Very cosy place, beautiful sorroundings, peaceful and perfect to sleep

Michael and Sandra were very helpful!

We really enjoyed our stay at Michael and Sandra's for a short visit to the area. We didn't get a chance to meet Michael, but we must point out that Sandra is very welcoming and very helpful. She also organized our great night tour in the reserve, which is a short walk from their accommodation, during which we saw many animals. We were also very lucky to see many capuchin monkeys from our accommodation on our first morning. :) Recommended!

The place was beautiful and exactly as described – in the middle of nature, quiet and surrounded by beautiful greenery. We felt very comfortable there. A special highlight was the night hike with Michael. With a lot of knowledge and enthusiasm, he guided us through the forest at night and showed us many exciting animals. 🦥🐍🐸 Sandra was very helpful and supported us with great information and tips on what else we could do in the area. Thank you for the wonderful time – we will be happy to come back!

Lovely home to stay while in Monteverde. Home was designed with practical functionality along with its amenities. Sandra and Michael were great hosts. We also booked Michael as our night tour guide. The reserve was within walking distance from the home. He was very informative and spotted many amazing animals for us to see.

We really had a great time at Michael and Sandra's place. We went on a tour with Michael in the Curi Cancha reserve, and he allowed us to see many species of birds, including the Bell Bird and quetzals, as well as monkeys. It was a highlight of our stay. We highly recommend this place if you want to have a great time in the nature of Costa Rica. A big thank you to our hosts!

I had a wonderful stay at Michael and Sandra’s place! They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always quick to respond to any questions. The cabin was spotless, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable after long days of exploring Monteverde. One of the absolute highlights of my trip was spending time with Michael as a guide. His knowledge of the local wildlife is outstanding, and thanks to him I was able to see and photograph so many amazing animals that I never would have found on my own. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on my next visit to Monteverde. Highly recommended!

Sandra and Michael are lovely! The house was impeccable. We felt safe. Perfect for a short stay. The water is not very hot for the shower. We did the night tour with Michael. It was super interesting! A must-do! Thanks to both of you for the warm welcome!

Mickael and Sandra are wonderful hosts. The place is comfortable and located very close to the animal shelter. Next to the house, we observed capuchin monkeys and a sloth. Mickael is a nature guide. We went on a night outing in the reserve with him; it was magical.

Book this house; you won't regret it. It's close enough to the village to find what you need, and at the same time you have an incredible feeling of nature. One evening, about fifteen capuchin monkeys passed right by the house! The house is easy to find and very clean. You won't need a 4x4 (but elsewhere in Monteverde, you will). We also booked a nighttime excursion with our children (9 and 11 years old) and Michael, who is a very good guide. He also gave us tips on other things to do in the area. I really recommend him.

Really enjoyable stay. Good hosts, feels in the heart of the jungle with a great location (car is probably needed to get into Monteverde town. Monteverde brewing company is great. Michael’s night tour was superb, highly recommend.

Michael & Sandra's house was really nice. Very cosy and and in the middle of a beautiful forest a few kilometers from Monteverde. Michael took us on an incredible night tour from the house during which we saw many animals (butterflies, insects, pit viper, boa constrictor, scorpions, bats, sloths). Not only could he spot a lot of wildlife, but he was great at telling us about all of them. Our 2 daughters (5 and 8 years old) loved it and this has been one of the highlight of our trip in Costa Rica.
