Our group enjoyed this beautiful home. The wings of bedrooms provided ample privacy and space from noise, with an incredible center living room for gathering, playing games, cooking, and dining. The home exceeded expectations from the pictures on Airbnb -- with bright and breezy light and large, open air space to sprawl. I especially loved a morning pool dip and evening hot tub. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils and seasonings for the fish we caught on a charter trip. We hired a chef who served us breakfast and dinner every day for a very affordable price. The host provided a recommendation of Chef Marben, and we echo this recommendation! Thank you for a wonderful visit - we can't wait to come back next year :)

This villa was perfect for our extended family's holiday. We highly recommend the villa and enjoyed our stay. We were a multi-generational crew with a grandmother, her two grown children and spouses, and their children ranging from 3 teenagers to 2 kids under the age of 5. Quick pros and cons for anyone thinking about staying at the villa (and in El Sargento): Pros: * Restful * 5 bedroom villa works for providing people privacy while having room to congregate in kitchen & living room area * Pool & hot tub (including access to toys, paddle boards & kayaks) * Outdoor space, sand lot for kids to play & gas grill for cooking under the gazebo * Juan Carlos as a caregiver was responsive & available to needs & questions * Spices & condiments in the pantry * Hiking/Running trails Cons: * Pool was cold (great for after run dips) * No direct beach access (great view for kitesailers and sunrises) * Dirt roads (but kinda good being remote) * No big supermarket (drove 1 hr to La Paz)

This house was absolutely wonderful. We were three families all with kids six and under and we feel so lucky to have found Jill’s house! Great location, safe, views that are amazing. Jill was extremely responsive. Rooms were great, kitchen was huge. Outdoor space was perfect (the pool and hot tub were kept clean during our stay by the groundskeeper) and the palapa/grill area was so cool. Fun spot for evening card games and drinks. Thank you for everything!

The place worked out great for our families. Bathroom with each bedroom was great. I gave it a 4 star because of the items in the kitchen. We cooked there almost every night. Pots and pans, baking pans and cookie sheets are pretty beat up and some rusting. Dining chairs are kind of coming apart. We couldn’t use the high chair because tray did not fit. Pool was very cold. Other than we loved everything about the house. Loved the kitchen.

We had an amazing stay at Jill's place and would stay there again. The views are stunning and the house was great for a large group.

Super peaceful place with amazing views. Our family stayed there for a week and it was awesome. Plenty of room to hang out, cook meals, and walk on the beach. It's outside of the dusty hustle of La Ventana which means it's quiet (no barking dogs, crowing roosters, booming car stereos, etc). There is one very good restaurant within walking distance but a short drive to restaurants and grocery store.

Jill's house is beautiful, conveniently located, quiet, close to a nice beach. It's very comfortable for large groups. Jill and Juan Carlos were very attentive to the questions/requests we had. I would definitely recommend it.

Amazing, very comfortable house with a killer view and all the amenities you could want. Jill was extremely responsive and helpful when we needed it and let us use the kayak, which turned out to be magical for us. Our toddler took her first ride on it and had such a blast. We didn’t use the pool because we were in the ocean the whole time, but it was very clean. kitchen was great for cooking and bedrooms and bathrooms were all very comfortable and clean. We would definitely recommend this house and hope to stay here again ourselves!

Jill’s house is beautiful and spacious. It was our first time in La Ventana with x8 people from US. All of the bedrooms, beds, showers, AC units, kitchen amenities, pool, hot tub, etc worked great. The kitchen is huge and well stocked for cooking for a big group. When we needed propane refills or other maintenance, their property manager was very responsive, clear, and helpful. When we had a question for Jill and Matt, they were very responsive; as were the neighbors/owners in the house next door with the shared driveway. The location is amazing; on a cliff side with epic views, 5 min from all the adventure sports and restaurants and beaches in La V. The house felt safe and secure and private; with gate locks and keys; as well as individual room locks and keys. They were great hosts and it’s a great place; would stay here again 100% for kitesurfing or mountain biking in La V.

This place was great. Amazing sunrises and sunsets. The beach is just below the bluff. The house is big with lots of private spaces and everything we needed. We would love to come back.

A lovely quiet house suitable for multiple families or an extended family gathering. All on one level (slight step up into the building) and zero-entry showers were great for grandparents. Two bedrooms off the main living area, and the other three directly accessed through the courtyard. All the beds were comfortable, with a variety of pillows, and bathrooms were clean. Hot tub and pool as advertised. Pool + steep rocky slope to beach = watch small kids carefully! The kitchen was large & reasonably stocked, with better than average knives and fry pans. Stove is low BTU but fine. Outdoor dining area was nice & breezy. Olga cooked some excellent dinners for us at a reasonable price. Quick 3-5min walk to the beach back up driveway, wish there were direct stairs but it's not much harder. You can drive gear down if needed. 6-min drive north to hot springs beach, and Oscaritos is 3 mins south. Jill was extremely communicative, and caretaker Juan Carlos was available locally.

We stayed here with 15 family members and it was the perfect house. The caretaker helped us whenever needed, short walk to the beach, amazing views from the porch and enough space for everyone to retreat. La Vatana was a great small town close by to grab anything we needed or to grab some food.

Fun spot! It’s in an excellent location, short walk to the sand, beautiful views, very spacious and open. Great layout for large families or several groups. Kitchen is well stoked, house manager is very responsive and the pool and hot tub are great additions to an amazing home. Grounds are very well kept, it’s gated fully so our dogs wouldn’t wonder. We will be back again.

Such a lovely house, which is perfect for large groups and/or families. There is a large communal kitchen, two pools, many sunny and shaded areas to relax as well as easy access to the beach. From the house is a short ride to a grocery shop and at least one really nice restaurant (La Tuna). We were two families staying at the house and we had a lovely time!

The photos are amazing but don’t even start to do this place justice- you just have to see it. STUNNING home perched atop a medium bluff overlooking Ventana Bay and Jacques Cousteau Island. Sunrise and sunset are just gorgeous. We are a family of 8 and could have comfortably had a few more. Massive kitchen with all the appliances and basic ingredients you might need. Decent number of good restaurants in the area but we ate in for most meals. (First day we went fishing with Lalo out of La Ventana and brought home some trophy sized Mahi Mahi. Ceviche, fish tacos and sushi for days!!). For scuba we went with Dive Gurus in La Paz (60 min drive away) and we were blown away. Ive been diving since the 90’s and it’s one of the best dive shops I’ve been out with. Best quality rental gear I’ve seen ANYWHERE. I bring my own but would have been fine using theirs. Did a handful of dives- faves were La Reina, La Reinita, and Fang Ming wreck. Pelagic mantas, sea lions, bait balls, my oh my. Bunch of mini marts in town but no full-sized grocery store. Oscaritos is the largest and has most basics plus a bunch of stuff you’d never expect like wasabi, nori, and rice vinegar, lol. Great shop. But for some things we went to a Chedraui in La Paz on days we were there for diving. Beach is a 5-7 min walk down a path adjacent to the house. Great snorkeling and we even were able to go on some nice morning runs on the hard packed sand. House feels remote which is nice but you’re never far away from anything you might need. FYI- most of El Sargento is dirt roads, but I would think any rental car would do fine. We had a suburban, though, so couldn’t say how a tiny Yaris or similar would do. WiFi isn’t awesome, but we weren’t planning on needing it much. Works best in the bedroom where the router is located. Out by the pool and in town, though, we routinely got 4 bars of LTE. Anyway- one of our favorite places we’ve ever rented. Our kids never stopped thanking us all week. Already dreaming up our next stay!

A great house. Way more space than we needed, but perfect for a larger family. It had everyhing and more than we needed. It is farther north than many places, but rhat makes it more quiet, you can see the wind come up first, and great for downwinders! Thanks for the great and helpful hospitality!

This is an ideal place to disconnect from the world (it is 1 hour from La Paz). The oceanfront location gives an experience and views of the wonderful sunrises. The house does not have direct access to the beach (as it is on a “cliff”), but less than 20 meters from the exit there is a descent to the beach. We couldn't use the spa as it was under maintenance. The pool does not have air conditioning, so during the winter months it can be a little cold. The layout of the house is super comfortable. Truly allows each room to have privacy and at the same time they are all together.

This house is AMAZING. Epic views. Huge beachfront home with a huge kitchen, pool, and Jacuzzi on the patio. Tons of space, Big TVs, and amazing beds. Communication was excellent and fast. My entire family loved it, and we had a fantastic trip. We will be back. This is the perfect house for families.
