casa Malandra and look forward to returning soon.

This place is the most airbnb have system at in my 10 years of being on this platform. The building and rooms are immaculate and awe-inspiring. The host is super responsive, and the staff are AMAZING. The food they make is some of the best I've had Mexico - worth splurging for, especially given how remote the location is (basically your only other option for food is the Hotel down the road or to lug it in from town 40 min away).

Hard to find anything negative to say; a fabulous quiet corner of Mexico, gorgeous empty beach, an amazing house with a very friendly staff, superb food. Discrete barefoot luxury, in a surprisingly sophisticated community west of Puerto Escondido

If you’re looking for a vacation from Heaven, this is your place. It was a dream. From check in to check out every single thing we could need was done. The house is more beautiful then the photos and the staff is beyond! The food was top notch. Just spectacular overall. Can not wait to be back

Casa Malandra could not be more incredible! The design of the home is mind blowing, where every detail has been thought of. Everything from the quality of the work (craftsmanship) and the furnishings are top-notch. The bedrooms are just as described with very comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms (all bedrooms have air conditioning). My wife and I spent a whole week there celebrating our anniversary and we have never been as relaxed, as we were at Casa Malandra. You’re basically on your own private beach, so your toughest decision in the morning will be to either enjoy the beach or the pool (If you are like me, you will do both every day). My wife truly enjoyed the massages on the beach by Irasema. Xiomara is a wonderful host. She always went above and beyond with any of our requests or inquiries. I can’t say enough good things about her hospitality (THANK YOU, Xiomara). Then there's the staff (Paola, Raquel, and Mauro) — they are truly EXCEPTIONAL! The food was delicious. Trust me, the home is amazing, but the food was out of this world. The staff truly made our trip special. We felt pampered the whole time and can’t wait to go back. Stop your search and stay here. You will love it!

Where to begin! This was my favorite airbnb ever, anywhere, and I will be dreaming of it for years to come. The house and property are stunning everywhere you look from every hour of the day. We loved how remote it was and and also how each of the few places you can walk to eat were delicious and charming. Xiomara was a wonderful host and gave excellent recommendations. (Highly recommend her recommendation, Irasema, for massage therapist!) Falling asleep hearing the ocean thunder against the shore was heaven.

Casa Malandra is simply amazing! The architecture of the house is phenomenal, the remote location at the beach front offers the perfect surrounding for a relaxing holiday! The staff at the house takes super good care of you, in case you stay for a couple of days make sure to book the cooking service as the food is simply super delicious! Also communication with Xiomara, our host, was super easy going and reliable. She also Organized Transport from and to the airport which all worked out well! Long story short: we loved our vacation at casa malandra and will for sure be back hopefully very soon! Thus we highly recommend this place to anyone :-)

This beautiful home was perfect for our group (2 small families with kids (9, 8, 6)). Every detail, including architectural, design, and vendor recommendations, was extremely thoughtful and high quality. The meal preparation was wonderfully done, and the local restaurants and activity providers were all top notch. This is a one of a kind stay, well worth the travel.

Lovely location and wonderful staff

The house is beautiful, you can expect it when you see the photos but it's still above what you can imagine. The swimming pool and direct access to the beach are an ultimate luxury and the stoves take care of meals wonderfully with the food we brought. If you are visiting Puerto Escondido I highly recommend it!

Stunning modern architecture that was notably impressive and still very comfortable. Close access to picturesque beach that felt private and secluded, with sunrise views and nighttime bonfires under the starry sky. We heard nothing but the waves all day and night and could not have been more relaxed throughout our stay. The staff were wonderful and cooked consistently delicious meals, every one tastier than the last. And Xiomara was a great host, with a surprise gift for our group on arrival, and was very responsive to all of our requests. In short, I could not recommend Casa Malandra any more. Go out of your way to stay here if you are so lucky.

Gorgeous

Amazing place. Right on the beach, fall asleep to the steady heartbeat of the waves. Large bedrooms and plenty of common space. You can do nothing very successfully and enjoyable, but there's also an incredible amount to do right nearby - shocking given the remoteness of the place. Casa Wabi, Kakurage Omakase, a lovely little mezcal bar, the most beautiful sauna you'll ever go to, hikes over the rocks to ever more remote beaches, horseback rides, and on and on. A vacation you'll remember.

Wow, go for the view, stay for the cooking. Casa Malandra is where you go to feel like you’re at the edge of the earth. Recharge, relax, reconnect to what matters, in conscious luxury. The staff are divine. Paola can COOK and is so warm a d welcoming, say yes to all the meals- you won’t want to leave. The space is super clean, comfortable, wifi is perfect (even all the way out there) we continued to work as needed, and the staff was hospitable and warm. What I really appreciated about Casa Malandra was the architects design combined with the simple yet minimal & refined taste of Xiomara. There’s an essence to the space that doesn’t photograph, that is only felt upon arrival. It’s typically called wabi sabi, and Casa Malandra has it! We can’t wait to return. You have our hearts.

Wow! If you’re looking to live out your dreams then, Casa Malandra is it! Truly a slice of heavenly paradise on earth. There is nothing I can suggest to improve on but only emphasize that our stay here was beyond excellent. The architecture was simply magnificent. The staff was so caring and payed attention to every detail. Food was very good! We felt right at home and had enough space to rest in a small group or friends. You are immersed in nature, the sound of waves and small animals bustling around. The Panoramic views up on the terrace of this place are incredible. There is plenty to do around town but not needed as you will find you will not want to leave this property. There is no need. This has been the best place we have visited to date! Which says everything! We hope you enjoy it as much or more than we did.
