Great place and what a view!

Gosh so much to rave about this place. The view is stunning, the house is updated, bright and inviting, and the location is super close to multiple beaches and a handful of restaurants and supermarkets. We used the pool every day to pass the hottest hours of the day, then spent afternoons at Playa Carrillo which was about an 8 minute drive down the road (we found it to be much less crowded and a touch nicer than Playa Samara). The kitchen had pretty much everything we needed to cook several nights and breakfast every morning. The washing machine and drying lines hung out back for super helpful for staying on top of laundry. Luis the caretaker was very quick to respond and help anytime we needed it. The only thing to note is there is only AC in the bedrooms. We did get somewhat used to the heat everywhere else in the house, and thankfully there are fans and door screens so you can get some cross breeze. Not a deal breaker, just something to prepare yourself for.

Very beautiful house in the heart of nature! We really enjoyed the calm and the magnificent view from this location. We were able to observe the fauna and flora and relax by the pool after days of excursions. A very nice place to experience the Pura Vida! Also, we found the location to be perfect and central for exploring this beautiful region. Very good service and excellent responsiveness from the host as well. Thank you so much!

Great location, beautiful view, very clean, private pool very much appreciated. Lots of animals; we had the privilege of seeing several howler monkeys in the morning. Very reasonable distance to the beach and grocery store. Great for family.

The house is wonderful, and the view is truly magnificent. The location is great, but you have to be mobile. In 4 minutes you are in the village of Samara with a great beach, and in 10 minutes you are at Playa Carrillo, which we liked much more. It was clean and well appointed. The pool is great, and the terrace is also very nice. We would have liked an umbrella, as it was very hot, so that the children would have had a little more shade in the pool. The house is flooded with light and has a beautiful design. But you can't darken the rooms at night. That means that from 5 AM, it is bright as day everywhere. That bothered us; we would have liked blinds or curtains. There is no air-conditioning on the lower floor, i.e., the living area; it is only in the bedrooms. There are fly screens on some windows, which is great. Communication with Shannon and Luis was friendly, quick and helpful. We would definitely stay in the beautiful house again.

Great choice!!! The views are truly incredible; the property is very large!! The view is fantastic, and the sunsets from the balcony are beautiful!!! The pool was a big hit, especially with the kids!! Communication and advice with Luis were easy and much appreciated. Thank you, I recommend it!!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Shannon's beautiful House of G. The location is so close to the town of Samara with the most spectacular views of the ocean. These views are hard to beat and we looked forward to coming back every night for sunset. It's peaceful and the house was so comfortable and well appointed. It even had a Vitamix so we could make fresh smoothies every morning with all the fresh mangoes. The town of Samara is very laid-back. We fell in love with it and will be back! Thanks Shannon, Luis and the beautiful House of G for allowing us to make such special memories.

We had an amazing stay at Shannon's place. The house itself was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed, including a blender for many fresh fruit smoothies! The view was spectacular from sunrise til sunset and we enjoyed watching birds and iguanas in the trees nearby. The pool was a great size for the kids and very welcome in the hot afternoons. Inside, the AC worked great upstairs and made for very comfortable sleeps. It was also an easy drive to the beach and "downtown" area of Samara (would have been too long/steep a walk with our kids but doable for adults). Would definitely recommend!!

After a stay in another villa in the "jungle", we chose this villa for the sea view. The views are absolutely beautiful!! And full sun all day, if that's what you're looking for. With the exception of 2 nights when the wind was too strong, we did not use the air conditioning, the room was amply ventilated to allow us to sleep comfortably. What a view of the sea and the sky at sunrise! 5-10 minutes by car from Samara, personally we would not have done it on foot on a busy road and without a shoulder to walk safely. Lots of power outages during our stay, but there was an abnormally strong wind all over Costa Rica. And Luis always responded very quickly to our messages. We enjoyed it!

I'm not sure what I can say about this place since the pictures say it all! The view is breathtaking and the architecture makes you feel so connected with the surrounding environment. Although it may seem a little pricey, when we compared it to what we paid for other Airbnbs while in Costa Rica it's actually good value considering how well constructed and thought out this place is. The host's guide book was very helpful and suggestions were great. We made the mistake of thinking we could walk into town from this Airbnb. I don't recommend it! The distance is too far in the heat and there are no sidewalks or respect for pedestrians in Costa Rica. You need a vehicle for this place! If we had our time back we would've rented the unit on the shaded side of the duplex. Although the sunny side has the best view, it is hot!

We were blessed to spend 10 days at House of G. From day one we felt right at home. The views are second to none, the pool and yard are spacious and the house is just the right size for a couple or two. From the bedroom deck we witness beautiful sunrises and sunset daily. The wildlife around the house included a family of howler monkeys in the tree looking toward the ocean as well geckos, parrots and iguanas. All the windows and doors had screens to keep the critter out. Luis the property manager was incredibly responsive and helpful. We purchased fish from his pescaderia on multiple occasions and grilled up delicious meals multiple nights on the gas grill. Already dreaming of our return! To say it was magical would be an understatement.

The house was the most relaxing place that we have ever stayed. The view is absolutely breathtaking. It was easy to get into town for restaurants, the beach, groceries or anything else you need. I would definitely get a 4x4, the road to the house is a little rough, but definitely worth it. There are plenty of activities close by or you can simply relax by the pool listening to the birds, howler monkeys and the ocean below. Shannon was very responsive and Luis the house manager answered any questions we had immediately during the stay. Highly recommend!

The house is great and has a nice location with great views. Access road a bit bumpy and unpaved but doable. Shannon is a great host and Louis helped whenever we had questions Will come again anytime Pura Vida
