As first-time guests, the place did not disappoint and met our expectations 100%. Jonathan is in charge of attending to the guest's needs and, since we arrived, he was attentive to ensure that we didn't lack anything. Despite being in a private area and uphill from the first square of the village, you have to take an extremely pleasant walk of no more than 10 minutes and you have full access to what you need – cafes, restaurants and the beach – to spend the day, and then return to the enviable privacy that this accommodation offers. You can't miss waking up at dawn and enjoying the unforgettable picture-postcard view from the upper terrace; the furniture available in that area couldn't be more welcoming. Without a doubt, if you want to enjoy a beach location with the popularity of Sayulita, and at the same time have the privilege of privacy in a place that allows you to relax, look no further. This place is for you.

A great place! The pool was lovely and the house itself was wonderful. The house manager was responsive and kind when we had questions or needed help. Loved the outdoor shower and the comfortable beds. The A/C and strong water pressure were nice bonuses. Loved our stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this establishment. It is conveniently located within walking distance of downtown shops and restaurants. The property was exceptionally clean, and the pool was an impressive feature. The only issue we encountered was with the golf cart provider. One of our golf carts broke down, leaving us to walk. However, this incident is unrelated to the house itself and serves as a cautionary note for potential renters. Fortunately, Jonathon and his wife, who are the primary contact points for the property, promptly found us a replacement golf cart within an hour and delivered it to our accommodation. Their prompt and efficient response was commendable. I wholeheartedly recommend this property for future stays. The group we were with was exceptionally enjoyable.

Fantastic stay! Craig and Jonathan were incredibly responsive and helpful from the start. Jonathan was accessible all throughout our trip when we had questions and needed help. The pool was cleaned, gardeners came, and cleaning lady came regularly. We didn’t need cleaning daily as we had kids sleeping, but we grabbed new towels when we needed. The house itself was perfect for my family of four. We had everything we needed, AC kept us comfy and cool, and the kids loved the pool. We rented a golf cart which was key for the big hills, and added to our Sayulita adventure. Well worth the money, we will be back!!

This is a great location, at the top of “gringo hill.” It’s definitely walkable but if you plan to spend time outside of the downtown core of Sayulita you should consider a golf cart.

From booking, the host was very communicative. He helped with local recommendations and transportation, making our stay easier. The home itself is beautiful. The pool is perfect for lounging and the kitchen is stocked with everything you need to make your own meals. We would definitely return!

Would definitely stay here again! Beautiful private setting. Loved the pool. We had come down for a family surfing trip. But right before we came, my son tore his Achilles and we had to adjust. This place would be perfect to walk down to town for a day of surfing. But it worked out perfectly to just hang out by the pool. We brought games and cards. It’s a quiet location above the hustle of the town but easy enough to walk. 10 minutes and 160 feet of elevation. We had a great week. Thanks again for the hospitality!

We had six people and it was enough room.. The little pool was our refuge with an eight month baby. The younger ones walked the hill back and forth but with a baby and bad hip it was nice to have the golf cart. Lots to do, some of our group went deep sea fishing and caught lots. Another group went horseback riding on a beautiful ride through the jungle to a quiet beach.

The pictures don’t truly capture the beauty and privacy of the bungalow. Extremely private and located atop Gringo Hill, Craig’s place is away from the hustle of downtown, and was super quiet at night. Highly recommend a golf cart to get around, although the walk up the hill probably burns off at least enough calories for one more taco at Mary’s!

Absolutely beautiful. One of the best AIRBNB’s out there. Pool was beautiful and warm. Tub was other worldly! By far the best thing was the length the host took to make sure anything we needed was provided. I would absolutely come here again. In fact if I knew he was selling this place, I would buy it in a second.

La Isla Bonita was truly a magical escape for our family. The house and grounds were absolutely beautiful and quite tranquil after spending time in downtown Sayulita. Everything was as Craig said it would be - the house was very clean, tidy and comfortable and didn't feel too overwhelming just for our family of three. I can't say enough about Jonathan! He was responsive, kind and super helpful with anything we needed. Definitely recommend a golf cart! We had a blast zipping around town and were thankful to have some respite from the hills. I could not recommend a stay at La Isla Bonita more! Great for families or small groups who enjoy a little bit of their own oasis. PS - don't sleep on the mango/plaintain/star fruit trees!

Our stay at La Isla Bonita was magical! Such a beautiful house was perfect for our family. Jonathon was fantastic and so helpful with getting transportation & golf cart booked. Would definitely come back!

This place is a great location! We needed a crib and Johnathan was super helpful getting us one. The property is walking from town but up a hill. We had a golf cart which made getting around even easier. Place pumps the AC so even when it was sweltering outside we were very comfortable inside. Great spot with a kiddo, too!

My boyfriend and I shared a wonderful experience at the house with the perfect amount of seclusion and accessibility to the town. It’s a very beautiful space especially the outdoor pool area with all of the beautiful landscaping. Lots of very cute lizards scurrying about. We were impressed with just about everything related to our stay.

We absolutely loved our time at Isla Bonita - it felt like paradise! It's a gorgeous oasis tucked away in the hills above Sayulita but was still very close to the town (we rented a golf cart with the help of our hosts). Beautiful outdoor space/garden, amazing pool, comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms. We would 100% come back in a heartbeat!

This property is fantastic. It is located at the top of Gringo Hill, surrounded by nature and very clean and private. The pool is wonderful, and Jonathan the property manager was awesome to deal with. He was responsive leading up to our arrival - arranging our transportation to/from PVR airport, our golf cart and even massages later in the week. We definitely suggest a golf cart. Sure you can walk up and down Gringo Hill, but you may want to explore the other areas of Sayulita - it’s worth it. Truly, there was nothing bad to say about the property. Highly recommend staying here. We will be back for sure!

We had the most wonderful stay! The place is beautiful and perfect for four adults and two young children. Jonathan was extremely accommodating and always responsive if we had any questions. We spent so much time in the pool and cooking in the kitchen. Downtown Sayulita was very lively and we were so glad to come back to such a quiet and peaceful spot. Jonathan arranged for a driver to take us to and from the airport and we rented a golf cart, which came in handy with my children and older parents. The only thing that was unexpected was that we thought there would be a crib, since it was shown in the photos. But Jonathan was very helpful and found us a pack n play right away. We would definitely come back!

Had a really great stay at this beautiful oasis. The house was clean and very spacious for our family of 4. The beds are really comfortable and the pool was perfect for our kids (age 4 & 6). Although it’s a hike up the hill from town our kids had no issues doing it a couple times a day. So glad we had the opportunity to stay here.

Several amenities stood out: beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and big water cooler with filtered water. The grounds were very private and appealing. The hosts were very helpful and responsive to our special requests and offered to assist with airport transfers and our golf cart rental. Overall... great spot

We absolutely loved our stay here and Craig was a wonderful host! The house was beautiful and clean. Only note is that it is in an area that is less walkable (on a steep hill) so would definitely recommend a golf cart to get around town.

La Isla Bonita was perfect for a friends trip to Mexico! The home’s layout was open and spacious, perfect for conversations and having fun. We had a chef cook for us one night and enjoyed it at the large outdoor dining table. My favorite part was the incredible saltwater pool! We spent a lot of time in the pool, day and night. Everything in the home was clean and maintained daily by a maid (make sure to bring extra pesos to tip). Check in was very easy, and 3 gate codes left us feeling very safe and secure. There was even a small safe with a key in the master bathroom to store your passports and other possessions. The hosts were helpful with booking luxury transport to and from PVR ($200 usd each way) and a golf cart. Jonathan & Craig made it easy for us to enjoy our vacation! We would definitely come back.

This was a wonderful spot for a trip with friends! Close (but not too close) to the beach and nightlife and the house is beautiful, clean, comfortable, and convenient. The hosts were kind and responsive as well. Highly recommend!

Jonathan (the manager) went above and beyond to make our stay amazing! When the washer didn’t work, he personally took our laundry and had it washed and folded for us. He made sure we had everything we needed the entire time. The pool is beautiful and perfect! This host is extremely accommodating!!! I cannot recommend this casa enough.

Our stay at La Isla Bonita was so wonderful and peaceful, it is such a gorgeous house, and super private. The house manager Jonathan is outstanding, and went out of his way to help us with whatever we needed. It was especially lovely to have a pool, and escape the busy beach. This was definitely a highlight for us!! They had a golf cart there for us when we arrived (that we rented) and it was well used and definitely a necessity if your going to town daily with a toddler, it’s quite a big hill. The house was perfect, it had everything for cooking that we could have needed! The beds were quite firm, but still comfortable. It’s rare to find two king beds in a house. We were really happy with that! If you are coming with a baby/ toddler there are exposed stair cases to be aware of. Such a wonderful experience, and great place to stay in Sayulita. We would absolutely love to come again 🙌🏽

My family of four and I stayed at La Isla Bonita for 2.5 weeks. It was a wonderful stay and the space was sooo relaxing and private. Jonathan, who was our local host, was very attentive and always responsive. He helped arrange for airport transportation, local golf cart transport, and generally had the best vendors to use for anything we wanted. It was a great holiday and Sayulita was a fun town as well as being close enough to San Pancho and Punta Mita. This airbnb location was at the top of the hill so a golf cart was definitely helpful but you could also walk assuming you didn't have too many things to carry or little kids that may get tired easily. Overall the airbnb layout was great, beautiful design, and the pool was excellent. Would recommend this space and generally five stars all around.

We had the most beautiful time here! The interior courtyard with the pool is magic, and a great place to recharge after spending some time down the hill in town. Our group was three couples and a toddler and had plenty of space. Craig and Jonathan are wonderfully responsive and the house is clean and well stocked with basic toiletries and kitchen items. Definitely take them up on their offer to coordinate a golf cart rental, as it’s a steep walk up otherwise, but this is the perfect rental.

Craig and his house manager Jonathan were outstanding. They preemptively inquired about a golf cart rental, airport transfers, private chefs and responded very quickly. The house was just as described, actually even better! We shared this rental with another couple and their toddler, and there was plenty of space and privacy for everyone. The house was well supplied, and there was a bonus of daily light housekeeping. The pool was outstanding. We didn’t end up using a golf cart, and made the trek up the hill 3x/day, we acclimatized quickly! We would highly recommend this rental, and would love to stay again!

Beautiful house with a great layout for our family. Even more perfect than the photos! Great location in Gringo Hill. Right next to Terrenal market and Tranco market where we did much of our grocery shopping. Definitely rent a golf cart to get up and down the hill. Jonathan is a wonderful manager and was available at all times to assist us. We had an issue with our golf cart rental and the electricity and Jonathan was able to fix everything for us in a timely manner. Daily house keeping kept the house immaculate. We truly enjoyed our stay and wish it could have been even longer!

Craig’s house is a great oasis at the top of Gringo Hill in Sayulita. It’s really nice to have a secluded house with a pool to retreat back to when looking for a change of pace from the busy town beach or shopping/eating in town. Definitely recommend getting a golf cart because the hill is steep, but it’s doable without one if you’re okay with the workout. The space is awesome and the personnel are super attentive for anything you need. We highly recommend this house and hope to come back soon!

This place is beautiful with the perfect location. The home is a short golf cart ride down into town for meals, shopping or going to the beach. I would definitely recommend getting a golf cart for your stay. Johnathan arranged our ride to and from the home and was always quick to answer any of our questions. The pool was the perfect addition for cooling off after walking through town or if we weren’t quite ready to head down to the beach. We didn’t use the kitchen much at all but appeared to be fully stocked and ready for any meal prep or cooking. We hope one day to be able to return in the area and would stay here again if available.

this place is amazing, just like the pictures and more. the cleaning staff and Jonathan were so helpful, their readiness to help was impressive. the house and pool were super clean, it was our little oasis after a long day at the beach or in town. the house is roomy with great AC, which was really needed. also provided were beach towels, chairs and umbrella; great pluses we enjoyed. we were able to do an early check in, for check out, our flight was delayed a few hours and Jonathan was so gracious to let us do late check out. it is 7-10 min walk to town, recommend renting a golf cart as the walk up may be tough, specially in the hot weather. Overall, greatly recommended for an enjoyable time in Sayulita.

The property was very well maintained and very clean. The pool was a great option to have after beach days. The pool and maintenance staff were very good. The home is in great shape.

This was truly 5 stars and if I could give it more I would. The villa is awesome. Lounge, bedrooms, bathrooms all exactly what you need. Beds huge and super comfy, bathrooms are super cool, huge bath and mirrors and the kitchen is very well equipped. Perfect little chill spots with the hammock on one balcony and the nice coffee spot on the other balcony upstairs, plus it was super cool to access the roof and look at the stars at night. The pool is perfect and feels super tropical with all the palm trees and plants around. Jonathan was also wonderful. Incredibly easy check in, arranged us transport to and from the airport and any time we wanted to venture out of Sayulita. Also recommended us taco spots and surf rental. And when we were leaving and there was an issue with transport he immediately covered it and got us a new driver and took care of everything. If you’re looking in Sayulita this is absolutely the place.

My partner and I fell in love with this home and with the town and people of Sayulita. It's a dream home in every way. We will definitely be back! Jonathon was absolutely wonderful, he arranged our airport transfer and golf cart directly to the house which made things super easy.

This place truly feels like an oasis. We loved hanging out at the pool or on the roof or around the kitchen. The interior was so cool, which was a respite from the July heat. The beds were very comfortable, too. Would definitely recommend staying here if you’re visiting Sayulita.

We loved staying at La Isla Bonita! Jonathan, the house manager, created us upon arrival and had great communication with us throughout our stay. The villa was clean and was even better than the pictures. Very spacious downstairs for hanging out with friends. The villa is super close to town but I do recommend renting a golf cart through Jonathan, as the hills are steep coming up to the villa. Would definitely stay here again!

Jonathan answered any questions we had and helped arrange a private chef to cook at the home. We had the best week in sayulita! It was so clean and anything we needed we were able to get quickly because the communication was so awesome. The location was perfect. It was a beautiful walk into town but away from all of the business. Perfect for families. We will definitely stay here again next time we come!

This place was 10/10, right up the hill from town and very easily accessible by golf cart! The house was gorgeous and the pool was perfect! Beds were comfy and the daily cleaning service was exceptional! Definitely coming back!

This place was AWESOME. The pool area offers all sorts of perfect shade throughout the day, the rooms stay cool and the kitchen is fully equipped. The location is close enough to town to fully participate in activities there but far enough for privacy and quiet. HIGHLY recommended!

Craig’s place was awesome! Even better than the pictures. The beds were large and spacious, the pillows were extremely comfortable, and the airbnb was fully stacked on anything we needed (water, towels, beach towels). We got prompt replies on anything additional that we needed (golf cart, ride back to the airport). The location is amazing and quiet. There are three separate security points to enter so me and all my friends felt extremely safe. I would definitely be back here again and really appreciate how smooth everything went!

This house is amazing! It has everything you need and the caretakers are so attentive! Craig’s communication is great and ensured we had everything we needed prior to check-in. This villa is absolutely amazing. The pool area is perfect, very private and clean. The rooms are large and the beds very comfortable. The communication with Craig and Jonathan (the house manager) was very clear and helpful. The house is located at the top of a hill about 5 min walk from the town center which makes it nice and quiet in the evening. If you have reduced mobility, Jonathan can easily help with a golf cart rental. I definitely recommend this villa, it doesn’t disappoint !

This place is PARADISE! Close enough to the main square but far enough to feel like you’re secluded in the quiet jungle. Everything was extremely clean and well decorated. Very responsive host. Highly recommend getting a golf cart to commute back and forth. Will come back ASAP!

What an incredible stay!! Cannot say enough great things about the home. Extremely clean, lots of space, amazing location, exceptional pool and great wifi (for those who are working remotely!). Communication was fantastic throughout the entire process and Jonathan we helpful with recommendations and booking. We just rebooked for June because we couldn’t pass up this gem of an Airbnb!

La Isla Bonita is a perfect Sayulita getaway. The house is gorgeous and exactly as advertised in the description and photos. Jonathan is attentive and friendly - always ready to attend to your needs. The staff is very professional and courteous. Cannot recommend this house enough and will definitely plan to stay again in the future. A truly five star experience!

We had an amazing stay with out 2 young kids (3.5 and 1.5 years old). The house and grounds are absolutely beautiful! The pool has a large shallow area perfect for kids. The house is located at the top of the hill, so we highly recommend a golf cart for getting around, but the location was perfect: peaceful, quiet, and felt a little cooler than lower down in the town. Jonathan was very helpful and responsive about anything we needed and even arranged transportation and a golf cart rental for us. We’d definitely come back!

Craig's house in Sayulita was just what we were looking for. The pool was tons of fun and you feel very secure and private whenever at the house. Jonathan, the house manager was incredibly helpful leading up to our trip and helping us navigate anything we needed during our stay as well. We would absolutely come back again!

This house is an absolute gem!! The house itself is beautiful, super clean, very well appointed and extremely comfortable. The pool was such a pleasant relief after hot days at the beach. Jonathan is an incredible host. The attention he gave and offered to us was way above and beyond. He was 100% available during our entire trip for questions. Really, this is the best overall AirBnB in which we’ve ever stayed and we will be back next time we head to Sayulita. Oh - definitely rent a golf cart (Jonathan can help) as the hills are steep everywhere. Finally, completely unrelated to the house but a helpful tip, bring lots of Mexican pesos in cash. Credit Cards are rarely taken and there are ATMs but we found a lot of them to be out of bills.

Amazing house! Super clean and had everything we needed. Even had a cleaning service come every other day to change the sheets and wash our towels. The location was perfect and a short walk down the hill into town. Would highly recommend!

The house is even better than it looks - such a great layout, great for groups. The swimming pool is in a little zen pocket - the sounds of the animals at night is so pleasant and night swimming was an absolute bonus. Can't recommend it enough! Just note - it's on a hill right above the main part of town which is AWESOME but worth getting a golf cart to move around more easily.
