Garo

An absolutely wonderful apartment about 20 minutes outside of Puerto Vallarta. The apartment has everything you need to cook for yourself, and it also has a restaurant in the same complex if you didn't feel like cooking lunch or dinner. It's super easy to get into central PV by bus or by taxi. It's a beautiful location - myself and my family would spend evening on the balcony watching the sun go down - or spotting all the different sea life (including sea turtles!) I would highly recommend, especially for a longer stay!

The residence in which Garo's apartment is located is really very pleasant. The natural setting is beautiful, the aesthetics of the place are sober and superb. The atmosphere is super relaxing and everything is done to make you feel good. The apartment has an extraordinary view, it is very pleasant, comfortable, well-equipped and in all respects as described. We spent a dream week in Mismaloya at Garo's place, we highly recommend it.

Garo’s place is a wonderful property in Mismaloya! The condo itself is beautiful, the grounds are wonderful, & the pool is fabulous! It’s hard to leave the view, stunning! Having Mismaloya Grill on the property is a plus. Garo was responsive when we had a question. Highly recommend

Great condo near Puerto Vallarta. MUCH better than staying in town, IMO - but we knew that going in (having stayed at another place nearby). Great pool, nice little gym (for those who care), easy access to the beach (which, honestly is the best beach in the vicinity), and was very secure (felt safe to my wife and with our young kids). The condo was just as described and pictured. I would definitely stay here again! Also, if you are looking to do any SCUBA diving while here, PV Ocean Tours operates (leaves/returns) right from the beach near this condo (Mismaloya) - so no need to travel to town to get on the boat! They were great, and the diving was pretty good! Good snorkeling on the rocky sides of the Mismaloya bay as well!

This place is very nice and the view is amazing. We have stayed there several times and we are thinking of going back in December. The host and the on-site personal are always there for you. I highly recommend this place.

This was our second time at Garo's and we just love it! The view, the property, hot tub that is actually hot and a great lap pool, just steps from the beach.....the condo itself has a well equipped kitchen and comfy furniture. I highly recommend this rental.

We had a wonderful trip and would definitely come back again. Lots of sea creatures, activities, and relaxation. The unit was beautiful and the people friendly. Garo was extremely responsive and provided helpful tips to get us there. Only minor complaint was that unit was not ready when we arrived. Had to wait two hours after expected checkin. Overall an amazing trip. Highly recommended for families or couples.

This was the first trip to Puerto Vallarta for my wife and me. This turned out to be one of the most enjoyable vacations we have ever taken. The view from the balcony of the condo is unbelievable and matches perfectly the photos in the listing. My wife and I both commented on how at peace we felt during our stay. The amenities were outstanding and everything was extremely clean and tidy. The owner provided detailed information and directions on the condo and also provided helpful information on the surrounding area and transportation options. There is convenient access to the on-site restaurant, pool and the beach by the bay. We were able to easily meet up with our fishing guide on four different days down at the beach. The fishing was unbelievable and provided unforgettable memories. We loved our stay!

We cannot say enough about Garo’s place. Open concept yet closes off for Master Bedroom privacy. Gorgeous view off nice comfortable balcony. Towels and linens were soft and the bed, pillows and comforter were super soft. The other patrons were all lovely as was the staff. We felt so safe and secure as this building has top notch security. The pool was big and water temperature perfect. Garo himself was always available if we had any questions. We highly highly recommend Garo’s place.

I would 10000% come back to Garo's place. It looks exactly like the pictures (sunsets and all!), was clean and felt very safe with the security at front, front desk staff and fobs to get in and out. Pablos (AKA Mismaloya Grill) was amazing downstairs- we ate there for quite a few lunches and dinners. Mismaloya beach is about a 20-30 minute cab ride (depending on traffic) from downtown Puerto Vallerta so if you're looking for a peaceful getaway- this is your place! However, there still is a good amount to see in Mismaloya; the filming of Night of the Iguana was here and you can walk to the old set, there are massages on the beach, snorkeling available, boat trips, and a lot of restaurants around. If you walk to the Mismaloya village (about a 5 minute walk) there are tequila distilleries, a small market (vegetables, grains, etc.) and some restaurants (we personally loved El Patio and Tony's).

This place is exactly as the pictures. Its clean and well kept. The area is very peaceful and everybody is very friendly. I would for sure stay there on my next visit.

Garo is very responsive and the condo is wonderful. We had everything we needed and were all pleased with the space. The balcony is lovely and relaxing. The only complaint is that the bar across the bay played very loud music Saturday from about 4pm until Sunday at 7:15am.

This is a very comfortable updated unit. The sunsets from the deck are amazing and we enjoyed the short walk to the beach.

I can't recommend this condo enough. The staff is incredible, the condo is absolutely stunning (exactly as pictured). The beach is walkable - and there are endless activities that you can schedule with Ricardo on the beach. My husband and I brought my 68 year old mother, our 14 year old daughter, and our 20 year old niece ~ and there was something for everyone to do. The trip into the Romantic District or old town is about 20 minutes by taxi and that is where the main action is. However, it is such a treat to return to the gorgeous view at the condo after an action packed day or night. Also, there is horseback riding and ATV riding right outside the hotel Barcelo - all absolutely worth the trip. Don't forget to visit Eden, where Predator was filmed and relax in a hammock above the river. I loved this trip and am grateful for Garo as our host.

This was our fourth condo to stay in at La Jolla de Mismaloya. This was by far the nicest one we’ve stayed in. It’s such a quiet, peaceful place. Don’t come here if you want night life and parties. But if you want to sit by the cleanest, emptiest pool in Mexico with a good book- this is the perfect place!! The sunsets are amazing. The on-site restaurant is lovely.

If you want a good spot to sit and watch a beautiful sunset, this is it! The bed in the main room is very comfy and it's wonderful to leave the sliding doors open and fall asleep to the sound of the waves. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. The hair dryer and iron work very well. There are two laundry rooms available in the evenings. One is located in building 7 on the 3rd floor, the other is in building 5, on the 2nd floor. The pool is heated and wonderful, as is the jacuzzi. The onsite restaurant makes great pizza and delivers. Avoid eating at the restaurants on the beach - the food is over priced and really bad. Try El Patio in the town itself. Good food and great atmosphere. The closest OXXO convenience store is in the town. To get there, take the road across the street from the resort. The bus is very convenient. The driver will give change, but it helps to have smaller bills. There is a great beach just 10 mins by bus - Las Palmares. You can rent umbrellas, chairs, and there is a cash only restaurant with good tacos and great drinks. Be sure to bring extra water to the condo to get you through until you have a chance to buy more at the OXXO or order a delivery. A lovely spot that's close enough to Puerto Vallarta for easy day trips, but provides a welcome respite at the end of the day. Garo is very responsive. The front desk staff are very helpful.

Sunset views from this condo are just Perfection! The location of the condo couldn’t be any more perfect. We wanted a quiet place to get away and we scored with this one. Garo was quick to answer any questions and the staff at the condo from housekeeping, security and front desk were always available to help in any way! I will be staying here again!! Mismaloya is a cute town with several restaurants that we enjoyed exploring!

Great location. Views are breathtaking. Place is very spacious. Kitchen had everything you needed to cook a meal. If you choose to eat out, Restaurant on site has great food. We ate there 3 times out of 5 nights. Beach is a 5 min walk. With other restaurants nearby. Watersports, fishing excursions which we did. Overall a great trip.

We loved everything about the apartment! It is extremely secure, every time we enter the building our temperature was checked and there was hand sanitizer given. The concierge was incredibly helpful. The bus to the city is regular and everyone inside Was masked. I found people to be very friendly. The building itself seem to be inhabited by mostly American retirees, the Jacuzzi was an incredible 104° and the view was just out of this world. So many places around the condo grounds to have a moment to yourself and watch the sunset. The restaurant downstairs was open and super convenient, changing the menu frequently. Dreaming about going back!

Garo’s place is an incredible value - the view is absolutely stunning, the apartment is very spacious, and is equipped with everything you could possibly need. The private beach is fantastic where you can easily rent a boat or jet skis, eat lunch or get massages and the complex itself has a pool, hot tub and other amenities - all convenient and top notch. The staff was very accommodating and check-in/check-out could not have been easier. Would absolutely stay here again or recommend to anyone!

Garo's place is very beautiful and extremely clean and comfortable and the views are as described and shown in the pictures. The beach area is small but the pool is wonderful and relaxing and the restaurant in the complex is really good and convenient. It's a lovely place to eat dinner and watch the sunset. We enjoyed the restaurants in Mismaloya and the people were very friendly. We especially enjoyed the Botanical Garden. I recommend staying at Garo's and avoiding the hectic city life of Puerto.

The place is nice and clean. The security personal is very polite and professional. The pool is big and the grounds are beautiful! The ocean is a short walk distance and you can go to Los Arcos to snorkel from Mismaloya, eat in the little restaurants by the ocean etc. We loved our time at Garo’s place. If you choose to book here just know that the access to the beach is easy but you must be back before 4:30 pm or you will have to walk through a hotel and on the side of the highway to come back to the property because the don’t allow the entry back after 4:30 pm. Beautiful sunset view and very comfortable beds and nice updated showers! We loved it!

Location, location, location. If you’re looking to relax and enjoy some rest away from the hustle and bustle of life in general and away from all the tourists in downtown then this is the place for you. You can’t beat these views and the sounds of the waves that lull you to full relaxation. The place is very roomy and you have views as soon as you walk into the place. The restaurant did not open until 4 pm due to pandemic but nothing a little drive can’t take care of when you’re hungry. This place is well worth it and would return here on our next vacation.

Amazing view, clean house with everything you need, great stay!

Garo's place is the absolute best! The location is perfectly situated in beautiful Mismaloya. (A short bus or taxi ride away from PV, but enough distance from town that you can enjoy a more intimate side of Mexico) La Jolla de Mismaloya Condominiums are all amazing, however Garo's condo stands out above the rest. It Is very easy to access in comparison to most of the condo's, has a spectacular view high enough you can see over the palm trees, and is beautifully updated inside. The rooms are all very nice, each offering something great, weather it be a usable fun space, privacy, or open luxury. The kitchen has recently been updated. It is easy to use, and has all the cooking equipment you need. I love the open floorplan which allows you to cook and socialize at the same time. The bathrooms are also recently updated and very nice. I love how big the showers are! Garo is a fantastic host. He is quick to respond, understanding, flexible, and thoughtful. Garo was quick to keep us posted on any changes caused by COVID. Thank you for all your extra efforts Garo! We recomend Garo's place to all our friends and family.

The apartment is luxurious , the view is incredible, the very friendly staff, the only thing I didn't like very much, personally it is fair to spend time on the beach which we thought was a little uncomfortable with the boats , otherwise very comfortable , good food, etc.

If you choose Garo's place,you will get even more than you see in the picture coz it's real. Absolutley stunning place

Absolutely a gorgeous place with sweets views and great location. Outside the hustle and bustle of town yet plenty of action to be had. Saw 2 whales from the Lanai. The condo has newly updated stylish furnishings. Can't go wrong!

A great week and a great condo! We wanted something close enough but far enough from Puerto Vallarta, and Mismaloya and Garo's condo was perfect! The condo itself is updated, spacious, and has everything we needed. The condo complex itself has a great amenities and is well managed. We especially loved hanging at the pool overlooking the beach below. We got around by bus, walking, or taking one of the panga boats from Mismaloya or Boca de Tomatlan. We used Pig Out Groceries to preorder starter food and drink for the trip. The owner, Robin, doesn't travel as far as Mismaloya for delivery, but offered to meet us in PV with our taxi driver after pick up at the airport. I highly recommend Pig Out. Also, we loved walking across the street to Mismaloya village where we could get additional food staples as needed. Everyone we met was really nice, and the owner Garo, was very responsive and kind. We will definitely be back!

Apartment with superb views of the bay, very clean and in a good location

If you are considering Garo's place, just book it. It is a gorgeous, well appointed condo. The beds are comfortable, the kichen has everything you need, huge tv, plenty of places to relax and a fantastic balcony to enjoy the spectacular view. There is a pool with lots of loungers and an excellent restaurant next to it. You can walk into Mismayola to get groceries (coffee, beer, fruit, veggies, tortillas) from one of the small stores or have fresh seafood at Tony's Restaurant. There is a bus right outside the condo to go into PV's old town for 30 pesos. We were tired of the all inclusive experience and this was the best vacation decision we made. Can't wait to go back. We really enjoyed our stay at Garo’s place. He was a great host, always communicated effectively and in good time. He also provided a detailed welcome packet which we found to be so helpful. The location was awesome and there was a private walking path for the guests which we really appreciated. My favorite part about our stay?? The view!! It was incredible! Absolutely beautiful and exactly like the pictures. The kitchen was fully equipped and had EVERYTHING a guest would need. Plus the staff were friendly and helpful. I’d definitely stay again.

We *loved* staying at Garo and Katie’s amazing condo! The La Jolla complex itself is top-notch; the facilities are sparkling clean, everyone is very friendly, and the views are unbeatable. The condo was beautifully appointed and had of all the amenities we could have wanted: reliable wifi, TV with Roku, full kitchen, extra linens, beach cooler, and AC. We traveled with our almost two-year old, and she had a blast playing on the balcony; the glass was nice because she could enjoy the views, too, and be safe. We also played in the pool, which was gorgeous, and the trip down to the beach was easy - the stairs place you right at the north end, so all you need to do is walk along until you get to the chairs serviced by one of the restaurants, order yourself a tropical beverage, and enjoy the view. 🏝 We arranged for a shuttle from the airport (Superior Tours Vallarta - they were awesome, too) that stopped at a megastore on our way so we could get groceries for the week, and we cooked most nights in the large and well appointed kitchen. We appreciated having a dining table inside after a long day at the beach, but we ate most of our meals at the table on the balcony, enjoying the views and sunsets. Housekeeping came during our visit to refresh the linens and do a quick tidy, which we appreciated. Garo was very responsive to any questions we had along the way. While we found the front desk staff very nice, most of them didn’t speak much English. That was fine after we figured out the basics. Note that you can buy big jugs of drinking water at the desk for 25 pesos and the laundry room is open for non-owners after 4pm (sign key out at desk). Going to town is a breeze because the bus stop is literally across the street from the unit. It costs 7 pesos to take the bus (orange & white) to town. If you get a chance, try the sunrise tour of Los Arcos with Paddle Zone at the far end of the bay - awesome experience! I did it on the the SUP and it was awesome. During our 10 days there, and we couldn’t have needed anything more, and we will definitely be back next year!

Katie and Garo's place was great. From the moment we stepped into the lobby of the apartment complex the staff was very friendly. The apartment was sparkling clean, modern appliances, you can tell it has been updated recently, in my case I loved the big TV; good internet and more than enough bandwidth. The AC worked perfectly. The kitchen has everything that you will need to cook a meal if that is what you want to do like us. It came with a lot of extras that we weren't expecting like spices, oil to cook, ice maker, etc. And the views... simply amazing... 10 pesos (0.50 US) is the bus fare that will take you one way to the old town of Puerto Vallarta, it takes about 20 minutes so the apartment is in a great place, no crowds but close enough for you to go and have fun in the town. We will come back, thanks.

I loved Garo’s place! It was open and nicely done kitchen. The house was very spacious and clean. The view was amazing. Had a private entrance to the beach where we enjoyed Many drinks and food. The little store was a short walk away. 100 pesos if you took taxi and if they waited. Bus that takes you to Centro was right across the street and drops you right off in front of Garo’s place for your bus ride back. He has lovely art work in the condo. The restaurant at the condos was very delicious and we ate there a few times. Pool was nice and clean and even had pool supplies that you can use in the closet. Staff was polite and so was the cleaning lady. They also offer free laundry service which was great for us because we didn’t have to pack dirty clothes. The WiFi was quick and we were able to get work done before leaving for the day. I would recommend this place to everyone because I truly enjoyed it.

The staff that greeted us was super friendly and helpful. Our views of the ocean views were amazing and the sunset were spectacular. The upgraded kitchen was sincerely appreciated as we love to cook. The pots and pans were top notch. The whole place was clean and comfortable. As Superhosts, we recognized all the little attention to detail. We really enjoyed our stay!!

We appreciated the great facility and staff, including the humor and guidance provided by Louis. The restaurant on site prepared quality meals, our favorite was the avacado shrimp salad. Special thanks to Garo for his quick responses to questions.

Great location on the beach - nice and quiet area, about 15 mins taxi from old town. Some good local restaurants on the beach / in the area if you want to stay local or a taxi ride to old town for more choice. Our kids had a great time in the pool (it was 28 degrees) and it is a short walk to the local zoo if you want to check it out. Garo was easy to deal with and we had a great holiday - especially loved sitting on the balcony looking at the amazing view. We would return again.

Now that we have been several times there my family and me still love this place. The experience to be in a very private place but still close to Vallarta is absolutely unique. The appartement is well equipped and the new kitchen a designer dream that fits the highest standarts. Best of all is the view from the balcony and the proximity to some natural highlights like Los Arcos , Las Animas, Yelapa (cascades!) You just go down to the beach with a towel and sandals and a rent a boat that gets you to all this nice places. All in all our best recommendation for accomodation around Vallarta.

Amazing unit with an amazing view of Mismaloya bay. Between the awesome day trips with the boat taxi to Animas and Yelapa, easy bus access to puerto Vallarta, wonderful lightning and thunder shows every evening and the sparkling clean condition of the condo it was a trip to be remembered. We will definitely be back!

We booked this appartement based on the excelent recommendations in AirBnB and we hit the bulls-eye. There cant be a better ocean view than from the sixth floor than this. The rooms are very spacious -- much wider than the pictures demonstrate. Its all there what you need for several days. Very clean and well maintained. Air conditioning working properly and adjustable individually in different zones of the appartement. Internet works but connectivity is a little poor. It didnt bother since we explored all day long the beautiful beaches close to Mismaloya. The host Garo is very attentive and answered immediately our questions. We will come back for sure . Within our Top-Air-BnB experiences. 100% recommendable!!

The aparterment is very good and very clean, beyond my expectation. We can hear the sound of the wave in the apartment, and the sense is very beautiful. The beach is good, very close by walking. The apartment has all the things we need, the front desk is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our vocation here and appreciated for all the details arranged by Caro in the apartment.
