Simply lovely. Amazing stay, thx again Stacy!!

Great location in a quiet safe street. Easy walking to Park Juárez, Parroquia and nearby restaurants. Through the Property Management company we booked Bibiana to cook for us for 3 nights during our stay - she was great, and made a nice change from eating out. The Property Management were very responsive and helpful when we had a problem with the initial code entry. Highly recommend this house and would happily return.

Had a wonderful stay. Home is well equipped and a beautiful setting. Would highly recommend for being in a peaceful and secure place but only a 10 minute walk to Centro with all the comforts of home. Some of the best restaurants were even on the way to town. Don’t miss La Prada (Peruvian) and for a special dinner, Casa Nostra. Thank you Stacey for offering your home for us to enjoy SMA during Day of the Dead. We loved every minute!!!

From the moment we entered the beautiful courtyard gates stepped inside this palatial home, we felt comfortable and pampered. The location was fantastic--walkable to shops and the lush Benito Juarez park just down the street. What lovely memories we will have of dining out on the terrace overlooking the city lights, and sipping morning coffee in the backyard garden. Thank you, Stacy, for always being so kind and responsive. This was an experience we will treasure!

I've travelled to San Miguel several times over the course of my lifetime to visit local family. This home is among one of my absolute favorite places I've stayed. It was incredibly comfortable with a hint of luxury. I felt very safe in the private, gated community and, despite all the yummy food and drinks I consumed while there for a week, I was able to lose weight from all the convenient walking I did! The location is right by the beautiful park, about an 8 min walk to a popular street for groceries, shopping and dining, and a fun and doable walk to El Jardin and La Parroquia. The kitchen has everything you need to host a large dinner, lots of lovely dishes and glassware and cooking utensils. I found it incredibly thoughtful to be provided with coffee, coffee liners, butter, milk, juice, ham, eggs and a loaf of bread to get us started for the week. My favorite moments at the house were spent on the beautiful patio on the second floor.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the touches and beautiful second floor patio :)

Stacy: Our stay at Casa Elena was absolutely wonderful. You’re attention to detail in providing notes around the villa about how everything operates from the WIFI, door keys, the upstairs patio awnings etc. were so clear and easy to follow. We also appreciated you providing suggestions of where to grocery shop (including where to find your reusable bags). We made several trips to La Comer which had everything we needed. When we arrived at the house, it was a lovely surprise to have supplies provided so we could have breakfast the next morning. I can’t thank you enough for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.

So glad you appreciated the details! Come back soon!

The house is located in an excellent location in SMA. It is in a quiet gated community that is beautiful and peaceful, yet just a short walk to just about anything in SMA. The house is extremely well equipped with dishware, utensils, small appliances, etc... Probably one of the best equipped Airbnbs we have ever stayed in. The property manager was very attentive and communicative as well. I know the next time that we are in SMA with the family we will book again.

So glad you appreciated all the supplies! Come back anytime :)

Casa Elena was a wonderful experience! We were in San Miguel de Allende for our daughter's wedding. Stacey was extremely helpful with Saturday's accommodations for the bride, four bridesmaids, mother-of-the-bride, and mother-of-the-groom to get ready. The first look was done in the beautiful backyard, and the pictures turned out phenomenal. My daughter and son-in-law would love to celebrate their wedding anniversary at Casa Elena next year! Cecilia, the housekeeper, is very attentive and helpful. Not to mention Rebeca, who was also very helpful with our arrival and special request that we had. Overall....the experience was a complete delight.

We rented Stacy's place with some of our family members, and it accommodated everyone perfectly. We were celebrating our parent's 80th birthday and Stacy'splace was the meeting point for extended family to meet for transportation pick up for tours, also recommended by the host's management Co. They were very responsive to all questions and quick to help with an issue we thought we had. The house is in a very quiet private area, it is by far the most beautiful place we have stayed in, walking distance to centro. We loved this place and would recommend

Simply perfect, memorable times with the family at SMA Loved Casa Elena.

This house felt like a home the owner had previously lived in. The house was stocked. The kitchen had all the tools you would have had at home. They had extra linens, electric plugs with power strips all over the house, portable heaters, Alexa units all over the house, and nice large TVs with streaming services. The architecturally beautiful spacious house has three or four terraces, and a well landscaped backyard. The house is located in a very posh gated community that provided an extra layer of security. However ...... the best feature was the beautiful neighborhood just next to the Rosewood Hotel, the park, tree lined streets, adjacent upscale properties, and just a 13 min walk to the Cathedral.

It's a wonderful place, it has great beauty and wonderful views, the house is impressive. Everything is accessible and very safe. It's like another home. Thank you so much.

Lovely location and a beautiful home….few “issues” need to be resolved.

Host Response

Thanks for your review and the notes about the issues that needed attention. We promptly replaced the coffee maker, made sure to replenish the salt and pepper and added a more frequent delivery of the 5 gallon spring water jugs, and are now keeping 3 full bottles for replacement. The house tap water is also double filtered, but it is nice to have the bottled water available! We are so sorry the washer/dryer broke just before your arrival, and the replacement took a few more days then promised to us . Your feedback helps us keep things in order for the next guests. Thank you!

The stay was amazing, and we will come again with our family. It was the perfect place to live abroad. I was able to work and my wife and kids were able to play at the parks near by, the main jardin and centro was very close and we walked everyday. explore the neighborhood, lots of good small stores and restaurants. We even took classes at instituto allende. The kitchen is stocked for what ever cooking that needs to be done, the patio and terrazas were a great place to eat and relax. We cant wait until our next stay.

Stacy's house, Casa Elena, was gorgeous, spotless and in a fantastic neighborhood. It's in a gated community and we felt very safe walking at night. We were two women in our late 60s and a man in his 50s. The house is less than a 10-minute walk from the center of San Miguel. Be aware that San Miguel is a hilly city of cobblestone streets with narrow sidewalks, so you need to make sure you can negotiate walking the streets. My friends both have knee replacements and I've had three knee surgeries. We walked carefully and were able to walk everywhere, using cabs or Uber when we got tired and had to walk uphill. Within the main city, the taxi fare is a flat rate of 60 pesos, or around $3 USD. Uber is also inexpensive. It was really nice for each of us to have our own space with no one sharing a bathroom. Two of the bedrooms were adjoining and we had to walk through one room to access the back bedroom. This would probably be OK for families. The casita is attached to the main house, but it's a separate private unit and you go outside, then come inside to access the common spaces in the house. Two of the bedrooms have gas heaters that worked well. Electric space heaters are in the casita and third bedroom. The kitchen was well-equipped and the pantry was stocked with plenty of dishes and an array of spices for cooking. Plus, it was a joy to be in a kitchen decorated with beautiful Mexican tile. The house has a water filtration system as well as bottled water. We drank the filtered water with no side effects. It was so nice not worrying about showering and brushing our teeth with tap water. The house has a lovely, well-maintained garden and it was great to spend time relaxing outside. The upstairs has two areas to enjoy the views of San Miguel and surrounding neighborhood. Stacy was very communicative and responded quickly via email. Her property manager, Maribel, arranged for a driver to pick us up and take us back to the airport in Leon. Both of our drivers were very helpful. This house was a huge reason why our stay in San Miguel was such a magical trip. I would recommend Casa Elena to anyone.
