My family has had family reunions for several years together and Juan's house in La Ventana was the best place we've ever stayed. It was the off season so it was a little hot but we were able to get the small town feel. Everyone was very friendly. Juan was very helpful in taking care of any need we had. Shut the gate out front though! Cows will help themselves to the yard if the gate isn't shut.

This house was perfect for my friends and me! We didn't want to leave - between the stunning views, pool and beach access, it was a dream. Juan also introduced us to Rafa, who helped prep food and drinks at the house for our arrival. Both Juan and Rafa made sure to check in that we had everything we needed for our stay. 12/10 I would recommend!!!

The house is right on the beach! The entire space is incredibly spacious, so even with a large group, everyone had plenty of room to relax. The pool was amazing and even goes up to 2 meters deep, which was a lot of fun. The only minor issues were that the showerhead was a bit clogged and the tap water tasted a little salty. Other than that, everything was absolutely perfect. We would definitely love to come back if we get the chance!

Juan’s home was perfect for our family visiting la ventana for a family wedding. The pool was perfect temperature. The property is well maintained and had everything we needed.

Juan's place was amazing and a great host. Beautiful private and spacious house right at the beach. Easy for the kiters to get right into the water and the rest of the people to chill at the pool or get an amazing coffee next door. Super clean, with good amenities and many beds and bathrooms (all including AC but did not need it). Great for a group (we stayed with 12 people). Juan was a great host, very fast to respond, flexible and super proactive in communication. Would 100% recommend this place!

We stayed at Juan Alberto's house on our last visit to La Paz. The house is very comfortable, both the beds and the bathrooms, the kitchen and the rest of the house were clean, equipped and cozy. The house is located about 50 minutes from the La Paz esplanade, in an area that has enough restaurants, cafes and shops to be able to stay without leaving the area. The common areas allow you to enjoy beautiful views and spectacular sunrises. We enjoyed the pool and kayaks that are available for guests to use. We were also able to enjoy the patio and terrace and use the grills for our family meal. The beds are comfortable and each room has its own bathroom, allowing privacy for large groups. We all enjoyed the house very much, and would stay there again. Juan Alberto was always very friendly and accessible for any questions we might have. We highly recommend the stay. We felt at home.

This was a very nice house in a spectacular setting, with great views of the ocean and a nice beach. The house was clean and the kitchen was well-stocked with cooking implements. The rooms were spacious and the bathrooms were fully functional. The pool was nice and very clean. The host was very responsive and had great local recommendations. On the downside, the furniture is dated and worn. And the walkway down to the beach is quite rickety and needs to be rebuilt. All in all, a very nice place!

Juan was an exceptional host. The home is, as in the pictures, traditionally Baja and there was one room with a shower issue. He took care of immediately and was always proactive to ensure everything was in order and we were happy.

Our group of nine adults had a fabulous stay at Juan's home in La Ventana. First and foremost, the location and views are spectacular. Nothing beats having your morning coffee on the patio with a view of the Sea of Cortés and having direct access to the beach. The property is enormous with plenty of space for our group to spread out. The bedrooms are simple and spacious with natural light and beautiful views. As others have noted, the property is a bit dated but we enjoyed the laid back vibe. The kitchen is on the smaller side (no dishwasher or real oven) but we had two delicious meals cooked for us at the house by Chef Rafa (highly recommend) and enjoyed great food at several restaurants in town. Juan is an incredibly responsive host - replying to questions and providing recommendations instantly. He will take great care of you! Silvestre coffee shop makes really, really good coffee. Car is super helpful.

We just got back from Juan's home after a week stay there & we can't stop talking about what an amazing vacation it was. I reviewed and compared homes all over the el sargento/la ventana coast for weeks & am SO glad we chose Juan's home. My priority was beachfront/beach access with a pool & several rooms. It was a group of 10 of us who came to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday. Our days were filled with mimosas by the pool, kids splashing for hours, soaking in sun in privacy, hammock/book time, kids napping in the quiet upstairs rooms, dinners on the moonlit patio, calm warm morning beach swims/snorkeling, private chef dinner, sunrise paddleboarding, fishing with a local & the restaurant preparing our fresh mahimahi for dinner, coffee on the upstairs balcony with incredible views, night pool swims... we felt safe, loved how much room the home/grounds had for us all to spread out, everyone slept great (every room has A/C!), all in all a dream vacation & we can NOT wait to come back!

I highly recommend this place. The house is very comfortable and spacious. It has excellent amenities that make your stay pleasant. Juan takes care of even the smallest details, even leaving sunscreen, repellent and amenities for our stay. The beach in front of the house is beautiful, clean, without stones. There are kayaking and water sports accessories inside the house. He provided us with beach umbrellas, and we were able to spend a quiet day. everything was extremely clean, which we loved. It has parking and a cafe next door that can get you out of any trouble.

My family and I enjoyed this stay, the house has an incredible view, excellent cleanliness, plenty of space for large families like ours, we loved it. Juan Alberto is very kind and attentive at all times.

It's a super comfortable and safe place

This villa is awesome!!!The price is cheaper than the hotel we booked last year. We came for the manta rays. This villa is close to the sea, and it takes only a minute or two to drive.The villa is very large, the kitchen and living room are very large, the washing machine, refrigerator, and barbecue are all complete, and there are also thoughtful toiletries, towels, beach towels, hair dryers, mosquito repellent, sunscreen, and seasoning, and they also gave us wine and snacks.We like to sit outside and eat, watch the sunrise and sunset every day, directly at the sea.The hotel also has a swimming pool, which is very large, with kayaks and swimming rings.And the hotel has stairs that go directly down to the beach to board the boat.The Host is friendly and responds to all questions in a timely manner.We will be back in the future!

Great space, for groups of women, friends, family. A very spacious place, equipped kitchen, enough dishes, coffee makers, refrigerators, pool with space for a bar and minibar, bathrooms, showers, barbecue area, washing machine, everything you could want at home. A clean and very nice place, rooms with private bathrooms and air conditioning. A beautiful place to rest.

Our stay here was excellent. We had a group of four adults and four teenagers. There was more than enough space for everyone to spread out and have their own space. Places to hang out together as well as for the adults to hide from the kids (or vice-versa😂) The description mentions the stairs to the beach and there definitely are, however the SUP’s, kayaks and good swimming made it a fun place to play right in front of the house. The kitchen is stocked well enough, the pool is clean, the grounds are large and maintained, the house is spacious, and the view over the Sea of Cortez would be hard to top. We were there to go diving (shout out to Angelo and La Ventana Dive Shop, they were absolutely awesome) The boat ramp is a minute from the house so the location could not have been better for us. La Ventana is a small laid back town but with enough amenities that we had no need to go anywhere else during our week long stay. Would definitely return.

the house is fantastic, our group of 15 was very comfortable there. its not super walkable to grocery stores and activities - we didnt rent a car but wish that we had. its right on the beach and has easy access to kayaking, snorkeling, swimming etc. juan was super helpful and responsive. he got a second pack and play for us, recommended a shuttle driver from the airport, and answered all our questions. would definitely stay there again!

This house is super spacious super private. The view is spectacular looked forward to waking up every morning and having my coffee and seeing that amazing view. Hosted my Birthday Destination there. Juan was incredible always quick to respond and beyond accommodating and helpful! Can’t wait to be back!

Very large property located on a cliff with incredible views of the ocean. Fenced in yard with private stairs down to the beach. The property is dated but well taken care of. Very secure and in a great location. You can kite right from the beach at the bottom of the stairs. Very dog friendly.

This was a great place to stay. It is huge. We only had 3 couples and each basically had our own wing which was great. I feel like this place is a really good deal. The location is also good, and the rickety stairs to the kite beach were not an issue for our group. The place is definitely not new and it is a little funky, but we all loved it and would go back in a heartbeat.

Absolutely great place, centrally located in town with a great little coffee shop right out front. Tons of room in the house with an even better outdoor space would definitely stay here again and Juan was a great host!

this place is great for large groups. we had 13 guests, but felt like we had plenty of space. I would recommend this place to my friends.

Older house very clean. Path to the beach is on rickety wood stairway. Better path around the house south of house. Wedding group so a beautiful place to catch up with friends. Right next to a great bakery and the Thursday produce market. Definitely a better price than most of the rentals with fantastic views. Though it is about 1/2 mile walk to more restaurants and bars in either direction.. Only complaint was one slightly used 5 gallon bottle of drinking water didn’t last long with 16 people. Luckily someone had a car.

A fairly spacious house with access to the beach directly. The very spacious rooms and with their respective bathrooms most. Very nimble communication with Juan. The house is approx. 45 min from La Paz, and is an excellent place to disconnect and enjoy the beach and climate.

It is a very nice, large and open house, which allows coexistence, although if it lacks maintenance and enable the light plant.

Wonderful house for our big family. Very spacious inside and out. Beach was not as easily accessible as we had expected. One of the bedrooms can only be entered from an outdoor private entrance or through another bedroom inside the house. Overall it is a beautiful home and Juan is a very responsive host.

Nice stay at the General’s House. Very big and spacious. Easy enough beach access. Once on the beach, it is an amazing beach for kiteboarding with a pole for self launches.

The house is beautiful. We celebrated my husband’s birthday with friends and enjoyed the peaceful serenity. We took our two dogs and the space was fenced and perfect. I would recommend you suggest no workers come during your stay, if you are an early riser. Gardener arrived at 7 am and the sun rose at 6:45. We had a catered meal from a local caterer and we were scheduled for a boat trip to the island…..too windy and cold. Overall a great place to get away from the hectic life of Cabo

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Vista del Mar! The house and grounds were a perfect place from which to enjoy La Ventana. We brought extended family and it was so nice to have so many bedrooms for everyone to have their own space. Juan Alberto was very helpful with local recommendations, including connecting us with a chef who came to the place to prepare several meals for us (highly recommend doing that!).

This was a perfect place to stay for a large group. The location is great with stunning views. When one of the AC units stopped working, Juan was very responsive and came and fixed it right away. Would definitely stay here again!

This house was exactly what we needed. We had a large group and this house fit everyone with lots of space. Juan was very helpful he responded quickly to any questions I had. I’m very happy with our stay here I would definitely recommend this house.

Overall its a beautiful home. Pros: Easy check in. The host was very attentive. The house is big with plenty of beds. Each room has a shower and a restroom. There is a restaurant right next to the house. The house is located about 50 min away from the airport. (We rented a car, l recommended you do so as well). The beach is beautiful and in a peaceful location. You will only see neighbors. There was plenty of blankets and towels. Cons: some of the restrooms did not have hot water. Host was very accommodating and sent someone to fix it. One of the restrooms was clogged. The internet is not the best. The stairs to the beach were not the safest. Be very careful.

Juan is an excellent host, he is always super attentive to your questions and needs, the house is very large, I went with 10 adults and it still felt like there was room for more people. In the afternoon or morning it has an impressive view that is totally worth it, on the other hand the rooms were clean and the only recommendation I have is about maintenance since several doors, windows or garden areas looked quite neglected. Thank you for everything and we hope to be back soon.

Juan was a great host and made things very easy! It is a large place that's great for a big group. Amazing views and a great place to experience La Ventana. It is slightly outdated and the stairs down to the beach are a little sketchy, but aside from that, this place was hard to beat!

Highly recommended. The house is ideal for spending a great weekend with friends because of its large size and comfort. The owner was super attentive and always communicating with us when we needed something. All rooms have air conditioning, and the areas are spacious and comfortable.
