We stayed at Casa Maca for a week three years ago and our kids insisted that we stay again when we returned to Merida. It was an excellent decision and we felt like we were back home. Casa Maca is a special place and is located perfectly to enjoy Merida.

A lovely stay. We really enjoyed the pool, which is a very good size. The house is beautiful, the rooms are nice, and the air conditioning cools the rooms very well. The kitchen was super functional and had everything you needed. We really enjoyed the living room where we shared wonderful family moments. The pool is in the shade all afternoon, and that was very good for cooling off. The washer and dryer were also very useful. Paseo Montejo is two blocks away, downtown is super close, and the gastronomic corridor is very close. I highly recommend this house. It's better than the photos.

Our stay at Casa Maca was incredibly pleasant. We felt right at home! We had everything you need to be comfortable. The rooms are very comfortable for sleeping, and the bathrooms and kitchen are very convenient and clean. The patio and the pool are a dream 😍 The house is just two blocks from Mérida's pretty street and a pleasant walking distance to downtown We'll definitely come back to this house 🥰

Our stay was simply spectacular. From the moment we arrived, the entire team was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to help us with anything we needed. The house far exceeded our expectations: it's beautiful, impeccable, and every space is carefully designed to make you feel at home. The house is very nice and matches the published photos. Communication with the host and his team was always good, and they always cleared up our questions. All the house's amenities were working and available. We had some issues with the Internet, but since there was no need to work from home, it wasn't a big problem in our case. The location of the house is excellent. You have several options for good coffee, food, shopping, etc. a few blocks away, and the area seems safe for walking. Parking is on the street, but we always find a spot nearby. I would definitely book this place again on my return to Mérida.

We had a fantastic long weekend in Merida. We were there for a wedding and it was extremely convenient to the festivities. The days were incredibly hot, so the AC was much appreciated and we spent plenty of time relaxing at the pool. Would definitely recommend this home!

Easily one of the best, if not best AirBnBs i've stayed in. Beautiful house, arguably looks better in real life. Has a really nice energy / layout, great for groups that want to socialise however have their own time apart - with separated bedrooms throughout. Perfect location in Merida, short-walk to the main plaza / lots of restaurant options. Everything was super clean (including the pool), and well kept. Luis and his team were super responsive and catering. Thank you all !

A spectacular house

My family and I stayed in Luis’s beautiful property. Everything was as described. Walkable to Paseo de Montejo; we happened to arrive on a weekend and was able to walk to the big avenue on Sunday morning for their Sunday community biking event. So fun! Great location and everything was well set up in the house for us and our kids (6 and 8 years old). The property managing team including Canela was proactive and responsive. The house is very impressive and would make an AMAZING event space.

Great home, very centrally located so you can walk to the restaurants and shops. The pool looks shallow in the pictures but it is 5 feet deep so better suited for adults and older kids. Overall we loved our stay

One of the most beautiful homes we have ever stayed in. It’s a beautiful and calm space to come and relax after a full day of touring the city. I loved the kitchen, it’s the heart of the house and the patio smelled amazing with that citrus tree.

Luis was a wonderful host, allowing us to check in quite early. This beautiful oasis is perfect for three couples each with their own little “zone” surrounded by an immaculately groomed, lush central courtyard. The pool is much bigger than it appears in the pictures, the kitchen is especially well appointed and equipped. So nice to have plentiful jugs of clean water, coffee, sugar, condiments, etc.. little touches like having a jug of cold water waiting for you in the refrigerator really were icing on the cake- perfect!

Stayed at Casa Maca for one week in February, very nice house, clean, fully equipped kitchen, great pool and courtyard with many restaurants within walking distance. The host and team are very responsive to questions. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous house. The neighborhood was excellent and conveniently located near the Paseo de Montejo, Plaza Grande, and lots of shopping and outstanding restaurants. The home itself is stunning and we lacked nothing during our stay. Excellent hosts, safe area, and an authentic Mérida experience!

Our group of 5 adults loved the houses's spaciousness & simple beauty. Walking in off the street, you pass through a huge foyer (with side TV room) & dining room, out to the lovely pool and courtyard. First floor bedrooms w/ ensuite baths are spaced out across the courtyard (with kitchen in between), and third bedroom/bath was upstairs with a separate patio. We all had plenty of privacy, as well as lots of space to gather. We didn't cook any meals, but there is space & lots of pans/dishes, etc. Appreciated the bottled water! Everything was very clean & hosts were responsive to all questions. On our last night a transformer blew out the block's electricity. We texted host who reported the issue & brought us a lighter & flashlights. Location is great: 2 coffee spots within a block, bakery, & Ramiro Cocina has excellent small dishes & drinks. Paseo de Montejo is 2 blocks over and Plaza Grande is 10-minute walk. Nearby electrical tower served as convenient landmark when walking "home".

Spent over a month at this excellent home away from home located in the best of places in town. We felt so safe, comfortable. Love love love the local joints, cafes, restaurants, museums. Robert is quick to respond and the team is quick to give heads up (eg, pool person not coming today, etc.). The layout of the house, w the upstairs bedroom and bath and patio, allows for maximum privacy. I used the upstairs when my friend left for my office and I hadn’t felt so productive in a long time. The pool was refreshing; we didn’t use heated. It’s beautiful. Mérida is home.

I would love to live in this house! So beautiful inside and out. The location was amazing! We could use the electric tower which was lit up for Christmas to guide us home at night. We walked everywhere. Restaurants, Paseo de Montejo, groceries, bakeries and coffee shops near by. The house was so comfortable, air conditioning worked perfectly and really appreciated the filtered water provided. Choose this place! It will make your trip to Merida fabulous!

The house is very nice, it is very close to the good restaurants in the center and not in a noisy area. I'd love to go back. I think it's a great place.

Truly a marvel.

We loved our stay at Casa Maca! The pictures do not do this property justice. It was our first vacation with our seven month old and we wanted a place that was walkable with a living space that made it feel like we were on vacation. This was the perfect place! We spent a majority of our time out in the courtyard. The pool was heated and was cleaned twice during our weeklong stay. Luis and Robert also recommended a private chef that came and cooked for us at the house, which was a phenomenal experience. It also is a great location. It was just a few blocks away from many great restaurants and about a 20 minute walk away from the main square. The only piece of feedback is that our showers were only lukewarm, but that might be just what you get in Merida. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful accommodations, walkable to coffee and restaurants. Nice deep dipping pool was wonderful day and night and loved the lush trees and greenery of the backyard. Great beds, no matress dips, loved the big dining area for family card games in the evenings. Great area for exploring, very safe day and night. Our outside street parking wasn't a problem, even during the festival. Gracias for everything!

The unit has great space for privacy while offering perfect social and cooking space. Most of the city is walkable from here and the neighborhood has great restaurants.

The property has everything you need and is walking distance to countless restaurants, museum etc. Each of the three bedrooms opens to the outside with no shared walls. A great choice for a multigenerational family trip or group of couples / friends. Luis’ recommendations were all perfect.

This is a wonderful house! It was even more beautiful in reality than in the pictures. A beautiful oasis of tranquility and luxury in the middle of the city. Everything was spotless, the house is very luxurious and spacious and Luis was very responsive throughout our stay.

My family and I had a wonderful stay here at Casa Maca! We felt right at home right away. We were comfortable the entire stay. The layout provides privacy and areas to commune together. We appreciated the use of the washing machine and dryer since our stay was 11 days. The location is EXCELLENT. Right off of Calle 60 which leads you to all of the plazas we like: Santa Ana, Santa Lucia and Plaza Grande. Walkable to restaurants, farmacias, and coffee shops. We really appreciate where this home is situated in Centro.

this location was ideal for easy access to restaurants and the sights. very well appointed rooms. each with it's own bathroom. The pool was a great feature. Luis was extremely responsive and very helpful. We would certainly recommend this property and would hope to come back again.

Casa Maca was a beautiful home on a quite street in Merida. Luis place had a beautiful charm, at the centre of the house was a lovely pool area which was maintained by Luis staff twice a week. We throughly enjoyed our stay here and had everything we needed for our stay. Luis was quick to communicate whenever we had any questions. thanks for a wonderful place to stay.

Amazing location, beautiful place

This home is absolutely gorgeous, more than anything we could have imagined. Luis was extremely attentive and welcoming. The house is incredibly spacious, with a beautiful courtyard center. We were central to so many wonderful parks, restaurants, and next to a delicious coffee and breakfast location. The heat did take some getting used to, so the pool made all the difference. My kids lived in that pool and loved every minute of it! I will defiantly be booking with Luis in the future.

We absolutely loved our stay at this house in Mérida. From the very first moment, everything was perfect. The house was spotlessly clean, beautifully designed, and fully equipped — you can really tell there’s great attention to detail in every corner. We especially enjoyed the kitchen — it was comfortable and well-stocked. We cooked several times and really felt at home. Without a doubt, a place we’d love to return to!

If 6 stars was an option we would give it that. The place was comfortable but also visually stunning and was the perfect oasis in the city for us to relax and regroup in the heat of the day. We will definitely be back!

This is an absolutely beautiful property that is thoughtfully appointed with all the items you need to make you feel at home from the moment you walk in the door. From AC in all bedrooms to the brand new sponge in the sink with the packaging still intact , you’ll find just about everything you can think of . The house is spacious and clean , the courtyard area is tranquil and breezy , and the location is perfect to walk into town and to many restaurants . A very comfortable home within easy access to some great restaurants in Calle 47. The accommodation is distributed around a courtyard so may not suit families with younger kids. Great hosts. Be sure to accept offer to get groceries on first day as the nearest super market is a 6-8 min taxi away.

Absolutely perfect house both for relaxing and for exploring Mérida. It is beautifully designed, immaculately clean and cared for, and so comfortable. We are a family of 4 with children aged 11 and 14 and was perfectly laid out for our needs. The courtyard garden with its fountain and small pool is a peaceful green oasis. We loved how quiet the house was at night with none of the bedrooms facing the street (which is very quiet in any case). The showers were strong with lots of hot water and the beds and pillows a dream. Communication was quick and friendly. Finally the location is great, slightly away from the centre and plaza grande but still only a 10-15 min walk and lots on your doorstep - places to eat, shops and also sights like paseo Montejo, museum of anthropology etc. Wish we could have stayed longer than 2 nights! A spectacular property and convenient location to the restaurants on 47th street in Centro. The rooms were spacious and the maintenance was exceptional.

Casa Maca is a beautiful oasis in Merida -- a wonderful retreat after long, hot days walking Centro, visiting Uxmal and Izamal, cenotes, etc. We would definitely return!

This home is a magical oasis in the city. Every decor detail is artistic and expertly curated, from the tiles to the old-world furniture to the modern wall hangings. And there was no better part of our day than lounging by our private pool. We loved our stay!

Casa Maca was perfection! Luis was communicative and provided clear check in instructions to make getting there super easy! Check ins in Merida all seem to be at 11 and 4 which made it difficult with switching airbnbs, but Luis allowed us some flexibility with when we checked in and out which was super appreciated! The house is absolutely gorgeous and has literally everything you need — a gorgeous pool, AC, a TV to stream your favorite shows at night, showers with great water pressure and temperature, coffee and a coffee maker, great wifi…. the list goes on! It’s also in a great location a short walk to town! Definitely book on a Sunday and walk 5 minutes to rent a cheap bike and ride around town when the streets are closed! We absolutely loved our stay at this wonderful home. We had small children and grandparents with us and it was the perfect setting for all. Beautifully decorated just as the pictures portray. This house came with every amenity one might need. It was clean, quiet and a true oasis in the city. We spent hours in the beautiful, heated pool every day too. Location is prime. We walked to amazing restaurants, shops, and parks in minutes. Luis and Robert were always responsive if we had questions or needed help with anything! I can’t say enough good things about this house! Worth the price for sure! Thank you for a great stay and we can’t wait to return!

An oasis in the middle of Merida! We loved our stay. Everything was exactly as described, clean and beautiful. The kitchen had everything we needed and even a cocktail kit to make margaritas. The layout is perfect for 3 couples to have their own space and each bedroom was big with ensuites. We tried 4-5 restaurants based on Luis’ recommendations and they were all fantastic. Highly recommend and we would stay again!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Luis’ place! The house is absolutely incredible, you feel like you’re in your own private oasis. The house is right off of Calle 60 which is the main strip full of gorgeous restaurants, boutique shops, gorgeous cathedrals, parks and lovely cafe’s. I felt safe walking around at night or on my own. Luis’ co-host Robert was fantastic. Very responsive, quick to resolve any minor issues we had with grace and kindness. Their driver and tour guide recommendations were great too! Mérida holds a special place in my our hearts :) We will definitely be back!

An excellent place to stay and get to know Mérida

Everything very nice and comfortable, the house is spacious and with quite a few spaces, very well located, very clean, and has everything you need. We ordered the heating for the pool and it was very comfortable.

Fantastic. Thought has not only been put into the design of the house but also to anticipating guest’s needs. Towels are abundant and handy. Well stocked kitchen. Some cold beers in fridge. Comfortable bedding. Wi-Fi is fast. We stayed over Christmas time (2024-2025) so encountered a special treat - there’s a prominent electrical tower next door that is lit up like a giant Christmas tree and you can use it to navigate home. Location is just about perfect.

We had a wonderful stay. I’m an architect and appreciated the design, natural light, color and sanctuary created with the courtyard. We were a couple with our 5 year old child accompanied by our friend with their child and having separate areas and a separate kitchen was a nice way to accommodate different sleeping schedules and routines. Lovely pool and the kitchen was perfect. Great location, close to restaurants and activities. Highly recommend!

We wanted a home from home & got so much more! Even before we arrived Luis was very accommodating, replying promptly to any questions. Casa Maca is a stunning home, very well presented with everything you need; large comfy beds, a well equipped kitchen, beautiful garden & a good pool. The property is in a great location with plenty of restaurants & bars nearby. This was our first trip to Merida but won’t be our last & we hope to stay at Casa Maca again in the future. Our family of four had a truly wonderful stay - thank you.

Excellent stay, very good location and the house is beautiful

Beautiful place that can accommodate 6 people easily. There are three bedrooms, a sitting/TV area and a small pool to dip in and cool down. The location is great, easy to walk to Montejo and Downtown Mérida, close to many restaurants and shops. Parking was super easy on the street. The AC units in the bedrooms worked great, but there is no AC in the dining room or kitchen, but sitting in the outdoor table under the fan was very comfortable in October.

This hacienda was the highlight of our trip. The vibrant colors and lovely surroundings made you feel like you were in an oasis outside of the city. It’s easy to spend all day here without ever leaving the house. It was a lovely stay and we’d definitely stay again in the future. Highly recommended.
