3BR Villa in Brisas de Zicatela

Antonio

Excellent, 1 month ago

The house is very nice and comfortable. The only thing that I think is important to mention, and that has nothing to do with the accommodation, is the area where it is located. It is a dirt road area, and the streets are difficult to navigate by car, and even more difficult to navigate on foot. In contrast, Katia's availability and attention are practically immediate. She is very friendly and helpful. She helped us not only to find our way around, but also shared excellent recommendations for activities, places to eat and have fun. I highly recommend the stay.

We had an amazing time at Casa June. Host was extremely friendly, responsive and helpful. The house is stunning, views from the top floor (kitchen and pool area) are incredible, still dreaming about the sunset there. Place was very clean and we appreciated that it was also cleaned halfway through our stay. One of the rooms is considerably bigger than the other two (from the listing we thought there would be two bigger rooms) but all rooms are beautiful and spacious enough. Would definitely recommend and stay again next time I am in Puerto Escondido!

We had a fabulous stay at Casa June. The home was comfortable and as described--we especially loved the infinity pool and beautiful sunsets. We are thankful to Leonises for being a quick and attentive communicator, from facilitating our check-in process to providing excellent recommendations for a home cook and taxi and food delivery services. A trip highlight was seeing a large pod of dolphins and a humpback whale during a morning boat tour.

Wow what a place! My friend and I stayed here and had a hard time leaving the property because it was so relaxing, clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this property for groups up to 6. It was a little pricey for two of us especially when plenty of room with three luxury bedrooms but that's on us, not them! My only note is it's a bit hard to find and phone service isn't great so make sure to drop a pin on google maps BEFORE leaving wifi so you can direct the taxi. We arrived at night so it was hard to pick out. Also, it is up quite a large hill from town so wouldn't recommend for anyone who has trouble with hills. We didn't mind the exercise and ensured a nice private respite from the busy downtown area.

It’s a picture perfect home. This area is extremely hot. I appreciated every room having its own ac. We had issues with the internet on and off. And the hot water wasn’t consistent. For the most part because of how hot it is it wasn’t a big deal. Getting to the area is a little rocky but it’s a very peaceful area. Pro tip this has nothing to do with the home. But take extra clothing as there is no washer and the laundry locations are very busy. Also if you’re looking to do tours, go to the location itself because the locals do charge double for their commission. I recommend the turtles releasing. It’s a beautiful experience and only $200 pesos per person. The locals aren’t very friendly at all, even tho I look Mexican. From my understanding they don’t like the tourism. Tacos Lleyva was our favorite authentic taco spot, tacos Árabes are delicious . I was so disappointed that the food wasn’t what I expected. Also Mercado Zicatela has really good cheap food.

Amazing! Thank you so much

We loved the stay at Casa June! It is quite spacious and a spectacular view. The beach (Punta Zicatela) and the restaurants are walking! Everything is the same as the descriptions and the photos. We loved that he sent us several recommendations to go out to eat nearby, beaches and a taxi contact called José who was 10/10. I recommend them 100% if they want to go with friends or family to have a good time. Thank you very much to the host! <3

The house is located on the top of a hill at the top of La Punta. Beautiful views, very quiet, and about a 10 minute walk down to the beach on the one mainstreet. It is best to stay in touch with the hosts as Google and Apple Maps do not properly locate the house, and the street the house is on has no street signs. The house has three bedrooms each with a bathroom and air conditioner. The photos of each of the bedrooms is not accurate, but they are each very nice and the air-conditioning works very well. And the air conditioning in each of the bedrooms is excellent, which is a plus if you are here in a heat wave! The hosts are super responsive in terms of questions and issues, and they are especially good on what app. I look forward to staying here again, it’s a beautiful house with a lot of space and beautiful views and very quiet. And the mangoes dropping from the trees all day long is kind of amazing and delicious.

We had a great time at Casa June, comfortable and sufficient spaces for our family of four. We highlight the third floor where the terrace, pool, living room and kitchen make an integrated and pleasant living space. The location is very convenient both to go to the Brisas de Zicatela area (walking) and the town of Puerto Escondido (by car). The comfortable rooms to rest. In general, a nice space to enjoy a few relaxing days with privacy.

Great beach home with excellent location/views, easy check-in, spacious rooms, and good communication from host. Keep in mind the bedrooms are all separate units, and the living space is open-air with no air conditioning (this may not be obvious from the photos). I am not giving 5 stars because the house is in need of attention/updates, for example many walls are marked-up, several doors do not latch properly, and some curtains are stained/torn. We were expecting better upkeep for the price that we paid.

Megane and Lolo are very warm, accommodating hosts who gave us many great recommendations and were extremely responsive and flexible. The house has a gorgeous view with the infinity pool overlooking the sunset every day, incredible for photos.

The house is very nice and big. The pool was not clean, we communicated it and they went to clean it. From there in more, everything was excellent!!

Host Response

Thank you for your comment and my apologies for the pool ( we had a little technical detail with the filter) That works very well for you !

This AirBnB met all of our needs. We especially liked that all three bedrooms had their own bathroom. Location wise: it was an easy, couple minutes walk to the town and the beach. Communication was always easy and quick. This is a great place to stay in Puerto Escondido.

We loved staying at Casa June for our week in Puerto Escondido. It was very comfortable for our group, great rooms and shared spaces with all the amenities you could need as well as an incredible view. The walk into the main part of town was rustic and has a bit of a hill but we all found it very easy and quick, and had no problems travelling between locations on foot regularly throughout the day and evening time. The host was very nice and easy to communicate with. We would definitely look at staying here if we came back, highly recommend.

Our stay at Casa June was marvellous! The house was perfect for us as a group of five friends. It had a stunning view and we loved the small infinity pool! It was very private and within a short walk you were right in the center of the hipster area of Zicatela beach/La Punta with a lot of bars, restaurants and shops plus access to the beach. The street was more private, but with other AirBnBs close by. The area still felt very safe as Puerto Escondido in general. Megan was great with fast communication and provided recommendations for restaurants and airport transport. We highly recommend this AirBnB for a beautiful getaway. Thank you Megan!

Pros: Secluded quiet house with great view of la Punta. The rooms are tidy and nice. The infinity pool at the top is excellent for chilling and enjoying the view. Very friendly and attentive host. Overall a very pleasant stay! Cons: You'll need a car if you are planning to move often to the beach and restaurants. Perhaps I've been too absent from La Punta for a while but the price seemed a bit steep for the house finish and decor.

The house is nice. The pool and terrace are the highlight of the house. The check-in options were very convenient for us. The location is a bit far, uphill, and dark at night. Something we didn't like was that we paid a cleaning fee, but still, the host also asked us to clean the kitchen.

Host Response

I think there was a misunderstanding here : the check out instruction was to clean their dirty dishes, they never ask them to clean the kitchen ! The house is located a 7 min walk from the beach and all the businesses and the very safe area as there was never any inconvenience in 4 years Again, I'm so sorry for the misunderstanding and hope to see you again soon at Casa june

Just like in the pictures. A place with a lot of space and clean.

The place is better in person than in pictures. From the beginning, Lauriane gave us her best recommendations, and yes, we used them. The beds were super comfortable. We wished we had more days to stay there. We would definitely stay there again. The location is perfect. If you want to relax, you won't hear any party noise at night, but if you want to party, you only have to walk a few blocks. I totally recommend it, especially for small groups.

Best neighborhood in Puerto Escondido, delicious restaurants lots of places to choose from, we loved that there were lots of options not only sea food , several live music places with delicious food, we rented a car but he Zicatela beach is at walking distance 10-15 min approximately Soap and shampoo provided were good quality, a cleaning lady went at the middle of our stay to change linens and towels Rooms are very private and spacious, we definitely recommend casa June, we went with our three children the youngest age 11 and the all loved it, playa Zicatela, Carrizalillo and Bacocho are STUNNING we will definitely come back , thanks you!!!!

My wife and I did an extended getaway here and absolutely loved our time here and in Puerto Escondido. The location is right near a ton of restaurants, bars, stores, and to the beach (< 10 min walk to practically everything). Outside of the Airbnb, Lauriane was fantastic in communicating with us in terms of our wants and needs. Already trying to plan when we can come back!
